View 10 RepliesIs there a setting or app that will allow screen to stay on if plugged in?
View 10 RepliesI know this is obvious but I can' t find the setting that allows my screen to stay lit when my Inc is plugged in.
View 2 Replies View RelatedJust like it says, when I plug my phone in at night to charge, after a bit the screen no longer responds to touch inputs until I unplug it.About the only exception is a tap to engage snooze in the AM. To unlock or answer a text I have to unplug it.
View 4 Replies View RelatedThis is not a perfect solution but it does give a work around to the fact that, even though you can set the phone to not have the screen shut off when plugged in, you still have the problem of it dimming to lowest setting. Anyway, what I did to fix this was to download a program on the app store called keep screen. It gives you the option to make it so that the screen doesn't time out or dim for certain apps. What I did was just go in and select all apps and tell it to not dim on any of them.
Then on the front page of this app there is a button to "start/stop service" I use this button like a toggle. If my phone is plugged in I toggle that button and toggle it off when I unplug. It is not a perfect solution and requires manually doing the toggling but it's the best solution I have found to keep the screen and brightness up when my phone is plugged in. Anyway, just thought I would share in case anyone else was looking for a solution for this. Also, if anyone has found a better way of doing this i would love to hear it.
Have it plugged in and set for stay on while charging and set to full brightness, but it keeps dimming after a few seconds. Doesn't go off, but dims significantly until touched. I want it to do what I say, stay on whatever brightness setting I have while charging, period.
View 4 Replies View RelatedReally bothers me when I'm playing Snesoid and the keys keep going dark if I'm going through text or reading menus or something. Any way to get the keyboard illumination to stay on?
View 6 Replies View RelatedThe new DX and I love it. It's fast and great. I'm a heavy user so I'd like to conserve as much battery as possible. Is it possible to have the screen not light up when I get an SMS or a call?I'd like my phone to just ring without lighting up because I get tons of SMS for my work.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI just discovered this issue - it may be only relevant to 2.1 since I upgraded (or to something else entirely) but when my Eris is plugged in and I use it the Home Screen seems to act crazy - well not that crazy - just that with motion the Homes Screens roll "left( that is to the left most screen) almost like I am using the track ball (but only in one direction) - unplug it and it works fine - its not a major issue but a wierd one - anyone else notice this behavior.
View 11 Replies View RelatedI'm having a problem with my Driod Eris. It's moving on its own, if I unlock the screen it starts to move to the left and stays there. I try to scroll over it moves back I press the home button and it does the same thing. I've tried powering down taking the battery put nothing seem to work.
View 6 Replies View RelatedMy droid has been plugged in all night, today i had to take a trip to city, so I unplugged my droid and plugged it back into the cig lighter (verizon plug, not after market) and started up Trappist. Battery was full when I started, when I got to my destination an hour later the battery was at 50%. Why is it discharging if its plugged in?
View 27 Replies View RelatedI came in to work...plugged in my X (USB) and the battery drained to 15% in 3 hours. What is that about?
View 8 Replies View RelatedSo I've noticed since I've gotten my phone that even when its plugged in (100 percent battery to start) if I use navigation for 45 min or so the battery will drain to around 80 percent. I don't understand how its doing this if its plugged in and the battery has the charging icon on there.
View 9 Replies View RelatedAny time I have the phone plugged in or on a docking station, the touch screen seems to go pyscho. It never seems to select the icon I want, or randomly switches screen when I touch the screen briefly or doesn't do anything at all.
Would this fall under something I should take in and deal with on warranty or is this a common thing amongst them all. I am finally just getting tired of it.
I have a Droid X and so does my GF. Both of us have obviously been adding apps, trying to figure things out, etc. quite a bit. She plugged hers in last night to charge and it turned off. We thought maybe because it was so warm from messing with it. Well, today it's turned off twice for no reason at all. Anyone else have this problem or have a recommendation? Everything seems ok on hers when we compare our two. Mine has yet to do this once?
View 11 Replies View RelatedMy phone recently has stopped charging when plugged into my laptop. I have tried 3 different USB cables so i know that's not the issue. Also when I plug it in the screen lights up so I know there is some sort of connection going on, it just does not charge.
