Don't know if anyone else is having this problem but I just tried the HDMI feature out today and it froze my phone completely (couldn't lock the screen or use the screen at all), had to remove the battery. Happened twice so it wasn't one of those freak occasions. Any advice?

When I plug the HDMI cable into the phone the screen goes white the HTC logo and just freezes up. Will not unfreeze until I remove the battery and reboot the phone.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI've noticed that none of the new phones coming out have HDMI out on them anymore. I've got a Razr Maxx that I'm looking at replacing and was looking at the new Droid Maxx but I'm concerned about the lack of HDMI out. I'm a boater and have a TV on my boat. I connect my Razr Maxx to my TV with a Micro HDMI to HDMI cable and watch Netflix when I'm on the. I'd hate to give that up but also realize that my Maxx won't last forever.
Any new phones that do have HDMI out?
Some days ago I created a thread asking about random freezes/restarts.Well, Google Play is now freezing every time I try to check for an app, I've also realized the cache thingy only works for a while, I went on a trip, now that Im back the tablet freezes again and all.Should I just cache wipe everytime this happens, or just once? Is it safe to cache wipe really often?

Is there a specific reason mobile behaves this way? (Motorola Droid is not even able to mute the phone) however all other mobiles are able to do it. This runs in a loop for 20 times

This is my Second Fascinate I returned my first one so that I could get the free one from best buy. This one is much faster than my first one, but it seems to freeze up once a day while using it . Anyone else having this issue?
View 2 Replies View RelatedSo I just flashed the FlyX ROM and when I reboot my phone it goes into Clockwork Recovery which is fine...I select reboot phone and then after about 45 seconds of everything booting and setting up it freezes...can't do anything but a battery pull. Should I select backup and restore in CWRecovery and do the restore? Will that save my ass or am I going to have to SBF it...I really DON'T want to SBF it but if I have to I guess I will have to set it all up...
View 2 Replies View RelatedI don't think I've seen this addressed elsewhere, but I could have missed it, and I apologize if I did. My phone is stock, has an 8 GB SD card installed, and very few apps beyond those installed by Verizon. I can include a list if requested. The phone works fine and all the apps I use regularly work fine. The only exception I have is that occasionally I will be talking to someone and I hear a descending 4 tone deet- da-la-deet.. and my call is gone, my screen is black and I can't get it to respond. If I slide out the keyboard, the buttons light up, but nothing else happens. I have to pull the battery to get it to work again. I can confirm I have the 50% bug and have tried all the suggestions which don't seem to do much. Also, someone else mentioned the problem of when I place a call, the screen goes blank and does not wake back up unless I slide out the keyboard. I have firmware version 2.1-update1, Kernel version 2.6.29 lge@android-build #2, Build number ERE27 and SW Version VS740ZVB. Does anyone know how to fix this bug short of taking it back to Verizon or living with it? Would any of the custom ROMs you have on here help? I have absolutely no clue about rooting and updating the ROM and don't want to complicate things further if it's not going to resolve anything.

I'm getting a weird "soft reboot." That's the only way I can explain it. My phone freezes, and then reboots. The weird thing is that in the about phone it will have a continuous up-time. For example it would say up-time: 4h 36m when it froze and rebooted 5 minutes ago.
The other weird thing is that at 1.1Ghz, I can do a 20 minute stress test with zero problems. But a couple minutes later while unlocking my phone or texting it reboots.
It isn't just this ROM or just being overclocked either. I've always had this problem with 2.2. I turned off overclocking, and I've been going strong for about 10 minutes but I doubt it will last.
Did the stock voltages change between 2.1 and 2.2? Is it possible that my phone just sucks and can't handle the new voltages?
My phone freezes 2/3 times a day. The remedy is to take the battery out and reboot. This usually happens when I'm using the camera, or trying to view saved photos, or gallery.Does anyone else has the same thing? What's the best way to over come this?
View 11 Replies View RelatedMy droid seems to freeze sporadically. the phone will ring twice, but will not pop on screen for me to pick it up until after the second ring. It also takes a minute for the screen to pop back up for me to press the "call end" button.
Sometimes it freezes when I attempt to unlock lock it.
I'm running firmware 2.1.
So I was writing a text message today and the phone just went blank. Came back up in a couple of minutes. Weird. I'm starting to wonder why. Any suggestions as to why?

Is there a cable that is micro HDMI on one end and the three on the other end? I realize it won't be HDMI quality, but i could at least put movies up on the TV from my phone.

I have had shoddy internet lately in places that I should not. So I try to update my prl and profile and it just sits there saying "updating." When i cancel out, the phone moves super slow until I do a battery pull.I also can not enable 4g because it makes my EVO run super slow basically horrible.This is with 2.2.

View 7 Replies View RelatedMy captivate seems to keep freezing when doing things, most notably when I goto my downloads on the market, using Zedge to download a new wallpaper or using juiceplotter and just opening it, I get a black screen and it sits for a period of time approx a min or two...anyone else having these types of issues. I did do a factor reset this morning and also installed adw.launcher, but it still does it when using those programs and some others just can't remember which ones right off hand. thanks!!
View 1 Replies View RelatedLately when I open a contact the phone freezes up as soon as it gets to the screen where it lists all my options for that particular contact (call, text, etc...). It makes no difference whether I search for the contact in the Google bar (which I enabled), if I open them from my "Starred Contacts" folder, or if I open them directly from the contacts list... no difference.
It doesn't happen every time but i'd say it's about 70% of the time, which is very frustrating. The phone locks up for probably about ten to fifteen seconds and then asks if I want to F/C or wait, if I click wait then everything is back to normal and i'm good to go.
Now since yesterday I have installed Beautiful Widgets (which I have heard nothing but good things about), Home++ and Better Keyboard. All of those apps seem to be reliable and not only that but i've actually gone through and removed all apps I didn't really need just to see if possibly one of them was causing the problem.
I don't know if anyone else had these problem before.. But i was on my phone talking to my GF.. For about 15 min.. And all of a sudden my phone freezes and restarts.Then a black screen shows up after the android boot comes up .. and says " No Service" in white letters.Then my phone restarts again and its working fine.. But anyone else had the same problem.Its the first time..

Almost every 24 hours when receiving a call the phone crashes (freezes) and it doesn't respond to any button (or combination). The only thing i can do is to remove the battery and insert it again. View 3 Replies View RelatedJust this night I've been using my sdcard in a normal way, browsing internet, downloading files when suddenly my phone couldn't boot after flashing bootanimation (zip made by trusted developer so that's not the problem). Now when I connect my SD Card to the phone it will either say "preparing sdcard" forever or just simply freeze phone after few seconds. I tryed to connect it via working adapter with my PC to back it up... After copying few files sdcards unmounts from the reader... I've tryed on XP and it shows some command errors while trying to copy files in a regular way. I was ONCE able to flash few zips via recovery in order to make my phone boot up again it worked. Now I'm scanning my SD Card using Norton Internet security 2013 - Paid version - not cracked, and the sdcard seems to stay mounted to the PC. Unfortunately after trying to copy files from SD Card to PC it just freezes explorer.exe and unmounts itself...

PS. 2 I was using swap partition, maybe my sdcard went dead from constant reads and writes?
PS. 3 Using linux I managed to copy 81 MB... then any copying froze but ubuntu didn't...
