HTC Droid Eris :: Where Camera Shots Located On SD Card?
Jan 6, 2010I know the camera saves pictures to the SD card, but I can't find them there using OI File Manager, or plugging it into my laptop!
The pictures are there, because I can view them and see them listed under "Albums". Under "Albums" it shows a folder called "Camera Shots", but when I look on the card, there is no such folder, nor can I find the pictures that are in it, anywhere else!
All I can see is the folder called "Saved photos" via the OI File Manager, under "Albums", and via my computer.
Android :: Where Are Application Files Located?
Oct 30, 2010I have a new Galaxy S. If I go to Market and install an application, everything is done automatically without giving me options.
So, my questions:
a. What is/are the files that are downloaded?
b. Where are files saved to?
c. What happens during installation? Is there just one binary? Or a binary with lots of other files? How can I find out the files that belong to a particular application.
If it is a paid application, how can I save it so that I can reinstall again. I am having so much trouble learning this new phone that I have to restore it to factory state already twice on the first day.
General :: Where TWRP Backup Files Located
Dec 6, 2013/sdcard/TWRP/ is empty except for a single .twrps file
/storage/emulated/0/ is same as /sdcard/
/storage/emulated/legacy/ is same as /sdcard/
/storage/sdcard0/ is same as /sdcard/
I know the backups exist, as when I'm in TWRP, I can hit RESTORE, and see my backups listed there, but if I goto ES File Explorer, and try to do a search for that same filename, I get no results.

May 6, 2010I'm trying to download the SMS app from XDA and the guy has it up as a zip file. I download it and extract it, and it's a folder with random crap in it. No apk.
Then I read that I just change the file name. I'm on a Mac, so I change the filename and it verifies if I want to change it from .zip to .apk and I say "yes." Put it on my card and Astro still doesn't recognize it. It's list, but it's an icon with a window and a gear in front of it.
I installed the Vanilla email app, no problem. Not sure what the deal is with this one.
HTC Eris :: How Do I Put My Custom Mp3 Ringtones Where Default Ringtones Are Located?
Nov 11, 2010I have Nonsensikal ROM installed on this Eris and occasionally make my own mp3 ringtones. But they never show up in the default list of available ringtones. Is this by Eris design?I know how to add a custom ringtone but was just curious as to why I cant include it in the default listing area rather than having to go to my music gallery.

This came in handy when I would travel and people wanted some of the large files emailed to them. Since the Eris, I have missed this functionality. May 4, 2010I got my droid eris in december for christmas and have had no problems until recently. Everytime I try to put more music onto my Eris it'll only transfer SOME of the files. For instance, my phone was stolen last week and I just got my new one today. I tried to put about 20 artists onto it, and after waiting 30 minutes for them all to transfer only about 15 were there. I've checked and I still have ample space too.
