When I plug the phone in, it begins to start flashing back and forth between green and orange. The phone also will not take a charge. USB is fine, as I can still communicate with the phone.

On my end, I'm HOT AS HELL. Today has become official the hottest day in Los Angeles on record, breaking 112 degrees in downtown LA. I had an errand to run on my lunch break, so I ventured out into the heat and, while in line at the drive thru to get lunch before heading back, I noticed the LED on my EVO slowly blinking orange, then yellow. I looked, and the phone was no longer charging, even though it was plugged in.
Looking at SystemPanel, my battery was at 118.5 degrees, and it felt a bit hot, but not too much so. Upon returning to my office, the phone is now plugged in and the LED is a solid orange. Was the alternating blinking LED telling me my phone was overheated? If so, have I damaged my phone? It seems to run fine, thankfully.
I bought a Nexus One second hand off eBay but it seems to be broken. I plug it into the wall with a battery, orange/green led. In wall without battery, orange/green led. Off wall with battery, orange/green led. How can I fix it? I have tried entering recovery mode but just isn't working. Battery has been charging all day. I have never had an android or nexus so don't really understand whether this is an abnormal behavior,

View 2 Replies View RelatedI was using satnav at the weekend; the battery level indicator on my Desire went from green to orange (20%) and the existent data connection dropped off straightaway. I was unable to re-establish a data connection even after switching the phone off and on again. I was in an area of reasonable/good network signal strength. The GPS continued to function however so I could still see my progress on the map but a data connection message appeared.
When I got home the phone continued to function on WiFi (with GPS on too) for nearly another two hours before it turned itself off, so there was plenty of "juice" left. My question is as to whether there is anything I can adjust to ensure that the battery continues to function fully (ie maintain a data connection) until it runs out? Or whether at 20% the phone is somehow set up to end a data connection? I have now got myself an HTC car charger to make sure the battery will not drop that low again when I am using satnav.
How do I do this per selected list item.I tried adding this to android:background

On my wife's droid there is either a green circle or an orange clock-like icon near my name in her contacts. Any idea what this is?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI had to remove my sim card, which means that I had to remove my battery. After doing so, I put my sim card back in, followed by the battery, and after pushing the power button, the battery indicator started flashing green and orange.
The screen isn't turning on, and absolutely nothing is happening.
I've been pouring over google trying to find a solution, but haven't found any that worked.
One suggestion suggested that I hold the power button for 10-15 seconds, then plug it into power, then add battery. This did not work.
Another suggested the opposite- hold power for 10-15 seconds, add battery, then add power cord, still no luck.
I freaking love this phone. I really, really, really want to fix it. If there are any, ANY suggestions as to what I could do to fix this, it would be greatly appreciated. I tried to call HTC for support, but, wouldn't you know it, couldn't get to a phone before EXACTLY one minute before they closed.
Your phone blinks Orange and green back and forth when its plugged in? Battery going bad? I have seidio 1750.

I disconnected the battery and the phone and allowed them to sit in bags of rice for a few days to draw out the mositure. I turned the phone back on and found the camera is no longer so the water must of wicked in through there, but what is troubling me is the orange charge light comes on as well as a red indicator light on the other side.

What if my phone was supposed to receive a text during the time I'm in recovery or fastboot mode? Will I get the text right after I boot up into a rom for the first time or will I just not get it? As you can see in the video below, it flashes every time it starts a new folder (part0 and part1) and continuously flashes when it repeats part1. It is not only this boot animation though as I have tried others and they are doing the same thing. If someone could help me with this, EDIT: I have reset to factory settings and tried again to no avail. I don't know what the problem is.

The stock wall charger that came with my Droid X is the 5PN5504A, which has an output rating of 5.1V, 850mA. My understanding is that the mini-USB interface is an industry standard for power delivery to portable devices, which I take to mean that any charge source should work (wall charger, desktop PC, laptop) as long it has uses an USB interface. So any USB-->miniUSB cable can be used to charge any mini-usb device, regardless of power source, right?
I already have several other mini-usb devices, such as bluetooth headsets, which all came with their own wall chargers. However, I checked these chargers, and they all have different outputs: 5V @ 200mA, 5V @ 150mA, 5V @ 550mA. Because the default Droid X cable was so short, I was tempted to use these other chargers. I plugged in the 5V@150mA charger to my Droid X, and found that the phone does not show it's charging (the lighting bolt isn't there, there's no animation on the battery indicator). So then I switched to the 5V@550mA charger, and it DOES charge....................
I typically have my phone sitting on my desk infront of my keyboard @ work. I noticed that once maybe every 5 minutes or so, that the screen flashes on&off once. I assume it's waking to check for data updates or something, but just seemed odd.

View 4 Replies View RelatedWhen I have listview and I use some listadapter provided by android API then when you touch item in list it flashes with orange colour and then action is processed. If I have my own adapter this flash doesn't happen. Instead text color changes to black for a moment (and becomes unreadable). Is there something special I need to do to enable it? My adapter is actually based on cursoradapter and all it does is that it adds onClick handlers to some of controls used in list item layout and sets values of some widgets which are not handled by simplecursoradapter by default.

I essentially want one of the objects that is displayed in a ListActivity, but inside a normal View. I have tried to do this by adding an OnClickListener, but what I really need is something like adding an On(Un)SelectListener. Using the onClickListener, I can change the TextView background, but obviously the background stays that color. I thought of using a new Handler().postDelayed(new Runnable(){... }) kind of thing to reset the backround after some small time, but I did not know if this would be overkill for what I'm trying to do.What would you recommend?

When I charge it with the cable that came with it, it charges fine. But if I charge it with the Moments cable, it doesn't charge. The battery icon is animated as if it's charging and Spare Parts reports that it's charging, but the battery level continues to fall as if it's not plugged in.
Anyone notice this? My EVO shoots up incredibly when plugged into a wall versus my computer. There was a difference too on my Hero but it wasn't so dramatically different that I would prefer wall to computer. The EVO seems to inch up plugged into the PC, but the wall seems to give it an injection of red bull cocaine.

This may sound like common sense, but there's more to it... Some iPhone users have noticed that the charge from their phone when charged from the mains lasts longer than the charge from the PC via USB. Some sites claim that phone batteries can be 'overcharged' by charging from the mains, and that USB charging doesn't do this. I havn't had my phone long enough to test the 'overcharging' theory, but I was wondering if anyone had any information about these different methods of charging.
