View 1 RepliesI've been trying to call a non-static method, located in my main application Class, from the Preferences Class. Because the method I call is not static, I instantiate the main class and then try to call the specific method I want but it's force closing.
Preferences.class (from where I call the method):
Preference sorted = (Preference) findPreference("sortPref");
sorted.setOnPreferenceChangeListener(new Preference.OnPreferenceChangeListener() {
public boolean onPreferenceChange(Preference preference, Object newValue) {
Object d = new Dmarks();
((Dmarks) d).queryBookmarks();
return true;
}});
the Dmarks.class method I call:
public void queryBookmarks() {
Toast.makeText(context, Toast.LENGTH_LONG).show();
//context is not null and the Toast is working if I call it from Dmarks.class }
The Logcat:

Recently I hard resetted my tab. All the apps and files were gone but somehow it retains some setting, including wallpaper. Now, I want to use the image file of the wallpaper but I can't locate it anywhere, whether in the tab nor in dropbox or google drive. It is not the wallpaper that came with the device, it is an image I retrieved from the net somewhere, which I tried to google it too without any result. I mean, where did it get back that wallpaper from, and where did it store it now that it can display it as a wallpaper?

View 8 Replies View RelatedI am looking for an application that would let me organize my main Android menu using folders or groups of icons. Preferably in a similar way iPhone OS 4 does it but I'm not picky and anything that would help me to sort out the cluster of programs I use would be appreciated. I only look for two features in this application:
1. That it organizes in groups (under one icon) or folders applications in Android main menu (and not on the main screens with widgets).
2. That it was free as there's no paid apps at the moment in the Market where I live.So, if anyone could help me or know of an application like that I'd appreciate all the help!

View 5 Replies View RelatedI've a list view with custom list adapter(list_item.xml). I have multiple layout folder to support multiple screen size. I found out when I inflate using LayoutInflater, its always taking the view from main "layout" folder.
I've a phone with screen size "427x320".
This is my code:....................
I want the layout inflater to pick the list_item.xml from "layout-427x320" folder and not "layout" folder.
I've been googling and searching forums for info on the location of the "Android wallpapers" folder on the EVO. The folder that starts with the purple static ball, then the green grass, etc.? But I can't seem to find any info on THAT folder. I've got Astro Filer Manager. But, I can't seem to locate the wallpapers...
View 3 Replies View RelatedIm running Pete's virgin deodexed version with Chevy's Low voltage kernel. I have the main setcpu profile set to 900 mhz on the minimum and maximum side, with the performance governor. That works fine and I also have profiles enabled. The profiles work great too. The problem is that when switching from a custom profile back to the main profile, the governor ALWAYS sets to ondemand, and then I have to manually set it to performance where it stays until another profile becomes effective.

How can I move apps from the application menu to my main screen?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have done some searching and can't really come up with the information I need. I am currently running on demand at 900/500. I have looked into the profiles but I find it a bit confusing. If you set your minimum for the main screen to 500 on demand, none of the profiles when enabled will be able to go below this?
What profiles do you use and why if you don't mind me asking?
Charging Full (If it is charging why do I care if it moves from 500?)
Charging AC/Full (waste of time, don't understand the diff/between above)
Charging USB/Full (same as above)
Screen Off (set to my min clock speed?)
Battery (issue or non issue? I don't want to have my performance knocked back when I drop below 50%)
Temp (should I be worried? and at what temp?)
Can you just use some of those and they will combine with the max/min settings on the main screen?
What are my advantages and disadvantages?
Am I wasting battery jumping between 500/900? Should the values be closer?
When I have the phone on "On Demand" no matter what setting it is a bit leggy when I restart the phone (even if it is set to 900/900). When I set it to performance 900/900 it snaps right into place. "On demand" and turning on the phone is the only place I ever really notice a lag.
I know this could be done on earlier phones, but I can't find a way to change my main gmail account on the Droid (Android 2.01) without doing a factory reset. Anyone know how to do this?If a factory reset is the only way, what's the best way to do a backup/restore?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI know the camera saves pictures to the SD card, but I can't find them there using OI File Manager, or plugging it into my laptop!
The pictures are there, because I can view them and see them listed under "Albums". Under "Albums" it shows a folder called "Camera Shots", but when I look on the card, there is no such folder, nor can I find the pictures that are in it, anywhere else!
All I can see is the folder called "Saved photos" via the OI File Manager, under "Albums", and via my computer.

After rooter i need to know if possible to update somehow to get my FLASH working or it have to be update to droid 2.2 (if i update to 2.2 after rooted, will it lose all my rooted previously assuming its already successfully rooted)
Slacker, Pandora live streaming apps freezes at work, low signal in the room I work in and I can't work out a the cafe so I am transferring my audio files from my last phone SD to the 16gb but which folder? Old card folder >My Music
New card folder > ? (my playlist, media, downloads)?
On my PC desktop I can choose to have NO wallpaper. Is this possible on Droid? If not, add to list of requests
View 28 Replies View RelatedSince I got the original 2.2 update for my Droid, whenever I get a new text message and slide down the notification bar and select the new message, it takes me to the main text message window rather than the actual thread to reply to the person. It is really annoying because it requires an extra step. I figured it would be fixed with the second 2.2 update but it didn't. I called Verizon and they called Motorola and nobody knew of the problem so they shipped me out a new phone and it still does it! I am not sure if I am the only one experiencing this or if its normal. It doesn't do it 100% of the time but closer to 90% probably.

View 2 Replies View RelatedOn one of my screens I have various apps in 4 different folders so I can access them quicker. Yesterday for no reason, I noticed that I had 2 of every app in each folder I had on my screen! This happened on its own! Then this morning, I noticed that all of my folders are now completely EMPTY with no apps in them! What in the world is going on with my phone?! I still have the apps on my phone but something is causing them to double up in my folders and/or delete them from the folders!