View 6 Replies View RelatedI was trying to update boot image, and no dice. Everything was nandroided and I re updated 0.7 BB 2.1 for cleanliness. Everything is peachy when on battery, not on USB. EVEN after cleaning cache and all that, reboot loop. I didn't nandroid this issue, I know that.
View 3 Replies View RelatedEvery morning I listen to RadioTime on my way to work and it is constantly losing it's connection and then buffering for a while to reconnect. I can't figure out the problem because when it shuts off, all it takes to get it up and running again is to hit pause and then play. Judging from that I don't think it's an issue with where I'm at not having a 3G connection. If anyone knows a fix for this it would be much appreciated.I apologize if I didn't explain this very well, if you have any questions feel free to ask.
View 12 Replies View RelatedI know its not hard to stay pumped, but are you making any plans, listening to any music, watching any videos that remind you of the X and all its glory?Uber old, but still funny to listen to when thinking about the X
View 28 Replies View RelatedHow come my maps keep turning on? I turn it off and it keeps turning back on. I have everything set to off.
View 9 Replies View RelatedMy wifi would not stay working, i just went in and changed the security from
WPA-PSK [TKIP]
To
WPA2-PSK [AES]
Seems good so far.I have the firewall active and Nat secured if that helps anyone. Its been working for 3days now.seems the droid(or android) has an Algorithm issues that needs to be addressed. Hopefully it will be fixed in 2.1
I flashed my phone to 2.0.1 b/c I thought I had to do that. Turns out I didn't, but there is outdated and updated information out there and I was misled. Anyway, 2.0.1 installed fine and it booted up, though my phone wasn't activated. Anyway, then I realized I needed SPRecovery, so I installed the sbf for that using RSD Lite. It installed successfully as far as i can tell? But it did a reboot, and now it's just stuck on the white-background Moto logo while plugged into my USB. RSD Lite says "Please manually power up this phone."
View 4 Replies View RelatedAnyone know a way (or an app) that will change the brightness depending on whether the phone is plugged in or not. I would like it to on full brightness all the time when the USB is plugged in, but use auto-brightness when running on battery.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have stock 2.2 D1 and just this morning my phone will stay on for about 5 minutes then freeze up and restart. Stay on for 5 minutes then restart again. Battery is full...when the screen goes into standby is when it seems to have problems. Just started happening around 10:00am today. Anyone else having issues?
View 9 Replies View RelatedI charge my phone right next to the bed. This silly thing won't turn off. I hit power then select power off and 10 seconds later the phone turns back on!
View 5 Replies View RelatedGoing from cyanogen 5.0.8 to cm6 rc2. I cannot get market to stay open and contacts won't let me import from SD. Is there a fix for this? I'm trying not to have to lose all my data by wiping. It seems stable enough except the market / contacts issue. Tried fixing permissions, didn't help. Wondering if I need to get a updated contact - market. No idea. I've already got a backup of a wiped upgrade but was hoping this would work as my SMS data disappears with a wipe not to mention the rest of my data. Leaving the data is working more stable than when I wiped and tried that, except market / contacts. Wiping I'm getting fcs and battery pulls.
View 1 Replies View RelatedIs there a way to just root the droid and keep the stock ROM? I used easy root back on 2.1 and like having root access. Also, would I be able to unroot?
View 9 Replies View RelatedWanted to know how many people were going to go back to stock for 2.2 vs staying rooted.

View 6 Replies View RelatedI've been happy with my Seidio case so far, but this is the second top that I have had that won't stay on after a couple of months. I am three weeks out of warranty now and they refused to replace the top. I like my case, but I will never buy a Seidio again. What good is a case if the top doesn't stay on after 4 months? I hope the otterbox case i try next will be better.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI get my gmail on my Droid, but I also like to keep the messages on my home computer too. Sometimes the messages I get on my phone also come to my computer after I check them on the phone, and others do not. Is there a way to make sure they are not deleted from the gmail server after they are received on the phone so I can also get them at home? It is odd that sometimes they come through but not always.
