Anyone else experience issues with gmail not importing their hotmail anymore? This has been going on since last night. Also the setting to "add an account you already own" under the accounts tab in gmail settings has disappeared.

On my Droid X I can add my hotmail account just fine but it starts importing all of my emails saying they're all new. It acts like as if because all of the emails are new to it then it thinks they're new and labels them new so if I have 100 emails that are in my hotmail account none of which are new. I get 100 notifications on my phone as it imports the emails in saying "new" email.

View 4 Replies View RelatedHotmail was setup on the phone and working fine. All of a sudden it keeps saying the username and password is incorrect when trying to verify settings. The username and password is correct. Cannot get to Hotmail using phone browser either, I just get a white screen.
I deleted the mail account and re-creatd it but it made no difference. I backed-up the phone contents, ran a repair, and restored the contents again and still no difference. Is it a known X8 issue or has something changed on the hotmail service?
I am doing an Android application and I want to get the last 25 sent mails from a certain email account.For Gmail I might use http://g4j.sourceforge.net/ and there is Mail Web Service API for Yahoo at http://developer.yahoo.com/mail/.But I couldn't find something to do it with Hotmail.Do you know if it is possible?Also I am worried of having so many dependencies. I don't know if I should do something like https://sourceforge.net/projects/mrpostman/ and do web scraping.

I've had Hotmail for over 10 years and do not want to convert over to GMail as my primary address.Get new email, delete from PC, still on phone (as long as it was received to the phone before PC deletion)Get new email, don't delete, shows up on phone and PC.Is there anyway to link up Hotmail to work like GMail? If I delete something from one device, I don't want to see it in my inbox next time I log into the other. Did I set something up wrong?

View 3 Replies View RelatedI was frustrated with our droids ability to use multiple pop3 email accounts at once. Sometime my emails would arrive hours after they were sent, which in business is unacceptable. Multiple pop3 accounts and gmail through activesync worked so smooth on my windows mobile Omnia i910. I am now trying to use mail fetcher integrated in gmail. I like it ok, and it's polling interval is getting shorter all the time (since google automatically calculates how often it should do it). I setup the pop3 accounts to get Labeled as the email account they come in on and auto Archive. I Archive the mail because I do not like a common inbox. Call me old school or whatever but I like to keep my buisness and pleasure separated. Here is my question:
My real question is now on my phone how can I automatically tell when a new email arrives from one of those other accounts (since it auto archives under it's label and hence doesn't show up in my inbox). If I can get this working my phone will be everything I always wanted.
Long time Hotmail user. Live Mail works great on Windows mobile of course. I know I can set up the Eris to poll foor hotmail but I have a question.Will email run smoother if I just forward my hotmail account to my Gmail? And if I set up my gmail through the internet UI to "Reply As" my hotmail account, will it also set that as my reply as when I reply via my Eris?

I have a hotmail programme and a gmail one. Am i able to amalgamate them into one programme. They also do not seem to get email unless i manually refresh. I have gone into settings but it seems to be ok in there regarding when and how often i want it updated.

I did not make any changes to the settings and checked them to make sure everything was normal. If I go into gmail and click refresh I get a notification with all the new emails. It used to be instant, as soon as a new email came I would get a notifcation. Now they dont come at all... anyone know whats going on?

View 4 Replies View RelatedRecently got issue with Gmail, that whenever I try to download an attachment, when the download is finished I get :
"Unfortunately , Gmail has stoped"
I tried:
- clear cache & dalvik
- clear settings
- remove app preferences
- uninstall (TB) and download from play store again
- remove account and setting account again
Attachements are correctly downloaded.it crashes just after download.
I've had no problems with push email from gmail to my Desire since I had it - about 2 months ago.
Today though it's not popping up notifications.
I've tried clearing the gmail cache but still the same.
Does anyone know if it's my device or google issue?
Not sure why but yesterday, my gmail stopped pushing through. If I hit refresh it will come through. Any ideas as to why this has happened?

Please try again" and i press force close button cause thats is my only option. Anybody has the same problem?
View 2 Replies View Relatedafter going quite some time without any gmail issues, it's back again. My gmail account has suddenly stopped fetching my emails. Of course this happens when I'm away from home with no access to my gmail account other than my hero. When I go to my gmail webpage and settings on my hero, I noticed that there wasn't the option to manually fetch mail. Then I remembered that you had to change the gmail address to http instead of https due to some security issue they had. But when I try to do this via Dolphin on the hero, I can't seem to find a way to change the web address to http.
View 3 Replies View RelatedOver the last few days, my Gmail has stopped syncing several times intermittently, with even a manual refresh having no effect. Coincidentally or otherwise, downloads from the Market have been taking absolutely ages to start over roughly the same period. Not sure whether this is connected, but these symptoms started at about the same time that I started getting "Low on space" warnings on status bar - though I still have about 13MB spare - surely enough to sync a few emails and complete small market downloads? Rebooting the phone seems to get Gmail working again, and kicks pending downloads from the market into life as well. Which would seem to indicate that memory is not the issue. This is a stock Desire, with the recent OTA firmware update. I am now also wondering whether this may be linked to that OTA update?

I have two Gmail accounts and one school email app. All of the settings are set to check every 5 minutes. All three email accounts have been syncing fine for the first two days that I have had the phone, but all of a sudden the two Gmail accounts have stopped autosyncing. However, none of the settings have changed. My school email receives all my emails every 5 minutes, but my two Gmail accounts will only get the email once I enter the accounts and do a manual sync. Both of my Gmail accounts are set to IMAP and they are all on the right settings.

The exception is the inability to easily, quickly import the 550+ Memos I've authored over the years. Plenty of apps will import one huge memo, but none will import a csv file of ALL the memos. This includes OI Note. Does anyone have any experience successfully importing such a large number of memos without having to extensively edit? Or ideally, edit at all?
