Looks like LP 7.9 breaks both these apps on my system. When I load, my shortcuts still work, but as soon as I go into Apps Organizer, it crashes and gives me the bug screen. Folder Organizer let me get into the setup once, then it crashed as well.

While trying to do a massive clear out to regain space, I see that my Folder Organizer Lite is massive and keeps being updated and getting bigger. I only use it to change icons and have only created two folders. Is Apps Organizer better for such limited use? It appears a lot smaller too. Is it really smaller? Before I delete stuff I want to keep just so I can download App Organizer to try it out, will this app do what I want and be a smaller app? What are the main advantages to keep Folder Organizer?

View 3 Replies View RelatedI used Apps Organizer to create folders of related apps (like Games, Japanese, etc) to go on to my home screen. I rather like it. Just one irritation, to which I wonder if anyone has a solution. If I switch the phone off for any reason, when I switch it back on, the folders are all still on the home screen, with the icon I have attributed to the folder, but the names all change to 'Apps label'. I can't find any obvious solution, other than to delete the shortcuts and reintroduce them, but would be grateful for anyone's thoughts. If there is another similar application I could use in its place, that would be fine - I'm not especially attached to Apps Organizer, though I do like it other than the name thing.

View 27 Replies View RelatedWhat I'm thinking is I would like to have all of my net radio widgets (last.fm, slacker, Pandora) all on my lock screen, but I don't want to use my whole screen on widgets not in use. It might be cool if there was an app that looked like a 1x1 icon on the screen but then expanded to give you what is essentially a home screen. Sort of like how folder organizer lets you house multiple icons under that space of just one on the home screen. Does something like this exist?

I'm trying to customize the contact icons in the app 'Folder Organizer' and seem to be having trouble. Is it even possible to create contact icons in that app? I don't want to see the default blue & white icons, but either the Facebook icons in my address book or simply ones I choose myself.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI just installed Folder Organizer Lite on my Desire in order to be able to change the icons on my home screen. It worked like a charm, but now I have a question. I am able to edit the name of the icons, for example I have changed Advanced Task Killer to ATK, but I would like to have the option to not have any text at all. When I go to alter the text as usual and just delete the text, nothing changes. So does anyone out there know how to completely remove text from underneath icons?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm hoping someone on this forum can help me with 3 unfortunate issues I've been noticing since I rooted last night. I rooted 2.2 on my Droid X and backed up everything with Titanium backup. I removed a bunch of bloatware but I made sure that everything I renamed from .apk to .bak was "safe to remove" based on messages I read on multiple forums. I am also running Launcher Pro Plus. Here are the issues I'm seeing. Every time I power down the phone and then turn it back on, I'm seeing the following issues:
1) WidgetLocker - the Alarm Clock v2 tiny clock icon that I have on my lock screen disappears. Also, the Switch Pro Widget (Size 4) that I have on my lock screen also disappears. I can put them back no problem but as soon as I power down and turn the phone back on, they're gone again.
2) Folder Organizer - I have several shortcuts on my home screen with custom icons. For example, I have a shortcut with an icon that looks like a pair of headphones. Tapping on this icon opens the Folder Organizer shortcut to reveal my music player, Pandora, FM Radio, etc. Every time I power down the phone and then turn it back on, all of the icons revert back to the default Folder Organizer icon.
3) Anytime I plug in my phone via USB to my computer, Folder Organizer and Widget Locker fail with a force close. This happens regardless of whether or not I have USB debugging checked or what mode it's on (PC Mode, USB, etc). I tried reverting a few items from .bak back to .apk but it didn't fix either of these issues. Anyone have any ideas? I would GREATLY appreciate it, thanks so much!
Anyone know what Icon packs, etc would work with this app? I tried a few but it does not recognize any?

Now Apps Organizer is free and Folder Organizer has a free trial version, but Better cut is not free not does BetterCut have a free trial version.
Please tell me what you like/dislike about the apps, primarily BetterCut and Folder Organizer (paid).
*How do they run?
*Are there any major bugs?
Is it easy to change the icons for apps on my home screens?
*Is BetterCut really worth $2?
*Is Folder Organizer really worth $1.35?
Are any of these going to meet my needs of wanting to change the icons on my home screens?
*Are the icons dependant on the app that changed them (in other words, if I uninstall BetterCut after changing an icon, will the icon still be what I changed it to, or will it go back to the default icon)?
*If you had $2 and could only choose one of these apps to change the icons on your home screen, which would you choose?
I am going to play around with the two free versions of these apps and see if I like them, but unfortunately, BetterCut is an all or nothing app. I just don't want to feel like I wasted any money because the app ended up not doing what I wanted it to do.
I'm wondering if there's an app or something I can use to control the chaos that is my app drawer. I keep all my commonly used apps on my Home screens, but when I need to use something less common, it takes me a bit of time to sort through the list and find what I need. I hate that some apps (Where's My Droid, Backgrounds, Gmail Notifier, etc) do little more than give me settings or other one time use functions but still clutter up my app drawer. Ideally, there could be some kind of app that allows me to make folders within the app drawer and reduce the mess a bit. I know there are such things for the Home screens, but does anyone use something similar for the app drawer?

