I have a listview that when scrolled and the items go off of the screen they are not redrawn when I scroll back to them (the text and checkbox). In fact, items that are off the bottom of the screen in the listview never get drawn when scrolling to them. This only happens in Froyo. Any other version it works just fine. I have checked and the data is there as expected in the adapter when the getItem method is called, it is just not visible. The listview item is there (it's occupying the same amount of screen space per item), I just cannot see the text or checkbox once scrolled off screen and back on again. Code...

View 2 Replies View RelatedTried rooting so I started off flashing r8 of bh_man's 1.6 rom. Went through the setup, odin turned blue to pass and I let the phone run past the android system and then the screen turned off.
Thing about it is that the phone is still being detected by the computer and odin. It's like my phone is on a screen lock but not responding to when I push unlock.
Ive tried every custom rom and each one does the same. I try to go back to stock and most of the time the program closes, when it doesn't I try to flash it and it goes through the process but goes on forever. One time I let the timer go on for 2 hours and it was still on 5/9 completed.
I've had my Epic for about a week and have noticed that from time to time that the screen flashes VERY briefly to the home screen/lock screen when inside an app.
It happens when I'm in the browser, email app, etc. There does not seem to be any rhyme or reason behind it.
1st time poster long time lurker. I have done a search on Google trying to find a solution or at least a reason as to why my phone is behaving this way. Search produces nothing. This week my phone started behaving strange. I will get a call, but the caller ID no longer displays. Suddenly the screen starts to flash and I have to unlock the screen in order to see who is calling. By the time the screen is unlocked the person has already hung up. I have not done anything (add new programs) in the last 2 weeks and I am not sure why this is happening.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a customized Cursor based adapter for my ListView. Each Cursor has a few columns of data, sorted by the priority column. I know you can create a disabled list item to act as a sort of header, like in the Market app (the little green labels). What I would like to do is display a header for each group of items with a different priority. They are already sorted by priority. Example data:
title, priority
note1, high
note3, high
note2, low
note4, low
Example of what I want in ListView:
= High Priority =
-note1
-note3
= Low Priority =
-note2
-note4
I think the Dialer is very powerful but I am unable to get it to recognize parts of a phone number. For example, most of my saved numbers include area codes (most of them are 'xyz'). When I type the first three of the 7-digit number (excluding the area code) no results show. It seems as though the area code must be typed in order to get results to show. Obviously, almost 95% of my contacts have an area code of 'xyz' and that's, IMO, too many buttons to press to start narrowing down to get a specific contact. Does anyone know how to change this?

View 1 Replies View RelatedWhen I have listview and I use some listadapter provided by android API then when you touch item in list it flashes with orange colour and then action is processed. If I have my own adapter this flash doesn't happen. Instead text color changes to black for a moment (and becomes unreadable). Is there something special I need to do to enable it? My adapter is actually based on cursoradapter and all it does is that it adds onClick handlers to some of controls used in list item layout and sets values of some widgets which are not handled by simplecursoradapter by default.

I essentially want one of the objects that is displayed in a ListActivity, but inside a normal View. I have tried to do this by adding an OnClickListener, but what I really need is something like adding an On(Un)SelectListener. Using the onClickListener, I can change the TextView background, but obviously the background stays that color. I thought of using a new Handler().postDelayed(new Runnable(){... }) kind of thing to reset the backround after some small time, but I did not know if this would be overkill for what I'm trying to do.What would you recommend?

As you can see in the video below, it flashes every time it starts a new folder (part0 and part1) and continuously flashes when it repeats part1. It is not only this boot animation though as I have tried others and they are doing the same thing. I'm still pretty new to Android and programming in general, and I can't seem to get the command line tools packaged with the Android SDK to work. I'm running Mac OSX and each time I try to run layoutopt, for example, the terminal returns, *-bash: cmd: command not found. Also, is it okay to have my SDK located in the Developer directory and my android project in some unrelated directory when using these tools?
