HTC Hero :: Trackball Flashes / But Not LED Notification Light?
Nov 13, 2009I think I've read somewhere that when you have a notification one of the leds at the earpiece flashes-is this correct? On my new hero the trackball flashes but the LED doesn't is this a fault?!

Apr 11, 2010I've just noticed that my notification light only blinks for almost exactly 5mins.
At first I thought it didn't always work because I would come to my phone, not see the light, take it off standby and see I have a message or email. Then I noticed it was working but just went off very quickly.
I've heard that task managers/killers can affect the alerts and I am running Astro but using it as a file manager and not a task killer (as I've discovered they're 99% unnecessary). I am also using Handcent for my SMS/MMS messages.
Is this normal for you guys? No matter what type of message I get, I only get 5mins worth of blinking.

Nov 23, 2010Screen on my Desire occasionally lights up for 1-2 seconds for no reason then goes back to standby again. Happens once or twice every couple of days (could be more often but I don't stare at it the whole time). No notifications or calls coming in. I suspect it maybe one of the apps syncing or something, but as this happens so rarely it's hard to determine which.

Sep 8, 2010One of the nice things I had with my BB was an app that allowed you to modify the length, frequency, and color of your LED light notifications for when you had missed calls, emails, etc. That way you didn't have to bring the screen alive to know if you didn't hear the audible notification. The LED on the EVO seems to be pretty short and sometimes infrequent. I seem to keep bringing the screen alive to find I have missed emails etc. but the LED wasn't flashing at all. Has anyone found a good App that does this?

Sep 21, 2010I am on my third epic and still having the same problem. My notification light worked fine when the phone was first activated and slowly stopped working altogether. I also bought my girlfriend one and the same thing happened to hers. That's four phones in three weeks. I can't be the only one that is having this issue. Anyone else? My setting for the light to pulse is checked. I have also done a factory reset.