I have the Jorte and I do like it but for some reason it is now linked to my Face book and puts in all my friends birthdays which I do NOT want in there and I can't seem to unlink it. Here's what I'd like:
a calendar with daily, weekly, monthly view
To do lists (which can be synched with the calendar and crossed off the list if completed on a scheduled day)
Reminders, alarms, deadlines
Ability to work offline (in case I'm in an area w/o service)
Ability to setup recurring appts
Lists (e.g. grocery, books to read, people who owe me $, etc.) - where I can see ALL the lists in a nice lay out and be able to prioritize within lists
All of the above should have a widget so I can see my calendar/lists from my homescreen
Ability to add comments to any of the above
Does anyone know an app that does all these things? I've tried: TooDo, Astrid, Jorte, etc. Jorte seems to come the closest so far...
I use gmail and google docs/contacts/calender and have an HTC Evo. I want to be able to make a list of contacts that I want to call so that I have just select them from a list and call them without having to look up each contact . Is there an app that will do this for me?
View 3 Replies View RelatedI've recently got my hands on HTC Hero which happens to be my first smart phone ever (I was using the ancient Siemens M65 for a long time before that).And I'm currently trying to find a way to at least replicate (I'm not hoping for improving anymore) the organizer functionality I had on my Siemens M65.I've tried Googling, I've downloaded lots of various suggested apps, but I'm still coming up short.So I'll try listing things that I'd *really* like to have in an organizer app and perhaps someone could point me in the right direction.Of note is that I use organizer simply as a reminder engine. I don't plan my days on it, so I could care less for 'event duration', 'finding free time', and such functionality. I just want to have good reminder functionality.Features I'm looking for:
* Selectable snooze period when reminder goes off -- e.g. on my old Siemens I could choose between 5/15/60 minutes and 1 day. This seems to be sorely lacking in most (all?) applications I've checked.
* Easily selectable reminder date & time. Lots of applications seem to use that date/time picker that only has + and - buttons for choosing month/date/hour/minute -- this seems to border on unusable for me. Although if application is otherwise perfect, I can overlook that
* Notification (via widget or notification area or some such) when I have upcoming reminders today (or maybe today and tomorrow similar to HTC's small calendar widget). Smooth Calendar seems to be a good choice for standard Calendar app, but Calendar app itself is not ideal
* List of all reminders I have scheduled. This is something that seems to be absent from default Calendar app.
* Notification about reminders I've missed. Very desirable something that can be seen without waking up a phone (I think it is not impossible for application to blink one of the LEDs in case there's missed reminder). Definitely something that can be seem on home screen. I didn't test default Calendar app extensively in this respect, but it seems to do not display anything at all if you have missed reminder (although it seems to repeat the alarm after 5 minutes or so).
* Repeatable reminders would be nice to have, but it is probably least important item for me.
Anyone know of a simple organizer app to keep track of books that you've read? I used to have a group in my contacts called strangely "books" on my BB storm. In the notes section I could keep an unlimited amount of information. Now on my Fascinate the notes section is limited and unusable for my needs.

One of the big reasons that I am switching phones was because my Windows Mobile calendar messed up the times (shifted things an hour off) and totally messed up my entire calendar. I cannot afford to have any calendar issues, so I need a ROCK SOLID calendar that is stable, syncs well, integrates well, allows for recurring inputs, and has nice month, week, and daily views.
Most threads about calendar apps were started several months ago, so I was wondering what the latest developments and updates to these apps and widgets might have done to your evaluation of them. Personally, I would love to get in on the public beta of PI when it is finally announced. I have used Pocket Informant and Agenda Fusion on my Windows Mobile devices before. I have never used CalenGoo, but something like that would be wonderful, too.

View 2 Replies View RelatedWhile i am still learning the features and settings and there are a lot in comparison to the iPhone, i find myself stuck relative to the music organization on the S4. With the iPhone i was spoiled in having iTunes to neatly organize my music. iTunes offered a simple interface to organize my music and effeciently transfer my playlist to my iPhone. In addition, any songs downloaded on my iPhone were automatically uploaded to my iTunes in order to keep my playlist in order.
Having the S4,i struggle with this. Currently im using Doubletwist as recommended by a number of users on this forum which isnt the most efficient. In addition, i noticed when i download songs to my S4 it does not update my playlist on Doubletwist. Instead any time i need to connect my S4 to Doubletwist it updates my music based on the original playlist that was on my iTunes. Is there a standalone app/program for my PC and S4 that will allow me to organize my music? Not a interface that reads between iTunes and my S4. Does the Galaxy S4 or Android have such a program?
Just got the Google Nexus 1 after 3 years with iphone. I am looking for a desktop manager that allows me to generate intelligent playlists and transfer them, along with other music, to the Nexus. Also one that plays as many file formats as possibel. I'm on PC.
