"Google sign-in" error
Didn't want to re-post but looks like this is happening on several different devices. It's a problem with a sign in error.
For the longest time since I purchased my phone a year ago, it has periodically, upon receiving picture messages, shown up as a gray square with an orange triangle. This was alright because it was a once in a blue moon type ordeal. However, recently since I updated to 4.3 it's consistently happening more times than not. My s3 carrier is Metro PCS, it runs 4.3 as stated again.
View 8 Replies View RelatedI just got a Hero from orange, everything is great, I can browse the internet, sync my exchange emails etc however whenever I try to sign in to my google account to use market, gmail etc it says that my sim is not provisioned for Data!
View 8 Replies View RelatedI was just sending a text and all of a sudden i had the black screen of death and then the phone seemed to reboot itself with an image of a red triangle with an exclamation mark in the middle of it
I proceeded to try and turn the phone off but it gave me lots of options with a white screen, i couldn't get it to do anything so i took the battery out and then it started normally.
I've had my Sprint Hero for around 4 months now, it is not rooted, running stock 1.5.I was trying to check the marketplace for any updates to my apps and it brought me to the set up google account screen.I've tried signing in and It tells me that there was an error on sign in and my SIM card might not be provisioned for data. Obviously as a Sprint customer I don't have a SIM card, is there anything I can do to get things working again?
View 5 Replies View RelatedInteresting question for you all. I'm running a rooted Eris on xtrROM 4.6 with all the little bells and whistles. No apps that are out of the ordinary. Just a moment ago I had the little warning triangle with the sign through it. I opened it up and it was a message that said google sign in error. It gave me one of those stylized arrangements of letters that i had to punch to make sure I wasn't a bot. Generally stuff like that makes me fairly wary so I closed it and opened both my gmail folder and google calendar (which I just started using today actually). Both worked fine. Was this a fishing scam of some kind? I've been reading some reports of how fishing scams are coming over through SMS and I've gotten some of the more obvious ones for walmart cards etc, but this one was new to me.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI just installed the latest version of Skyraider (sense) and everything seems to be working ok except that I cant sign into my google account. In the notifications it gives me the sign in error and when I select it I am prompted to enter the characters in the random picture it shows.I do this and it just repeats, over and over again. I can't get past this. Also, I know that I am not messing it up.

Prior to the *228 she didn't have the sign in error, tested with reboot and also airplane only mode. LOL seems to be the error. Don't know how to get it back up to the 51807.
View 4 Replies View Relatedi have begun receiving a "Sign-in error" for the main Gmail account I set up the phone with. It stays in the notifications bar and if I try to input the password it authenticates forever then tells me the password or login are incorrect.Weirdest part though is I can still access the account and it appears i am still receiving push notices.

