I've only had my HTC Wildfire a few days but it seems like the phone I've been wishing for. One question though - I'd like to put stuff on the SD card over WiFi - rather than plugging in the lead. Is this possible? I know it can be done as Tune Sync does it - but this maybe an exception. It's on the same network as the Wildfire can get out I just want to be able to see it from my Windows 7 PC.

Whenever I try to use something like the barcode scanner to link to an app in the market I get the "There are no matches for the search pname:com.<insert app here>" message...
Similarly google translate asked if I wanted to install google "text-to-speech extended", and I get the same message.
When I hit the "phone" button on my HTC wildfire it brings up all my contacts on both my SIM card and in the phone memory. Is there anyway that I can see just the SIM card contacts as it shows up all of my contacts twice! When I hit the HTC people button it will just bring up a list of each contact only once, but this takes a few seconds to load.

How do I go about copying all must stuff from the old card to the new? Considering my apps are now stored to the SD card, can I just copy all the contents of the old sd card to my pc, insert the new sd card, format it with ROM manager and copy all my stuff from my pc back to the new SD card? What about the Ext partition?

View 5 Replies View RelatedBefore I rooted I would go through my sd card and delete files that were no longer needed such as application files from applications that I would download and later delete. Now that I'm rooted I am a little hesitant to do that because I'm not sure if there are files on there that are necessary for root.
For example: the SU file on the SD Card. Is that the program itself or is it just the install file. If I were to delete it would I lose the superuser or would it not effect it? I just got a 16 gig sd card so I am wondering what files I need to transfer over if there are any.
Seems i've come across a new problem that's just started with my phone. I can't seem to save images from the net to my phone. It used to work but now it doesn't seem to be allowing me to be able to. I'd hate to have to do a factor reset on my phone to fix this. Anyone know of anything that could be causing this?

I've been messing with it and it seems like my mobile network isn't connecting correctly. I had to power down the phone earlier because it froze to black screen and I couldn't escape out of it and ever since then its been problematic. My Mobile network icon says "standby for connecting to mobile network" I'm not sure if thats bad or good, never actually looked at it. Any help or am I gonna want to do a factory reset?

Should I use some backup app or just mount the 2 cards on the computer and copy all files from one card to the other? Does it matter? SSID Visible
WPA2 AES Passphrase Encryption
Wireless Access control (limits devices by MAC address) have disabled until I can get connected
I have even reset my passprase incase I have forogt it (unlikely). The problem I get is when I try to connect I see the WiFi in the corner of the screen briefly with full bars, but it has a ! next to it and then it disconnects.
Any goof apps out there that will turn my HTC Wildfire in to a WiFi hotspot?

The problem I have is that there is an 8GB memory card with 2.2 gb free and yet it keeps telling me the memory is low (17.31mb on the internal phone storage) and yet it is only giving me the option to uninstall things,. Sorted so that most recent photos are top but when I insert into the Wildfire it shows oldest photo first. Put the card back in the laptop and reversed the sort, put it back in the Wildfire but made no difference. Can't seem to find any sort options on the Wildfire unless.
