Sep 26, 2010Rooted Eris Froyo v34. I'd like to email books to my phone via gmail. Is there a way for attachments (epub files) to get into the right folder on the SD card?

Motorola Droid :: Aldiko - Books In EPUB Format
Dec 27, 2009I downloaded Aldiko and I'd like to purchase some books for it. I've seen some sites that sell in the epub format but they are a bit on the expensive side. I like the prices that Amazon and Barnes & Noble offer for their ebooks but I think they are in a proprietary format. I guess my question is, where is a good place to purchase epub books at a reasonable price?

Jun 12, 2010I downloaded Laputa eBook reader a while back, and have already downloaded about a dozen books through it. Now the update for Laputa has come through I reads my library as empty, and there is no way to manually add the books already on my SD card. And failing that, anyone know of a good reader that actually works?

Oct 21, 2010There are many books in the Android Market that I'd like to buy for my Aldiko reader, but I need to know that there's a good way to back them up. I used my ES File Manager to look for the books but there is no ebook folder or aldiko folder. These are drm-free books.

Oct 12, 2010I have the motorola devour and the latest aldiko, i have imported one book before, and today i tried importing a few, both multiple at a time and one at a time and i could not get it to "find" any of the books, they were all converted to epub via calibre, and all placed in the import folder(in ebook) anyone know any solutions?

Jan 27, 2014I have a problem on my Asus ME301T tablet with the Play Books app (I'm running android 4.2). Regular text based books work just fine, however, comic books show as blank pages. Sometimes it will load a few pages if I rotate the screen a few times.
I've tried to reinstall the app and redownload the comics without luck. It works fine on my Samsung i9000 running android 4.3.

Jan 4, 2010I am a converted BB user. One of the features i cant seem to find that i liked on the BB is the select all/previous and mark as read function. I have tried pressing keys on the keyboard (if only there was a ctrl+A function) and looking under every menu i can find. Does anyone have any idea as to how i could do this?

Jan 27, 2010When i get an email (gmail) and I attempt to download the rest of the message, it gives me an error and tells me that there's not enough space and instructs me to delete messages. After deleting almost all messages, i still get the same error.
Do the messages get stored on my card or device? SHould i delete my podcasts that rest on my card?

May 8, 2010Is there a good way for me to use my Droid to read books? I presently use an IPOD touch and the kindle reader app but I was thinking on selling it. Do any of you use the Droid as a book reader? If so what app do you use and where do you order books that can be used with that apps reader?
Also I know you can play videos on the Droid. If I wanted to put my own ripped movies on the Droid can I do that? Does the droid recognize XVID or Mpeg? What movie player would I need to use? I have a whole bunch of tv dvd's that I want to rip and watch on the train.
HTC Droid Eris :: Need Two Email Accounts On Eris?
Jan 1, 2010I currently have a BB Storm1, but am thinking of getting the Eris today. I use my BB for both business and pleasure, and would need to have at least 2 email accounts on the phone. Is this a possibility (I assume it is, but I just need some confirmation). Also, does anyone have any pros/cons that I should know about the Eris? I really hate my my storm at this point, and think I am ready to leave BB entirely. Would love some thoughts.

Jan 25, 2010First time post here. I did a quick search with "overdrive" and it yielded no relevant results that I could see so I thought I would venture a post on this app.So far I'm finding that when I hit the download button at the library I'm logged into it is recognizing the download key but nothing is getting downloaded. I'm speculating that the library does not not have the tech stuff in place to download to the Droid but that's just it.I have contacted Overdrive with the issue and they replied and asked what browser I was using. I thought Droids only come with one browser. I told them I am using the default Droid browser.Any others having issues? I realize Overdrive is a new deal to Android but this could be a great app. Most of what we (wife and I) listen to is checked out or rented so this option is a great value for us.

Oct 9, 2010Before I upgraded to 2.2 I had to find a lot of memory space on my phone. I deleted and number of applications including Aldiko. I had only two books on that; just started using it. One I was reading, a download from Project Gutenberg, and the other, an epub, book was next in line. However when I reinstalled Aldiko, after the upgrade, the book I was reading is there but the epub book is not. The epub book is on /sd card/Import but when I ask Aldiko to import it says nothing found. How can I get Aldiko to import my book?

Mar 30, 2010I used to get notifications just fine for received emails in my Mail app (which I use for gmail). I didn't change any settings, but now it no longer notifies me when I get a new email unless I actually go into the app so it downloads. I'm totally perplexed!