View 9 Replies View RelatedI am trying to update my 1.5 hero on Orange. I first need to update to the latest ROM .66 which I am trying to do. HTC Sync thinks my phone is connected to PC and I have downloaded the ROM upgrade from HTC.
When I run the upgrade it says it is Verifying the Information on my Phone.....then says it is not connected. Can anyone suggest a reason for this as I really want to update to 2.1.
Can watch Videos just fine, but every hour or so get a notification saying, "Sign-in error for insertname@youtube.com" ! I use the same password as I do when logging into youtube on my notebook and no issues, yet every time I try to log into youtube on my Eris, It's not a big deal as I can still view videos, it's just annoying having to delete it from my notifications every 2 hours ! Anyone else with this issue or a fix ?
View 4 Replies View RelatedI've got a couple of questions that have been driving me nuts since I got my Moto Droid. I was going to post in the Droid forum, but I someone in my family has a LG Ally and is having the same problems.
First, does anyone else get random "Google Sign In Error" notifications which prompt you to type in one of those random jumbled words that everyone uses to prove your not some bot or something? The two Android phones I know do this. I searched the forum and found a bunch of stuff to do with youtube accounts...neither of us have youtube accounts connected to the phone. It is a pain in the ass, and it often makes me do more than one. Only thing that really really bothers me about my awesome phone. it's nonsense that it does this. I have two gmail accounts if that matters, but the family member has a gmail account and an aol account....so yeah...
Second...I'm using Launcher Pro as a home replacement, annnnnd sometimes after I've been searching the web or using some application when I press the home button it appears to be restarting Launcher Pro? It takes 10-20 seconds for everything to load up (clocks, widgets, etc). I assume it does this when the phone needs more resources or something? Is this normal? Anything I can do to make this happen less often?
i unrooted my DHD then attempted to reroot it using "Advanced Ace Hack Kit", it was going well untill it go to the 2nd reboot where it freezes at the htc logo.
i can get into the boot loader but when trying to go to recovery i get the exclamation point.
I cannot get into my recovery. Alright so i bricked my AT&T lg optimus g after trying to delete some bloatware after rooting my phone. I unbricked it by using LGNPST and got stock android 4.1.2. My software version is E97020j. The phone works perfectly fine but i cant get into recovery and i want to flash some custom roms. I can root my phone perfectly fine. The only way ive seen that unlocks the bootloader of the optimus g is a program called project freegee. When i try it, it tries to reboot into my recovery and bricks my phone. Then i have to use LGNPST again.
Ive used apps like clockwork mod manager and it says i already have TWRP and Clockworkmod recovery installed but it wont reboot into any of them. It just comes up to a black screen and says "Secure boot error, cause: boot certification verify." Ive tried getting into recovery using adb on my computer and using the old hold power button and up volume button method but nothing has worked. I cant find online how to get my old stock recovery image or how to fix the red triangle and i dont know how to uninstall TWRP and Clockworkmod. The methods for other phones doesnt work on mine.
My Thunderbolt turned itself off and I got exclamtion mark with triangle and droid symbol. I pulled battery, restarted and it happened again. what just happened?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI used to have a rooted HOX but didn't use a custom ROM. And now, I wanted to do the OTA for 4.2.2 and Sense 5 update, so I did the OTA without unrooting and keep root from onexroot.com, but its showing the red triangle of death. So I did unroot my HOX hoping this will make things better. Yeah, it did relock my fastboot and wipe data to factory settings but when I tried to do the OTA, the red triangle of death is still there.
HOX Asian edition
Android Version: 4.1.1
Sense 4+
Software number: 3.14.707.24
I bought this device (Galaxy S2 plus i9105p) few days ago.Yesterday I tried my recovery for a first time. There is a red triangle with a exclamation mark and fallen android guy. I can move in my recovery, but anything wont work. For example if I try to do factory reset and confirm it, everything dissapears but the fallen android guy and red triangle.
The phone and android itself works very well.
Is that normal?
Should I try warranty?
I have stock firmware, stock recovery, no root etc.
I tried to root my Nexus 4, and well I'm not too sure if it is rooted but after unlocking the bootloader and wiping the data, I got it to boot back up and then since then when I turn it off and try and go into recovery mode it has a dead android with a red triangle and says "No command." I can use the phone normally but it just wont let me get into recovery mode.
View 1 Replies View RelatedWhen I turned on my LG Thrive this evening, I got a picture of the battery overlain with a yellow triangle. Phone would not boot up. Tried to charge with no results. Took out the battery and replaced it. Now the phone appears to be charging, but the icons for charging will not stay lit. Although it has been on the charger for some time, the phone will not boot up
Through a google search, I found that many people get the battery with a yellow triangle and a red thermometer. Most think that temperature is the problem, but no one has conclusively identified the problem. I do not get the thermometer, so my problem is probably different.
I have been trying to follow the tutorial to take my Nexus 7 (2013) from it's just unboxed state to dual booting Android and Ubuntu Touch. I succeeded in unlocking the tablet. I am using Ubuntu 13.10 on my laptop and installed the whole Android SDK and everything (even though I already had Eclipse installed for learning Java). I've reached two sticking points.
First, the part where I'm told to copy the three files (the MultiROM zip, the kernel zip, and recovery image) to the root directory of the tablet: it's not clear how to do that. The files wouldn't copy except to the internal storage folder. Or is that the root directory?
Second, I am unable to boot to recovery.
Code:
adb reboot recovery
command only brings up the android on his back with the red triangle containing an exclamation mark. That screen lasts a minute or so and then the device reboots normally on its own. I have tried several power and volume button combinations to get a different result at this point, but to no avail.
Yesterday I received a Samsung Galaxy Note from China Mobile, model GT-I9228. It didn't have google play and so I looked online on how to get it. Apparently I had to root my phone. However, when I rooted it using this method: rootgalaxynote(dot)com/galaxy-note-root/how-to-root-galaxy-note-gt-n7000-method-2odinheimdall/ (it said gt-n7000 on the box so I thought it was compatible) now it's stuck at the loadup screen with the yellow triangle. I tried to restore it to a stock gb rom, but it keeps failing. (The phone can go into download mode, I just don't know what to do from there)

View 3 Replies View RelatedI've had the notification that ICS 4.0.4 is now available for my Galaxy Nexus. I've tried to apply it a couple of times but it fails with the Android on his back with a Red Triangle over him.
The phone is rooted and encrypted. How to apply the change?
I have the dead android with the red triangle on the recovery mode, I upgraded to jellybean 4.1.1 but some reason KIES reads my phone as being SGH I 747, so I factory whiped and reset, reinstalled 4.1.1. My original issue was when I wanted to sign into certain apps the phone would vibrate and then the app would crash and I would have to start over or not use the app! I tried to install a correct jellybean 4.1.1 into the phone hoping to fix the issues but I cant do anything, Now there is a dead android with a red triangle no clue what that is! When I tried to install another zip I get verification failed in recovery mode.
