Whenever I try to send a pic via text message, it automatically turns it into a slide show. Then I recieve error messages "Unable to send, generic issue". All I want to do is send a picture via text.

I have been using alouisious v 12 for quite some time and I cannot get my phone to send pics. I have installed like 5 different roms all with the same results.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI can not send pictures via text message with the stock message app, Handcent, or Chomp. I had been using Handcent for the past 2 1/2 months or so just fine, it would send pics. Then all of a sudden about a week ago it just stopped. It just kept showing the turning green circle over and over until the sending failed. I updated it, I uninstalled it, I reinstalled it. I tried Chomp. I tried the stock app. None of them will send a pic to another phone or to an email. I can send pics to facebook with the facebook app. The stock email app will send an email with a pic attached however.

View 15 Replies View RelatedI just got my x a few days ago and have never had a smartphone (i'm coming from the Dare)...i was trying to send a picture in a text message today, and it sent it horizontal... i took the picture vertically...and when i attached it to my text message it sent it sideways. so i rotated the picture 90 degrees and sent it, and it was still sideways.... anyone know how to fix this? i take most of my pics vertically...and i don't want them posting to facebook or sent to my fam sideways!

But I do miss Windows Live since I'm a hotmail user (no switch to gmail comments please).My desktop gmail through the web is set up to "Send As" my hotmail account, but if I send a new email via my phone, it sends it from my gmail username.I did a search and it was inconclusive. Does anyone know of a configuration to send new mail with the phones native email as a "Send As?"If not, does K-9 only poll gmail or is it a live sync?

It still said it was trying to send it over 30 minutes after I sent it so I discarded it. Now I sent the same pics through text and they went through just fine. I saved them to my computer and sent them that way and it finally did work but it took forever to add them to my email because the pics are so large? Whenever I try sending one picture as a slideshow, the recipient (even if they have a similar Verizon phone, like the Droid) can't see it. It never used to do that, but I don't see a setting that will allow me to just send the picture without making it a slideshow.

View 3 Replies View RelatedWell, because no one has any idea how to change from the phone symbol to the index card symbol on the large "people" icons I found another way to do what I want.
I still can't believe nobody knows how to fix that problem but oh well.
Anyway, I found that you can add a people shortcut which adds a small face icon and made my own people page.
It works great. When you tap it it brings up all of the persons info and allows you to choose what action you want.
Just like the large default people icons *IF* you could change to the index card symbol.
Now, the ONLY problem is, I can't get the persons picture to show up on the main page instead of the silhouette pic.
I am synced with google so all my contacts have pics and they DO show up in the info when you tap on the icon but NOT on the main page icon.
I just want to add the pic to the home page icon, any ideas how to to do it ?
I dnt know if this was mentioned but u can save pix from default txts app. You have to watch where u place ur finger. Don't press and hold on the picture attachment, press and hold on the whole message. You will see that the message and the attachment will highlight green and a screen will pop up.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI have been trying to send a picture from my Gallery, via Gmail. I just click on the "share" button, then select Gmail.
However, I've sent it over 10 times for the past two days, to two of my email accounts. I've also tried sending another pic.but nothing. When the Gmail app thing opens, everything seems ok, and I fill in all the info and hit send. But nothing is being sent.
