When I plug the HDMI cable into the phone the screen goes white the HTC logo and just freezes up. Will not unfreeze until I remove the battery and reboot the phone.

I've noticed that none of the new phones coming out have HDMI out on them anymore. I've got a Razr Maxx that I'm looking at replacing and was looking at the new Droid Maxx but I'm concerned about the lack of HDMI out. I'm a boater and have a TV on my boat. I connect my Razr Maxx to my TV with a Micro HDMI to HDMI cable and watch Netflix when I'm on the. I'd hate to give that up but also realize that my Maxx won't last forever.
Any new phones that do have HDMI out?
I searched and cannot find an answer for this: I have not been to a hotel with a TV with an HDMI input, they typically have the red/white/yellow inputs. Is there a cable that is micro HDMI on one end and the three on the other end? I realize it won't be HDMI quality, but i could at least put movies up on the TV from my phone.

Happened twice so it wasn't one of those freak occasions. Any advice?

The problem is when I connect the headphones they don't seem to be recognized at all when the HDMI cable is plugged in too. All the sounds go through the HDMI cable.

Tried to hook it up to my 37" 08' Samsung LCD HDTV, but was only getting AUDIO through to the TV, no VIDEO? I tried all three HDMI outlets on my LCD HDTV but got the same result on each one? 2. When my car is on, I need the Moment to make a Bluetooth connection with the car and send the telephone audio to the car.
3. I need to keep the audio cable plugged into the headphone jack 24/7.
It is an extremely long story, so just assume 1, 2, and 3 are true and accept that premise.
If the car is on Bluetooth is active but there is an audio cable plugged into the headphone jack, audio is sent out the cable and NOT via Bluetooth. So when the car is on, I need to trick the Moment into not realizing that there is a audio cable plugged into the headphone jack, so that it will send the audio via Bluetooth to the car.Here's my plan:
Disconnect the audio jack from the Moment.
Wire speaker audio to the audio jack.
Assume I have a PACE SMT kit and am comfortable with dealing with surface mount components.From the physical layout, is this do-able?
I just bought an X10 Mini Pro when i connected my mini pro via USB cable it freezes! i had to download PC companion via SE Support site..after downloading and installing pc companion i tried connecting my phone again via USB cable, pc companion detected my phone but when prompting the phone to mount it freezes! View 1 Replies View RelatedIve been raking my brains trying to figure out how to play 720p movies on my HDTV in 16:9 aspect ratio (or 1.78), whereas it would fill the screen of the HDTV nicely just like Niko does it in this thread Video Demo: HTC Evo playback of HD/720p movies over HDMI out. I have a couple of 720p bluray movie files on my PC that i want to encode but now im not even really sure if they are really 720p. When i upload them into handbrake, it says that the source resolution is 1280x544 and the other one 1280x528 with a 2.35 aspect ratio. Doesnt the second number have to be 720 in order to be considered true 720p HD resolution? Everytime i try and change the 528 to 720 on hanbrake, it doesnt let me. And also handbrake doesnt havent an option where you can change the aspect ratio. When i finish encoding, i get the stupid black bars. i realize the video file might have been shot in a 2.35 aspect ratio or whatever but when i play it in VLC it allows me to change it to 16:9. Basically, I want the video to come out in 1280x720, 16:9, 1.78 resolution and aspect ratio as its default settings. This would be much easier if VLC was playable on Android. At the end of the day, im just trying to find out how to watch 720p video on the HDTV in fullscreen or almost fullscreen (i know theres a couple of inches of black bars in 16:9) just like the guy in the thread above.

The first time it happened I called verizon and they fixed it over the phone, but only lasted a few days. I took it to the store and the verizon "tech" guy put advanced task killer on it which didn't help, but now my battery doesn't as before.

View 1 Replies View RelatedEverytime I have to reboot, or if my battery dies, and I charge it and all that, and I press the power button, the screen just freezes at the HTC EVO 4G screen. I have to take out the cover, and pull the battery and by the time I do this 2-3 times, it finally boots correctly. I'm using Fresh 3.3.0.1 alongside netarchy 4.1.9.1 cfs.

Seems that maybe 1 out of every 3 or so phone calls I get, especially if the phone's been relaxing in my pocket for >1hr with no use, when I receive a call, the phone freezes.
The receive call screen appears, but I can't swipe down to receive. Can't swipe up to ignore, and hitting the power button on top simply ignores the call.
Anybody else ever see this? It's been fairly constant since I got my phone a couple months ago.
Quick edit question - is there a screen I can find on the phone that shows all my recent downloads? I have ASTRO and can find stuff on the SD card alright, but tracking down files I've downloaded from my email/dropbox, etc is always tough for me.
I am root using unrevoked. I made a nandroid as soon as I rooted. I have since removed a bunch of the crap-ware and I would like to try custom roms. But I cant seem to make another nandroid backup. I have tried to do it through ROM Manager and through the volumedown+power. Both take me the the white evo screen and it just sits there. I haev been patient, but 45 minutes is long enough I think. I know y'all see this stuff all the time and it gets frustrating but I really have tried to understand and to read and to search and I haven't found a fix for this.
