So whenever I try to play a video from the internet on my Eris it makes me wait about a minute and then pops up and says sorry video cannot be played. (This happens on the internet on multiple websites including Youtube and also on the Youtube app).

View 13 Replies View RelatedI was playing some music today while doing some yardwork and i noticed it was stuttering at the beginning of just about every track it played. I listened to about 12-14 songs and it stuttered in the beginning on about 8 of them, somtimes it would also stutter a few seconds after that but would be fine after that until it went to the next song. Anyone else have this issue? I've got all the apps closed with advanced task manager, so nothing is running and eating up the processor or memory. Any ideas what would cause this or a remedy for it? Any help is appreciated.
View 8 Replies View RelatedI'm trying to download the SMS app from XDA and the guy has it up as a zip file. I download it and extract it, and it's a folder with random crap in it. No apk.
Then I read that I just change the file name. I'm on a Mac, so I change the filename and it verifies if I want to change it from .zip to .apk and I say "yes." Put it on my card and Astro still doesn't recognize it. It's list, but it's an icon with a window and a gear in front of it.
I installed the Vanilla email app, no problem. Not sure what the deal is with this one.
If I load all my music on my SD card can I just put it in my Droid and it will play?

When I had a WinMo phone (HTC Touch) I used EasySync software to automatically specified folders between my PC and phone. This came in handy when I would travel and people wanted some of the large files emailed to them. Since the Eris, I have missed this functionality. I know that I can drag/drop/copy but am looking for something that will automatically sync when phone is mounted. Does anyone know of an app?

View 10 Replies View RelatedI got my droid eris in december for christmas and have had no problems until recently. Everytime I try to put more music onto my Eris it'll only transfer SOME of the files. For instance, my phone was stolen last week and I just got my new one today. I tried to put about 20 artists onto it, and after waiting 30 minutes for them all to transfer only about 15 were there. I've checked and I still have ample space too.
View 1 Replies View RelatedIs this even possible on non rooted phones? i know on rooted phones you can go in and edit the png files in the .apk meaning you can change the icons for the apps and widgets etc. this caught my interest, being something that i could do as possibly an introduction into the developer side of the eris. just wanted to see if it would be possible to reinstall an edited apk file onto a non rooted phone

View 3 Replies View RelatedAfter following Matlock's post about upgrading to 2.1 I tried to restore all of my files using Sprite Mechanic. (Going back and re-reading his post he says that it doesn't work in 2.1-DOH). After installing Astro I tried re-installing Sprite Mechanic from the backup folder that I made with Sprite Mechanic thinking that was the way to get all of the back-up apps out of the back-up folder and onto the phone. I started Sprite Mechanic and proceeded to push the "Restore" tab and it brought up a list of all backed-up apps. I scrolled through them, deciding which ones I really wanted back and which ones I could do without, and then pushed the "Restore" button. Well, my phone froze up and would only display the status bar across the top. I tried pushing different buttons, but to no avail....
