i am new here. I have a few questions about the Aldiko App. I just downloaded this app. 1) All all the books you download free? 2) Do you get the Entire book? 3) Are new books available on this app?. If so are they free?

Before I upgraded to 2.2 I had to find a lot of memory space on my phone. I deleted and number of applications including Aldiko. I had only two books on that; just started using it. One I was reading, a download from Project Gutenberg, and the other, an epub, book was next in line. However when I reinstalled Aldiko, after the upgrade, the book I was reading is there but the epub book is not. The epub book is on /sd card/Import but when I ask Aldiko to import it says nothing found. How can I get Aldiko to import my book?

I like the prices that Amazon and Barnes & Noble offer for their ebooks but I think they are in a proprietary format. I guess my question is, where is a good place to purchase epub books at a reasonable price?

Mine heads in the right direction for about 270 degrees (rotating the phone) and the other 90 it is off by about 30 degrees. Leads to some hilarious yet awkward messages. Example: my friend asked me if I knew so and so. My reply was supposed to be yeah but it came out trash. View 13 Replies View RelatedI just switched from the HTC eris to the Droid and had no issues with IMAP on the eris which is running 1.5 OS. What's happening is I setup my personal domain email as imap and all works. I mark all messages in the inbox as read. When new email comes in it marks the entire inbox as new. I've deleted the account multiple times and done a hard reset. I even tested this in the store on 2 phones.
Moto doesn't have an answer and I found this thread on the VZ forums Droid IMAP emails always Unread - Verizon | Forums and Blogs - Verizon Community which the OP is using the same hosting company as I am. I've never had a problem on a WinMo, BB or iPhone setting it up the same way. Something seems off but not sure what it is. I've setup GMail via the same mail app and that's working.
I'm developing an application on a hardware device that has a built-in hardware keyboard that does not slide out so is always visible (like a blackberry).But I don't know where to put this code to hide the soft keyboard in all places where it might possibly appear in my Activity. I have tried adding the code to Activity.onUserInteraction to no avail. It seems the keyboard appears after the onUserInteraction executes.

View 4 Replies View Relatedon my old phone (palm treo 755) i had a checkbook app that i used daily. i have tried several finance apps on the market, but none seem to do what i want. i have tried the following:
checkbook genius
easymoney
checkbook
dgmoney
with the old program i could create budgets, set up future payments/deposits, show & hide transactions from the transaction list (ie hide cleared items) and display acct balance on a specific day the apps i've tried so far do make decent checkbook registers, but i miss the flexibility of my old app. anyone know of or have experience with another app that could do all this? i have no problem paying for an app that does all this.
I've only had my droid for about three weeks now and would like to take everything off of my old SD card and utilize the 16gb card but I can't figure out how to do so. I have a MacBook, and when I had my Blackberry Curve and connected that to the Mac, it messed up pretty much anything media related and prevented me from accessing the sd card (if I remember correctly, it was a while ago and I certainly didn't try to do it again). From the looks of some of the forums, there have also been problems connecting the Droid to Mac's so I'm afraid to do that. Does anyone know if this is still the case? I'm at a loss at how to get the stuff onto my phone or the new sd card.

View 6 Replies View RelatedHaving issues with gmail contact sync. I was using the blackberry tour which I synced regularly with outlook. When I switched to the Droid i exported the vcard into gmail and the gmail synced with my droid. The problem is some of my contacts have been merged with other contacts. For example, Nick with no last name was merged with Nick H that does have a last name. They should be two different Nicks and I dont understand why the droid is combining them. I have checked the gmail account and the two Nicks are NOT merged together, but the two Nicks ARE merged on the actual phone. My phone was syncing with facebook and gmail but i disabled the auto sync and just manually synced the gmail on its own but i still have the same problem. I also have another friend with the same problem on her droid.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI just got a new Droid X and can't seem to figure out how to use extended phone numbers in my address book. By extended numbers I mean ones where I have inserted a "w" between the number and say a password that allows me to continue into my voice mail once it has been answered (ex. 123-456-7890 w 1234). When I try to use one of these numbers, I get a message from Verizon saying the number cant be dialed. Apparently the Droid is not pausing where it should.
