Does anyone know of a good replacement for HTC Sense UI that can be run on the 2.1 v3 leak? I currently have beautiful widgets and I would like to keep them which is something that I don't think I can do with aHome lite.

do i need to close/delete the widgets/icons on my original homescreen? do these still run and take up resources or does it not matter? logic tells me yes, but im not familiar with linux and how it runs.

View 11 Replies View RelatedI just got the eris a couple weeks ago, and then the trackball died so verizon sent me a new one. Now on the new phone when I try to change my homescreen wallpaper, it always wants to zoom in on the image. I'm not sure how to explain it, but it will let me use the full width, but not the full length while looking at the phone with the buttons on the bottom. So I have an image that is 320x480, and it wants to crop it down to 200x200 for example. It zooms in and makes it a square, instead of a rectangle like the screen is. I just want the wallpaper to be what it looks like when the image first opens from the photo album app. But as soon as I try to make it a wallpaper it wants to zoom in and make the photo look dumb.

View 16 Replies View RelatedSomehow I got my phone to go into a landscape mode home screen, I'm running 2.1 v2 and I've had the phone for almost 5 months and I've never seen this happen, and now I can't make it happen again. Turning it on its side does nothing to the home screen. Has anybody else seen this? The phone was just an icon and everything seemed to look fine, like it was meant to be landscaped.

View 34 Replies View RelatedI have the giant clock/weather widget on my homescreen (the one that comes on the phone when you first get it and the one most people probably use). I have seen animations of this clock on the HTC site that show the digits flipping over. And you would think it would do that anyway based on the design. However, I noticed my doesn't really flip. The digits just change instantaneously. No flipping animation. Is this just mine or is that how it is? I was actually hoping it would flip because I always thought it looked neat.
View 13 Replies View RelatedSo I had the setCPU widget on my homescreen, and was noticing that when I wake my phone up, the screen comes on but it would take about 4 or 5 seconds for it to respond to any scrolling or touch input. At first I suspected it was my screen off profile being too low (480/245). But I then removed the widget and the problem seems to be solved for the most part. Can someone confirm that this is an issue or is it just a placebo? Oh, running PlainJaneT2 Stock 2.1 with OC and A2SD.

Since the 2.2 update, when I use a home switcher to use one of the replacements, my phone defaults back to the stock home screen when I hit the hardware home button on the bottom of my Moto Droid. Is there a setting I am missing to change this. Even when I select the replacement as "default" using the Home Switcher, it still reverts back to the stock one when I hit that home button.

Well to make a long story short it ended up going to a wrong address and a new order was made... this time though the order details shows a "phone kit" was sent. Well I got it today and it is a brand new in retail package complete with charger and manuals. Am I lucky or is this normal?

View 1 Replies View RelatedWell we've pretty much all heard by now that 2.1 will not be including any more than 3 Home screens. I was REALLY hoping for 5, as 3 is not enough and I'd like more room to play with Widgets. Even with folders and some snazzy organizing it's still not great.
What's the status on Home Screen Replacement Apps? All I know about it Home++ but last I read it was pretty buggy and Force Closed quite a bit. I'm not looking for anything crazy I really just simply want more than 3 screens, 5-7 ideally...are there any apps out there that handle just this?
I know we're getting 5 homescreens in 2.1. still no idea when we'll get that update! last I heard Motorola was in their final testing phase and at that Nexus One conference the head of Moto said the same.. within a few days it should have been ported. Har har we all knew that wasn't happening that quick. I've got my 3 homescreens maxed, and I really would like to use a homescreen app to have more. I don't want to sacrifice stability and I don't need crazy features, I'm simply looking to just go up to 5-7 screens so I can test some larger widgets out in the meantime. I'm not rooted and I don't really want to either. What's best? Home++?
View 15 Replies View RelatedI've done the searching and nothing has solved my problem and the last time this was brought as far as I can tell was back in December. My issue is that there is no consistent time when this happens. Sometimes it happens as I unlock the homescreen, as I'm exiting out of an application, as I rotate the screen, and even as I'm shifting between home screens. It also happens randomly based off of my last reset. Since it started (about a month ago) it has happened as long as 3 days after my last reset and sometimes as soon as 20 minutes after. I've tried installing the Home++ application but that did not solve the problem either. Does anyone know of a setting or way to bring the icons back without having to reset the phone? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

View 4 Replies View RelatedId charge my 6 month old moto droid overnight, it would say 100% on the battery and in 3 mins it would be at 20%, the past few times ive restarted it it would go back to 100% but it wont anymore so verizon is sending me a refurb one, id like to know if there are any fixes to my problem, and also how to basically take an "image" of my home screen to transfer to my refurb droid, so i don't have to make folders and re create widgets again.
View 3 Replies View RelatedSearched and couldn't find anything on this. Occasionally when i unlock the phone, all of my homescreen widgets are gone. Nothing but the wallpaper is visible. It usually happens when i am browsing on Dolphin and the screen times out. Then i hit the unlock button, swipe across to unlock, and when i hit home key, all apps are gone. Must reboot to get widgets back. Has anyone had this problem or know what to do to fix it?
