Feb 3, 2014I have a 32 gig micro sd card in my Galaxy s4 mini and I am curious what program I can use to Map "My pictures" and folders on my PC with sub folders of pictures to sync with my Galaxy s4 mini but then periodically sync to the device weekly to ADD or Delete photo's that have changed since last sync.
I'm constantly adding photos to My Pictures on my PC and I don't want to simply Drag and Drop the 32gig every night, I just want to look for changes and add what is New.

Jan 3, 2010Saw some discussion on this on the Hero forum here, and one mention on the HTC forum, but no conclusive answers. I cannot get HTC Sync to work on my computer. I am running XP SP3. I have downloaded the latest version of HTC Sync. I disable my anti-virus and firewall and install, and it reports it installs correctly, but that it will not run and it will not recognize the phone.
I read that it's a "known issue" with McAfee, but don't see a workaround or any detailed threads.Anyone running McAfee and get it to work?

Computer runs windows 7 64bit so VZ Cast or what ever it's called won't work. How do I set up an HTC sync? I also want to be able to do drag and drop. Apr 19, 2010just noticed this recently when I decided to change my wallpaper, luckily I have back ups of these pictures. but when I load an image on the SD card from my PC and then when the phone reloads the card it will delete all the data within the file. I even tried renaming the directory to see if this will resolve the issue but it doesn't the phone still continues to destroy the file. it will destroy images from zedge as well. it does preserve a few files that were loaded by scanner or by the camera. so those are the only ones still viewable. this is a rooted phone fyi not sure if it matters in this case. I discovered the problem with vanilla rom, and then swapped back to eris2.1official. phone still does it.

Oct 9, 2010I just bought my HTC Hero a few days ago and just found this forum as well. I am wondering if anyone can tell me how to sync my phone to my computer. I didn't get any CD with it. I am also wondering if I hard reset my phone back to factory default, will all the apps, etc that were there out of the box, still be there? If I can sync with my computer, can I put my contacts back on from my computer? And, finally, there is a "notice" type "bell" sound every so often on my phone, but I have checked messages and phone calls as well as email, plus there are no notifications at top...what might it be? Thanks for your help. Hope I haven't posted something that has been talked about a million times before.

Jul 28, 2010I have an urgent problem with my desire and would appreciate any help. My desire is not detecting my computer when I connect the USB, I connect it and it begins charging instead of asking me about the connection type. As I was puzzled and thought this was very strange, I checked the "connect to PC" settings only to find out the "ask me" option was indeed enabled . When I connect the USB to the computer it begins charging and displays "USB" on battery status, but it does not actually detect the computer, nor does the computer detect the phone (even when I change the default connection type to "disk drive" it continues on charge mode). Has anyone any clue as to what is wrong with my desire? I am very confused because as I said, I select the "ask me" option but it does not "ask me", I really want to fix this as it means I cannot sync music onto it, any ideas?

When I had my droid I just plugged it in and the droid said " do you want to sync" and I choose yes and I could go into "my computer" and into my phones files to drag and drop files etc, this phone is not giving me that option.

Nov 25, 2009I can't sync between my PC, Vista 32 bit, and my Eris. I can mount the SD card and transfer pictures, etc. I have enabled USB Debugging. I have installed/re-installed HTC sync several times. I have disabled my virus software.I get the HTC Sync notification when I plug in the Eris, but when I tap it to start connecting, nothing. The PC bleeps at me as if it has recognized a new device, but the Eris never finds the HTC sync software (yes it is open). It finally reports that it can't find HTC Sync on the PC.The first time, Windows installed several device drivers, including the HTC driver. "My HTC" driver is visible in the Device Manager and reports it is working properly. This last time, I got a Windows Error stating the HTCVBTServer module had stopped working.I can't find any information on this.
