View 5 Replies View RelatedSo, when i got my evo I took out the 8gig SD card and gave it to my brother and took my old 16gig SD card from my blackberry storm and put it in the evo. now when i plug the phone into the computer I see that the SD card is showing up as Blackberry2(which i guess maybe i named it that? i dont remember) and some of the files in ther are blackberry related things. Should i take off all my pics and music and use the evo phone settings to format the SD card? Does it matter at all if I do or dont?
View 2 Replies View RelatedAnyone else experience this on their Eris, kinda fustrating and embarrasing on the types of random pics the phone decides to use as album cover art? Any tips to stop this?
View 3 Replies View Relatedi just got an eris, and the music player on it doesnt seem too bad at all. i'd like to put all my music from my ipod onto it, to essentially replace my ipod. it is about 5GB of music. will that slow down my eris, putting all that music on my 8GB SD card?
View 4 Replies View RelatedI Have 56 songs on my SD card, but only 22 will show up on the phone. I did a drag and drop out of my iTunes onto the SD car by making a new folder on the DCIM.
View 1 Replies View RelatedHow do you copy files to the SD card? When I look in the Mobile Devices folder, it won't allow me to copy any files. When I click on Removable Disk, it asks for a disk.
View 2 Replies View RelatedSeems i've come across a new problem that's just started with my phone. I can't seem to save images from the net to my phone. It used to work but now it doesn't seem to be allowing me to be able to. I'd hate to have to do a factor reset on my phone to fix this. Anyone know of anything that could be causing this?
View 9 Replies View RelatedLove my Eris, except for its music playback. With the SD card that came with it I have about 5gb of music. The music UI is choppy as can be, borderline unplayable at times, the lag is really bad. I've read other posts about faster cards improving performance on the player, but none really elaborating on the music playback.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have no idea where to go to get these (probably routine, simple) questions asked. Thanks for answers/links. I just purchased my phone and I'm really excited. And nervous, is that weird? 1. I have a MacBook Pro w/ my music on itunes, although I didn't buy any of it through them. Is there any issue with connecting my new phone to my computer and getting my music stuff on it? Is it easy or do I need to read about how to do it from somewhere? FWIW, easy to me = drag and drop, or have it automatically transfer.
1a. I am hoping to replace my ipod touch with this device. Realistic? Or silly dream?
2. What should I do to the phone when I first get it? Are there things Verizon includes that I should delete (like when you first buy a computer and it's preloaded w/ a ton of crap)? Are there things I need to immediately get?
2b. I assume those things I need to immediately get are apps. Can I browse them now w/out the phone or can I only do it from the phone? What are the "must haves"? Is there a website that lists the most popular/useful apps?
3. Is there a good tutorial for how to get the most out of Android? Or do I just monkey around and see what I like/dislike?
4. Should I root this thing? Not quire sure what that means, but it seems to be what the cool kids do.
4b. Other than paying for the teething thing from VZW, is rooting the only way to get that ability?
This app is sooo cool! My Droid is now a DLNA Server. I am streaming my Droid's music, pics and video to my home network's DLNA Clients: PS3, PCs, and WD TV Live. TwonkyMedia Goes Mobile with Android Launch at CES:

I downloaded and installed from the Android Market. When you first start the app, it scans your phone for media. I turned on my Droid's Wifi. The TwonkyServer Mobile was immediately visible to any DLNA or UPnP client. It took 2 minutes. No setup was involved. The UI looks pretty cool too.
I've only had my HTC Wildfire a few days but it seems like the phone I've been wishing for. One question though - I'd like to put stuff on the SD card over WiFi - rather than plugging in the lead. Is this possible? I know it can be done as Tune Sync does it - but this maybe an exception. It's on the same network as the Wildfire can get out I just want to be able to see it from my Windows 7 PC.
View 6 Replies View RelatedI am running Leedroid 2.2d A2SD+. I just bought a new 16Gb sd card, and want to use this instead of my 4Gb card. How do I go about copying all must stuff from the old card to the new? Considering my apps are now stored to the SD card, can I just copy all the contents of the old sd card to my pc, insert the new sd card, format it with ROM manager and copy all my stuff from my pc back to the new SD card? What about the Ext partition?
View 8 Replies View RelatedSo i have this problem, im not sure which one is my sd card, when i go to options in my phone there is storage options and there is
Phone Storage
Internal storage
Let system decide..
So, which one is my sd card? And why does my phone keeps on saving app on my phone storage i mean, i have 8 gb sd card, why it doesent save it there?
I took a picture today and I tried to go through my normal route to upload to facebook with the share button when looking at the picture. The facebook option is not there. This happened after I force updated to 2.2.Any ideas on what to do?
View 8 Replies View RelatedSo basically I am getting a replacement because my ones a bit faulty and I was wondering if my apps/photos/contacts etc., will be saved to the SD card automatically, or do I have to do something in order to save them on it?
View 5 Replies View RelatedBefore I rooted I would go through my sd card and delete files that were no longer needed such as application files from applications that I would download and later delete. Now that I'm rooted I am a little hesitant to do that because I'm not sure if there are files on there that are necessary for root.
For example: the SU file on the SD Card. Is that the program itself or is it just the install file. If I were to delete it would I lose the superuser or would it not effect it? I just got a 16 gig sd card so I am wondering what files I need to transfer over if there are any.
Forgive my ignorance, but its there a way to save my contacts to the SD card instead of the phone's internal memory? Is there a way to choose to save "stuff" to the card instead of the memory?
View 1 Replies View RelatedWhen I purchase a new SD card, what is the easiest way to transfer everything to the new card? Should I use some backup app or just mount the 2 cards on the computer and copy all files from one card to the other? Does it matter? I am also curious how to backup the entire device prior to the 2.0 update coming. It seems like the 2.0 update will require flashing the phone. I assume it will erase everything? I wonder if sprint will provide an easy way to "upgrade" to 2.0 without losing everything on the phone.
