HTC EVO 4G :: Gmail Account Not Pushing To My Evo

So My evo has been running pretty damn good. Then this evening I realized that I have not received any e-mails pushed to my gmail app on my phone. So I just figured nobody e-mailed me today, which is weird. So I just went to my gmail account on my laptop and I have 14 unread e-mails that were sent to my gmail account today. So I went to my gmail app on my phone and clicked refresh and the e-mails did not show up on my phone. Its like its not even recognizing my gmail. Any help. I powered down and turned it back up and still nothing. Usually powering down then back up helps little issues like this. what gives.

just got my first android device today (the droid) and I wanted to ask you guys, does the gmail app receive emailes via push? I've sent a coupl of emails to my device, and they wont pop up in the gmail app unless i refresh it.

I've noticed that when I'm not on wifi, my gmail is no longer pushing to my phone, but will delivery whenever I wake the phone up. I never had this problem before with gmail even with "Always On Mobile Data" disabled, but now it seems like the as soon as the 3G radio goes to sleep, I don't get anything until it wakes back up. Any one else having this problem with the latest version of the gmail.app?

In the last day or so Gmail has intermittently stopped pushing to my EVO. I can hit refresh and the mail appears. All settings are correct, background data, auto-sync and the Gmail account are all checked.

I haven't messed with my settings on my phone about data delivery. Somehow my gmail wont push my mail through, i have to manually refresh it.
Background data is on
Data Roaming is off
Data enabled is on
All my accounts are synced
Notification is on.
I did a reboot just to see and it still didnt fix. is there anyway to fix this?

Has anyone else experienced this since MR2? I would receive alerts to new gmails instantly before MR2, and now I'm lucky if I even get them at all without going into the app and hitting refresh. I checked all my settings and it does appear to be set to automatically sync.

Well this happened once before shortly after MR2, but it was short-lived, now, once again, no many how many times I soft-reset, check my settings, manually retrieve, whatever, my gmail does not appear to push.

After 5 days of perfection, my gmail won't push anymore. Everything is set to sync so, I turned off sync, turned it on again, then it pushes, but won't after that. (it's been 24 hrs now)

This is driving me nuts because I had the hero and swapped it out to the Moment and it did the same thing. I am using the Gmail app and whenever I get new mail I have to go into the ALL MAIL label to see it even though the mail has a Inbox tag on it. By doing this I don't get any notifications of new mail and must check it manually. I've tried clearing out Gmail app and Gmail storage but it will only sync once and stop again. So anyone having the same problem? Gmail not pushing mail into the in-box? I posted on Google help forums but so far people only told me to clear data of the applications.

Has anyone noticed their gmail not really PUSHING anymore? I think it's happened since the required update Verizon sent out this morning. I have to hit Refresh to get the new stuff to dump. Anyone else have this problem and/or know what's up?

Droid X - Configured with a Google Apps Premiere, working great. Attempting to add a personal GMail account. Go to the GMail app, select add account, fill in the metrics and then...... "Needs to communicate" message for ~ 3 minutes, then bombs out with - "Can't establish a reliable data connection to the server". 3G is fine, on a wifi connection that is fine, web browser works fine..... Google Apps account works fine.

Is it possible to use a google account for features such as google contacts and latitude? I know this is not possible for Android market, but would it be possible for other google products? I saw it is possible on this Android 2.0 review: Android 2.0 Review: Almost Human Did they remove this feature from the 2.1 that Hero uses, or can't I just find it?

i'm trying to add a 2nd gmail account through the gmail app. it goes through the entire process, goes to the sync page and allows me to select what i wish to sync up then gives me a confirmation that the account has been added but when i go to the gmail app and check accounts it still only lists the 1 original account. i've tried powering the phone off and restarting - also added the account via HTC email app and deleted the 2nd account via HTC email app just in case it was conflicting there

i'm new here and just recently deleted my gmail account from my computer and it was the same one that was associated with my HTC Hero and now i can't go into the android market because of it. My phone has been disconnected since i havent been able to pay the bill but i'm still able to browse the internet and play games that i had downloaded from the market that require internet using the wifi connection. I created a new gmail account on my computer and i have tried to the add account on my phone using but every time is says connecting i get an error saying that they we'rent able to establish a connection to the server. Any ideas on what to do?

Yesterday I bought my LG Eve (by Rogers), and I made the mistake of subscribing the account that I don't use very much to the Gmail app that comes with the phone (and therefore, to all google apps in the phone). Does anyone know how can I change it?

I understand that I am supposed to do a 'factory reset' to then be able to use a different GMail account. I was wanting to know, what I would lose if I do a factory reset? Would I lose my apps? pictures? Contacts?
I am quite happy to shift my pictures/vids onto my SD Card, I am more concerned about losing all my apps and contacts

In the store I was asked if I had a GMail account, I thought I did, but wasn't sure so I created a new one. Well it turns out that I DID have an existing gmail account and want to use that one (the email address is the same as my yahoo prefix and it would be an easier transition for everyone). How do I now link my Droid phone to my pre-existing gmail? Do I have to reset it to factory settings and then start fresh?

I just received my Nexus One - will be hooking it up with TMobile tonight. I have an apps account that is my primary everything. I also have a gmail account that just forwards all email to apps. But my picasa and googleTalk are on the gmail account. I don't know what account to make my primary and am looking for some guidance. Is it easy to switch back and forth? I prefer my apps account for contacts etc but I think I will like the googletalk and other aspects of a vanilla gmail account.

I have 6 gmail accounts set up in the Gmail app. Never had a problem adding accounts until now. When I try to add another account, it seems to try setting up the account, and then returns the following error: "Can't establish a reliable data connection to the server." I have tried multiple times and always get the same error. Data is always turned on and I have a good signal.

I think I registered my Gmail account twice now, once I turned the phone activated and the other time when I entered in email accounts. how to delete it from the general mail tab (where I have my hotmail accounts) and just leave the general GMAIL tab alone (the one you automatically do when you register the phone)?

I have about 300-odd contacts on my Gmail account - most, if not all, have no telephone number information on them, but I am guessing they still get copied over to the phone? Such that I will have a contact card on the phone that has no number, just an email? I don't email that much from my phone, so it seems pointless having most of these "email only" contacts on my phone. Secondly, a number of these contacts are named by email address i.e. some contact names appear as "doug1986" simply because Gmail has taken it from the email address doug1986@whatever.com. I really rather not have these synced across tot he mobile as they are old addresses (which I still dont want to delete).
