HTC Droid Eris :: Why I Don't Like Home Replacements?
May 4, 2010Because, unlike some, I actually like the HTC widgets that come with the phone and home replacements don't allow HTC widgets. Any others with me?

Motorola Droid :: Home Replacements And The Home Key
Sep 7, 2010I like switching between the stock home and Launcher Pro and ADW. Since the 2.2 update, when I use a home switcher to use one of the replacements, my phone defaults back to the stock home screen when I hit the hardware home button on the bottom of my Moto Droid. Is there a setting I am missing to change this. Even when I select the replacement as "default" using the Home Switcher, it still reverts back to the stock one when I hit that home button.

May 12, 2010i've been using dxTop pretty much since i got my Droid, but it's starting to fall behind in aesthetics, performance, and features.the thing is the single-swipe access to each home screen is such a great feature i can't bring myself to use other home replacements. are there any other, better supported home replacements that replicate single-swipe access to at least 4 home screens? can sweeter home do this?

Jun 4, 2010This is driving me crazy. The phone is pretty much useless when this starts happening. I will be on the Main home screen and then it will start jumping Home screens as if I'm swiping to the left but I'm NOT swiping! Once it is on the last screen to the left it won't let me switch back to HOME. I can almost never do anything when this happens. I haven't dropped the phone. I've reset the G-Sensor. Has anyone experianced this? I've even done a Wipe of the device.

Dec 6, 2009I got my Eris only a few days after playing with an iPod for the first time.Besides the widgets feature, there is an aspect of the iPod interface that I like better than Android.I like how the "Home" of an iPod lists all of the installed apps, but you can move them to different pages to categorize them.With Android, I go through the market and add a bunch of apps, but then I have to go add each one to one of the Home pages. Does anyone know of a Home interface that auto-adds apps when they are downloaded?

Before on 1.5 OS, all I had to do was hold down the "Home" button to display my most recent 6 apps, then hit the button again to pick if I wanted "Home" or "HTC Sense".Now, that does not work.

I like the fact that I can add any shortcut to the bottom row next to the launcher. Open Home seems to have the most skins available. I like the clean look of the generic Android Home, but 3 screens is a little lacking.

Aug 2, 2010So about 2 weeks ago I was sent a replacement evo from Sprint customer service. In the replacement order it said a9292 replacement phone. Well to make a long story short it ended up going to a wrong address and a new order was made... this time though the order details shows a "phone kit" was sent. Nov 23, 2009Have had my Eris for a week and am adjusting to all the quirks mentioned in other posts. But phone service in my home is nearly non-existent. Sometimes I get 1 bar and sometimes none. Phone calls are garbled and have had several drops. My wife's LG phome on Verizon does much better.
