View 1 RepliesI've noticed that none of the new phones coming out have HDMI out on them anymore. I've got a Razr Maxx that I'm looking at replacing and was looking at the new Droid Maxx but I'm concerned about the lack of HDMI out. I'm a boater and have a TV on my boat. I connect my Razr Maxx to my TV with a Micro HDMI to HDMI cable and watch Netflix when I'm on the. I'd hate to give that up but also realize that my Maxx won't last forever.
Any new phones that do have HDMI out?
I have a RK3188 Quad-Core Android 4.2 Mini PC. I have to use for a media signage. But screen won't rotate. I tried any software in google play. I need this because screen tv is in vertical (90 degrees).
View 1 Replies View RelatedI just received the micro HDMI and connected it to my system. I also connected a 1/8th" stereo to RCA cable because my surround sound isnt smart enough to decode the audio signal from the HDMI. I set the inputs and the first thing I see is that there is no picture. Rather, the picture is black (the no input warning goes away, and there is a black screen) and the only time I get any video is when I play a video or slideshow. But no audio as long as I am playing video.
Is there any way to output the audio through the headphone jack while the HDMI is outputting video? And is there a way to view the UI and apps through the HDMI port?
I searched and cannot find an answer for this: I have not been to a hotel with a TV with an HDMI input, they typically have the red/white/yellow inputs. Is there a cable that is micro HDMI on one end and the three on the other end? I realize it won't be HDMI quality, but i could at least put movies up on the TV from my phone.

View 9 Replies View RelatedIve been doind a lot of research trying to select THE right phone for me and one of the things Im looking for is the hability to connect the cell phone to a TV and play videos. There are some very interesting cell phones out there that dont have either av or hdmi out, but Ive been seeing a lot of USB-to-HDMI cables out there. Do these cables work on all cell phones that have USB ports? Some phones that Im considering that dont have AV or HDMI out are for instance HTC Desire HD are Samsung Vibrant.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI've been a member for a little while, but until now I've been able to just search and find answers to my questions. However, for this issue I can't seem to find anything. I bought a micro HDMI cable, and it works great when I play videos that I have recorded. However, I am not able to play movies and TV shows that I download and play with Rock Player. I've tried a bunch of file formats, and I haven't been able to play any of my own videos without Rock Player. That doesn't really matter to me as it still works fine. But, I would like to be able to plug in the HDMI cable and play a movie on a TV, but when I try, it just plays on the phone screen. So has anyone been able to play their own movies on a TV with the HDMI? Can anyone provide some input here?

View 5 Replies View RelatedI'm new to the forums, and very interested in the Evo. I was wondering about the HDMI connector type on the Evo. I did some quick searches in google and the forums here and didn't see anything definitive. ImGreen brought up the question in the official Evo thread, but I'm still working on reading through that. At the point I'm at, I didn't see a clear answer. Anyway, I came across this information, and I'm posting in hopes that it's helpful to others (perhaps in search results) and not rehash. Here's a comparison to HDMI Type-D to Micro USB.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI have a Toshiba Excite 10 LE (AT200) Tablet running ICS 4.0.3 and have it connected to my TV using a micro-HDMI adapter and an HDMI cable.
It connects fine and I can see the image, but I have no toolbar (Back, Home, Task Switch, Clock, etc). I have tried to check if my TV has any overscan settings that could adjust this and have my TV set to 'Just Scan' which sets the overscan to 0, as opposed to 16:9 mode which cuts off part of the image, but there were no settings I seemed to be able to modify on the TV which allowed for the toolbar to show up.
Likewise in the Tablet menu, I don't see anything under Settings->Display which could show the menu bar. I know it is still there since I can drag my bluetooth mouse below the bottom of the screen and hit the Home button, but I'd really like to be able to see it.
I didn't see any apps in the market that allow you to adjust HDMI out overscan settings either.
Why is it that when a new rom is ported/made usually HDMI never seems to be ported. they always write not working or just write dont ask.
