Jan 13, 2010Can I sync my Eris to 2 different calenders? I want to sync my wife's calender to mine and my calender to hers.
Is this possible? I searched but came up empty.

Nov 25, 2009I can't sync between my PC, Vista 32 bit, and my Eris. I can mount the SD card and transfer pictures, etc. I have enabled USB Debugging. I have installed/re-installed HTC sync several times. I have disabled my virus software.I get the HTC Sync notification when I plug in the Eris, but when I tap it to start connecting, nothing. The PC bleeps at me as if it has recognized a new device, but the Eris never finds the HTC sync software (yes it is open). It finally reports that it can't find HTC Sync on the PC.The first time, Windows installed several device drivers, including the HTC driver. "My HTC" driver is visible in the Device Manager and reports it is working properly. This last time, I got a Windows Error stating the HTCVBTServer module had stopped working.I can't find any information on this.

Jun 3, 2010When I had a WinMo phone (HTC Touch) I used EasySync software to automatically specified folders between my PC and phone. This came in handy when I would travel and people wanted some of the large files emailed to them. Since the Eris, I have missed this functionality. I know that I can drag/drop/copy but am looking for something that will automatically sync when phone is mounted. Does anyone know of an app?

Sep 3, 2010So in early May, I got the Android update thing for my Droid Eris. I started it, and it took forever. Ever since then, I can't link my Facebook account to my phone. I've seen a lot of similar situations but nothing exactly the same. I can't link any of my phone contacts to my Facebook contacts. I have the Facebook for HTC Sense and the Facebook app. I can log on and view my Facebook accout, etc but when I go to People my contacts don't have pictures. I've tried to go to menu > settings > account & sync and remove my Facebook for HTC Sense account and manually sync or whatever. Still didn't work. A "force close" message appears every time I try to sync, yet my Google accounts will sync. I've tried going to each contact and manually link them to their Facebook profile but nothing even loads, as in it will say I have no friends to choose from (whomp whomp). I finally gave in and installed that Sync My Pix app but I'm not satisfied. Mainly, because that app saves all the contacts pictures in my photo albums and it doesn't do their status updates, etc. Really, I just don't want an app to make my phone do something it's already suppose to do.

Jan 22, 2010I have searched and read a lot of threads that talk about syncing but still have not been able to find a solution. My problem is, I am wanting to do something so simple, I want to sync my contacts on my phone to my gmail account so that it's backed up (if anything happens to my phone) But i tried going to settings and it wont let me do it (maybe i am doing it incorrectly). Can someone post the correct ways to do this? My default email account is a hotmail account and i have added another email account which is the gmail account.

Jan 24, 2010I want to keep work events separate from home events, which I loaded onto the phone's Calender. I went ahead and downloaded the Calendar Pad for Android and it is really great. It went and synched with the Calendar app native to the device, which is find because i really like the UI.
But I need a separate calendar app for my work stuff. I don't want them on the same calendar (way too crowded).
Anyone know of an app that just "keeps to itself"? I searched and I couldn't find one.

Right now my two main calendars are red for home and orange for work. I would like to adjust these so there is a little more contrast between these two entries. Feb 16, 2010I've searched the forums and looked at the Sticky above, but it doesn't seem to answer the question. We have one staff member here that bought a Droid Eris (Verizon) and unlike the Motorola Droid, I can't get this phone setup via Active Sync to our exchange server. I setup his account on my phone (M Droid) and it worked perfectly...messages, contacts and calendar all synced up fine. I go back to his Eris, and it says the account cannot be created at this time. All the settings are the same etc., so I'm a little stumped. I called Verizon and they said to wait for the new 2.0 upgrade that's supposed to be coming, but they weren't sure if that had been addressed or not. Am I missing something, or does the HTC Droid Eris not fully work with Active Sync with MS Exchange 2003?

Jan 1, 2010Has anyone been able to sync their Eris in Vista? I have yet to get HTC Sync to even see my phone. The only way I know that I can even see it is by doing a USB mount to copy files over to the MicroSD. I did some Googling and it looks like others are having the same problem. Just wondering if anyone found a work around. I have yet to try it on one of my XP machines.

Jan 9, 2010So I added a few contacts on Google today, and noticed that they hadn't gone to my phone, I checked in Settings>Data Synchronization>Google and noticed that Contacts were actively syncing that moment. So I waited. Contacts continued to sync for twenty minutes, so I turned the phone off, took the battery out, put it back in, and the contacts still just keep syncing but never finish. However, no real data is being transferred, I suppose it's somehow stuck, but can't figure it out. Workaround? Fix?

May 14, 2010Before I upgraded to 2.1 OTA, my contacts had no problem syncing with Facebook (both manual and automatic). Here is what happens: I go to a contact, find the bar that says "Link to Facebook" or whatever it says, click it, then type in the name of the person to search Facebook friends, but no matter what I do it says that there are no matches. No one else has reported this problem, so I'm guessing it isn't a problem inherent to 2.1. Could you guys provide some input as to what I need to do to fix this?
