I took out the 8GB SD card from my Blackberry Storm and put it the Incredible.
I had a bunch of music saved on my SD Card that I downloaded from VZW Music Media thing.
When I go to music on the Incredible and go over the song (it shows the picture of the album of the song)
it says "unable to play this type of audio"

I have an HTC incredible and have tried everything to put music on it, the most recent program i am using is tunesync, which works great. However, whenever i transfer music i always get the message "unable to play this type of audio file" I have tried everything from making the files all mp3 format to using different programs to do the sync, but nothing will work.

View 5 Replies View RelatedSo i didn't put any unofficial software,in other words,everything is as it came out of the store (except lots of apps ofc. the problem is that i doesn't play any sound when i want to play music,or with some app (without headphones,when i have them then it's normal) but when someone calls me or i set an alarm then it plays perfectly normal so i'm confused...it's obvious that speaker is not broken.
Then today suddenly i can't hear anything when i'm in a call,and the person from the other side also doesn't hear me,i also don't know why is that...i'm not an expert for this kinda things and actually i'm quite knew in this world.
I have a friend at work who has a cheapie smartphone running vanilla Android and whenever he has his phone playing on the dock his lockscreen displays the audio levels behind the password prompt.
Audiophiles, I don't know the correct term for it, but it's all those little lines that go up for each frequency range. The treble side is on the left, bass is on the right.The background is black, the levels thing is a light blue-ish color.
I know he uses Play Music and he has a Pattern Lock, but so far I haven't been able to replicate it on my phone.My phone is a Galaxy S4 with 4.4.2 and the latest Play Music, swipe unlock, and a static picture as the background.I see no options for the levels thing in Play Music nor in my lockscreen settings.Is this something only in vanilla Android that Samsung tossed out?I think it looks really cool; better than the square album artwork awkwardly cropped to fit a rectangular screen.
If this is something vanilla only, are there any good free equivalents in the Play Store you'd recommend?How about compatibility with Rocket Player?
Am I the only one having this problem? I plug my phone into the computer and select "charge only" but this disables any audio playback or anything located on the SD card from being accessed.In the Gallery and Music apps, I receive the following message: "Your content is unavailable because your phone is being used as USB storage. Disconnect USB to access your content."The phone is NOT listed as a storage device in My Computer. Can we not listen to music while "just charging"?I don't have an extra outlet at my desk so I just wanted to charge through my PC.

View 6 Replies View RelatedRecently I've been having an issue with Google Play Music where when I play a song, it plays for a second then pauses, so I have to press play to get it going again. This occurs repetitively which means I can't listen to music.
It happens on songs that are being streamed and on songs that are on the device.
Funnily enough, if the song is played through ES file explorer and the little play music popup window comes up, it plays fine.
I've got this issue on both my devices, a tf101 running 4.3 and a nexus 5 with stock 4.4 rooted.
Edit: just remembered, I've also got this issue with MX Player and videos. I can't figure out what's wrong.
Streamed videos played through the gallery video player work fine.
I tried to play onlinemusic other than youtube it asks for adobe player n when i click it it says something about system requirements.is there any other flash player avail or any other option.

It seems like when I use voice dialer, I say "Call Home" and a list of options pops up of who to call (one choice being Home) (When I wish it would have just automatically called Home), but if I use voice search it automatically does call Home.
Headphones are in but they are not and because of this i am unable to make or receive calls without putting it on loud speaker and are unable to play music without headphones.... does anyone know how to resolve the issue?

View 1 Replies View RelatedComing from a Iphone to the X the music player is a little lacking. Often I will go into a certain artist and want to play all the songs by that artist, or thumb through all their songs to find a certain one. On the stock music player on the X this seems hard to do (maybe I'm missing something).
if I pull up the music by artist and select a certain artist then it shows me all their albums (The iphone has the option at this point to select all albums and see all the songs of that artist in alphabetical order). The X doesn't give a option to select all albums at this point. If I go to artists and long press on a certain artist I can select play and it will start playing all that artists songs, then I can hit pause and go into the list from that point to see all the songs but they seem to be in a random order making it hard to find a specific song.
I've tried a couple other players and haven't been able to find one that functions like the Iphone, makes it hard to quickly find one song.
Have had my new Incredible now for a couple of weeks and love it. I am still learning so much about how it works and have searched but can't seem to find an answer to this question. When I plugged in my earbuds from my Ipod tonight to go for a walk, the music continued to play through the speaker and not the headphones. I can't seem to find what I have done. I am using Isynch for my music and the preloaded music app. Do I need special headphones?

There's a USB input in the center console, which works great with my wifes Ipod, but when I plug my incredible into my car using my usb cable, i can't seem to get it to work.
I've tried it in charger mode, as well as mounted, and no dice.
I couldn't hear the music play at max volume on my Incredible at work (noisy environment). Was disappointing coming from a raggedy BB Storm 1. But then I did something to it and the volume incresed... about 25% higher from the max setting that I had. I can now hear it while I am working. I tested this method on the Pandora. It worked every time.
Here is how:
1. Play music (from whatever app you use)
2. Hit the home key
3. Open Voice Search (Programs key if you don't have it on your home screen).
4. Done.

Apparently my device is not being recognized as a storage. I did the unmount thinking. Also, I am wondering how I can play audio from my phone through the RR audio system.

View 29 Replies View RelatedNot a single type of video is playable on my phone. Youtube.com, YouTube App, videos from my phone's SD Card, videos I recorded with this phone a few days ago, nothing. Videos I was able to watch on my phone before also suddenly stopped working. I also can't record videos.
On the other hand, my camera works perfectly, so does the music player.
I haven't added any weird adds or anything of the sort. I've attached screenshots of my "About Phone" info, and two other screenshots of what it looks like when I try to play videos on the YouTube App and videos that are directly saved on my phone.

Since then, I've done the following:
-Rebooted the system and re-installed the latest Kernel version.
-Uninstalled and re-installed YouTube.
-Installed MX Player. This solved the problem I faced while playing videos from my phone, but still can't watch videos from YouTube.
-Went through my Apps and found that I'm missing the Video Player app (click picture)
-Factory Reset to no avail.
I've had this phone for about a month and a half, and installed ICS on it on day 3 or so. Ever since, the videos were working properly, lagless and flawlessly, just a few days ago problems started appearing.
Perhaps the Video Player apk would do? I can't seem to find it anywhere for my phone.
Could I somehow trick the player on playing something of this format? I know that there is support for AAC encoded files but just how?

I just copyied music files from my Windows-based pc the they all copied with no problem. The issue is when I go to play the music I have to force close the app repeatedly then I get an error message saying "sorry player does not support this type of audio file".
Is there an app available to convert files or did I mess up the path in someway that the songs, all mp3's btw, just aren't being located properly?
My favorite TV and FM stations all have links on there websites for live streaming vidoe/audio. They all have Quicktime or Windows Media links but my Evo will not plahy them. I've tried several Radio apps on the Market but no luck with them either. Is this a planned fix or do I have to go back to to a I-phone or a windows based phone?
