Are you planning on dumping your home replacement when 2.2 Froyo comes out? Or will you still use them on top of Froyo?I've gotten so used to the Home ++ bar at the bottom I don't know if I could get rid of it.

I like switching between the stock home and Launcher Pro and ADW. Since the 2.2 update, when I use a home switcher to use one of the replacements, my phone defaults back to the stock home screen when I hit the hardware home button on the bottom of my Moto Droid. Is there a setting I am missing to change this. Even when I select the replacement as "default" using the Home Switcher, it still reverts back to the stock one when I hit that home button.

Is there anyway to put more apps on those screens? I wanted to put pandora on the car home screen but I can't figure out what these extra spaces are for.

I am hoping that a new release will be coming very soon. Hopefully we can get some kind of the eta on the new release. And just when sweeterhome was virtually bug free!

The new one has a new version of Car home which appears to have open sockets for apps that can be added, but I cannot figure out how to add them. Is this just an issue with the the leaked copy of FroYo or is it just not customizable?

In fact, I've removed all beautiful widgets from all my home screens and home screen replacement apps. Yet for some reason I get the weather thing in my status bar as if I had Beautiful Home running. Which means it's somehow being run without being told to. And it only does this with Sweeter Home.

and gives me the Force Quit button.
It usually happens when I'm texting or using the Messaging widget on the home screen and today it has been happening very often!! Starting to get annoying.
do i need to close/delete the widgets/icons on my original homescreen? do these still run and take up resources or does it not matter? logic tells me yes, but im not familiar with linux and how it runs.

Well to make a long story short it ended up going to a wrong address and a new order was made... this time though the order details shows a "phone kit" was sent. Well I got it today and it is a brand new in retail package complete with charger and manuals. Am I lucky or is this normal?
View 24 Replies View RelatedNot sure if anyone else is getting this, but every once in awhile when I try to go back to the home screens the HTC logo comes up and a "Loading" window comes up for a little while before I can access the home screens. Anyone know what could be causing this? This never happened before froyo. At first I thought it might be from widgets that I have saved to SD but I don't have any apps with widgets saved to SD (I don't think). Ideas?

This morning when I went to use it I saw a Dialog sitting atop the home/launcher screen notifying me that an update was available and that I could choose to upgrade now or later. My question is, what API mechanisms is this using to show a Dialog (perhaps an AlertDialog) atop the home screen? Having written an Android app, it was my understanding that Dialogs could only be shown atop an Activity, and that a Service cannot show a Dialog (only a Toast).

Now with Froyo sporting its own Bluetooth voice dialer, does anyone know if there's a way to switch to it? I am running 2.2. My biggest issue with the Motorola bluetooth voice dialer is that'll take up to 30 seconds from the time I press the dial button on my bluetooth device till it'll be ready for me to say a command. Totally unacceptable! Is my only option to go to a custom ROM?

View 8 Replies View RelatedI have a non-rooted Droid 2 and the Desk/Home dock. When I first tried it out, it worked as expected-starting the home dock screen when placed in the dock. However, I now find that whenever I dock the droid, the notification bar shows that it is connected to the multimedia dock but it does not start the dock application. I used Astro to browse the /system/apps folder and found the Dock app- clicked on Open App manager and then Launch at which point I get a message saying "Activity not found com.motorola.dlauncher". I don't know if this is why nothing is happening when I dock the Droid but can anyone tell me why this suddenly stopped working and what I can do to get it working again?
