In the last day or so Gmail has intermittently stopped pushing to my EVO. I can hit refresh and the mail appears. All settings are correct, background data, auto-sync and the Gmail account are all checked.

Over the last few days, my Gmail has stopped syncing several times intermittently, with even a manual refresh having no effect. Coincidentally or otherwise, downloads from the Market have been taking absolutely ages to start over roughly the same period. Not sure whether this is connected, but these symptoms started at about the same time that I started getting "Low on space" warnings on status bar - though I still have about 13MB spare - surely enough to sync a few emails and complete small market downloads? Rebooting the phone seems to get Gmail working again, and kicks pending downloads from the market into life as well. Which would seem to indicate that memory is not the issue. This is a stock Desire, with the recent OTA firmware update. I am now also wondering whether this may be linked to that OTA update?

View 9 Replies View RelatedTitle says it all. I do not pay the extra corporate email fee but I have never had problems with emails pushing to my phone. I've checked all the settings, rebooted the phone, pulled the battery.
Before going through the circus of asking someone in IT at my office if there is a problem I figured I would ask for suggestions here.
Settings are:
Download Frequency: As they arrive
Include File Attachment: Never
Mail Size Limit: Entire email
Not the default Account
So My evo has been running pretty damn good. Then this evening I realized that I have not received any e-mails pushed to my gmail app on my phone. So I just figured nobody e-mailed me today, which is weird. So I just went to my gmail account on my laptop and I have 14 unread e-mails that were sent to my gmail account today. So I went to my gmail app on my phone and clicked refresh and the e-mails did not show up on my phone. Its like its not even recognizing my gmail. Any help. I powered down and turned it back up and still nothing. Usually powering down then back up helps little issues like this. what gives.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI've noticed that when I'm not on wifi, my gmail is no longer pushing to my phone, but will delivery whenever I wake the phone up. I never had this problem before with gmail even with "Always On Mobile Data" disabled, but now it seems like the as soon as the 3G radio goes to sleep, I don't get anything until it wakes back up. Any one else having this problem with the latest version of the gmail.app?

Data enabled is on
All my accounts are synced
Notification is on.
I did a reboot just to see and it still didnt fix. is there anyway to fix this?
Has anyone else experienced this since MR2? I would receive alerts to new gmails instantly before MR2, and now I'm lucky if I even get them at all without going into the app and hitting refresh. I checked all my settings and it does appear to be set to automatically sync.

View 15 Replies View RelatedThis is driving me nuts because I had the hero and swapped it out to the Moment and it did the same thing. I am using the Gmail app and whenever I get new mail I have to go into the ALL MAIL label to see it even though the mail has a Inbox tag on it. By doing this I don't get any notifications of new mail and must check it manually. I've tried clearing out Gmail app and Gmail storage but it will only sync once and stop again. So anyone having the same problem? Gmail not pushing mail into the in-box? I posted on Google help forums but so far people only told me to clear data of the applications.

I tried:
- clear cache & dalvik
- clear settings
- remove app preferences
- uninstall (TB) and download from play store again
- remove account and setting account again
Attachements are correctly downloaded.it crashes just after download.
I've had no problems with push email from gmail to my Desire since I had it - about 2 months ago.
Today though it's not popping up notifications.
I've tried clearing the gmail cache but still the same.

Gmail app stopped working and syncing today. if i manually press the refresh button it crashes and the message that gives me is "The process com.google.process.gapps has stopped unexpectedly. Of course this happens when I'm away from home with no access to my gmail account other than my hero. When I go to my gmail webpage and settings on my hero, I noticed that there wasn't the option to manually fetch mail. Then I remembered that you had to change the gmail address to http instead of https due to some security issue they had. But when I try to do this via Dolphin on the hero, I can't seem to find a way to change the web address to http.

I have two Gmail accounts and one school email app. All of the settings are set to check every 5 minutes. All three email accounts have been syncing fine for the first two days that I have had the phone, but all of a sudden the two Gmail accounts have stopped autosyncing. However, none of the settings have changed. My school email receives all my emails every 5 minutes, but my two Gmail accounts will only get the email once I enter the accounts and do a manual sync. Both of my Gmail accounts are set to IMAP and they are all on the right settings.
View 7 Replies View Relatedjust joined up and looking for an answer to an issue I'm currently experiencing with my HTC ONE X. Phone has been fine, now suddenly the phone will not wake up. Everything works fine when initially turned on- can put it to sleep, wake it up with no problems (so the button is working fine) but if I leave the phone for 5-10 mins then try to wake it up I get nothing. So currently am having to constantly have it so the screen never goes off which is hardly ideal (especially on this phone considering the battery isn't the best to start with...!)
Phone is not rooted and on Vodafone UK. Running 4.1.1
Anyone else have this problem with the HTC Droid Incredible on Android 2.1 rebooting itself intermittently? In the last 2 weeks, it has rebooted it self about 5 times that I know of. NO, I am not rooted. No, I have not seen any update notifications.

This is Android 1.5 SDK. I happen to call several times below code(which is in a method) with
the same url and it fails intermittently. When it fails, there is no exception, the stream is empty so the
readConnection fails, and getResponseCode returns -1. Global caching is disabled, setDefaultUseCaches(false);
I suppose there must be some kind of url connection object pool somewhere.
How can I workaround this?
