HTC Droid Eris :: Get A Notification "Sign-in Error For Insertname@youtube.com"

Can watch Videos just fine, but every hour or so get a notification saying, "Sign-in error for insertname@youtube.com" ! I use the same password as I do when logging into youtube on my notebook and no issues, yet every time I try to log into youtube on my Eris, It's not a big deal as I can still view videos, it's just annoying having to delete it from my notifications every 2 hours ! Anyone else with this issue or a fix ?

I sign in to youtube just fine and it works great and can upload fine but i keep get a sign in error in the notification bar and it wont take any password.

I get a sign in error everytime i log in to my youtube. Youtube logs in just fine and let's me into my accout but the phone keeps sending me a error message and wants me to log in but wont take my password. Why?

I've been having a problem with my YouTube account ever since I did the OS update from Verizon. I keep getting a notification that says there was a sign-in error with it. When I click on it, it prompts for my password. I enter my password, and occasionally there's a Captcha to enter, but mostly there isn't. Either way, it doesn't accept it, and keeps prompting me to log in. I turned off the sync options for that account in the settings menu, but it still happens, just not as often. YouTube works just fine, as do all my e-mail accounts and the like.

Did wife's Eris to 2.1 tonite. She was on PRL 51807, prior to 2.1 after 2.1 and *228 option 1 and 2 she was back down to the 51776 that I am currently on. Prior to the *228 she didn't have the sign in error, tested with reboot and also airplane only mode. LOL seems to be the error. Don't know how to get it back up to the 51807.

i have a Gmail account setup with a pop account tied to my Gmail. on my phone I only have the Gmail account. It does show an @ sign when i get pop mail via Gmail however it doesn't show up as a number on the mail icon. only when i get a true Gmail email does it show up as a number on the icon. once i go into mail and preview the email (pop) it will show as a number on the icon. any ideas?

Is anyone else having a problem signing into Youtube? This has been going on for the past week (only had the Epic for two weeks now) and I can't sign into the YouTube app and I get an error saying that I can't sign into my YouTube account. Is anyone else having this problem? Also, hard reset doesn't work.

I just read an article about the improved youtube mobile site at m.youtube.com. I have used the youtube app since the ota that was sent out to fix it and downloaded an apk that allowed it to always default to HQ rather than having to change it each time. But I just tried out the mobile site and it is blazingly fast compared to the app. The only thing that would make me not use this over the app is that I didn't see a way to watch the videos in HQ. Am I missing something? Does anyone else have a preference for the mobile site over the app or vice versa?

updated on orange to 2.2 froyo, all good except youtube won't sign in. every time i try and open the youtube app it forces close. even after i removed my youtube account. re adding account didnt work, kept asking for password and authentication but would not work.

I just got my HTC Desire today, and have been learning how it works etc, but I just tried to do a google search, use youtube and sign into facebook using the facebook app and widget, and nothing will work. I can use FriendStream fine.. I updated my facebook status with it and it's showing updates as they happen. I'm using my home wifi and the phone says it's connected with signal strength 'good'. Can anyone explain what the problem might be? I haven't tried 3g yet, if that matters at all. (not entirely sure how I'd switch to it for testing purposes other than going outside out of wifi range)

I am all of the sudden having a problem with the Droid Eris.I keep getting a pop up Google sign in on the screen.the username shown on the screen has gmail address(part of it is my address but at the end of my address there are 2 extra numbers added to it (i do not have numbers in my address (do not know how it got there) there is no way to change the address on the pop up, but i try to put in my password that I have and it does not work.I can access gmail from a computer with my correct gmail address and PW.Is there any way to get in contact with Google (haha) and Verizon says it is Googles problem.I want to try to get back my correct gmail addy on the Eris, if anyone can help ? All I can do is talk and receive text and go on web, If I try to go onto Menu, Market it asks me the PW.

after restarting my phone, it asked for my Google sign in (I upgraded to 2.1) but when I put in my password it tells me that there's a network error.I've tried restarting and retrying but the same thing happens.Has anybody else had this problem or have any way to fix it?

I have a 2 minute 720P video taken with the droidx that i am trying to upload to my youtube account. The video is 140mb in size. i get the following message when I try to upload the video to youtube via the share option in Gallery "You can not upload a video larger than 1GB".
I get this message if I'm connected to wifi or not. The video is only 140mb in size!
Any one else getting this message?
I was getting this message prior to upgrading to 2.2 and was hoping that the 2.2 would fix it, but it didn't.

I've had my Sprint Hero for around 4 months now, it is not rooted, running stock 1.5.I was trying to check the marketplace for any updates to my apps and it brought me to the set up google account screen.I've tried signing in and It tells me that there was an error on sign in and my SIM card might not be provisioned for data. Obviously as a Sprint customer I don't have a SIM card, is there anything I can do to get things working again?

Interesting question for you all. I'm running a rooted Eris on xtrROM 4.6 with all the little bells and whistles. No apps that are out of the ordinary. Just a moment ago I had the little warning triangle with the sign through it. I opened it up and it was a message that said google sign in error.It gave me one of those stylized arrangements of letters that i had to punch to make sure I wasn't a bot. Generally stuff like that makes me fairly wary so I closed it and opened both my gmail folder and google calendar (which I just started using today actually). Both worked fine. Was this a fishing scam of some kind? I've been reading some reports of how fishing scams are coming over through SMS and I've gotten some of the more obvious ones for walmart cards etc, but this one was new to me.

I just installed the latest version of Skyraider (sense) and everything seems to be working ok except that I cant sign into my google account.In the notifications it gives me the sign in error and when I select it I am prompted to enter the characters in the random picture it shows.I do this and it just repeats, over and over again. I can't get past this. Also, I know that I am not messing it up.

i have begun receiving a "Sign-in error" for the main Gmail account I set up the phone with. It stays in the notifications bar and if I try to input the password it authenticates forever then tells me the password or login are incorrect.Weirdest part though is I can still access the account and it appears i am still receiving push notices.

has anyone else noticed that with the 2.1 youtube app on the eris ROM if you go to my account and then your subscriptions you can't watch the videos of your subscriptions there? is that because the ROM hasn't been registered or something because it worked just fine with 1.5 (when you could get the videos to actually play).
