i have begun receiving a "Sign-in error" for the main Gmail account I set up the phone with. It stays in the notifications bar and if I try to input the password it authenticates forever then tells me the password or login are incorrect.Weirdest part though is I can still access the account and it appears i am still receiving push notices.

I have a problem with my HTC magic after clearing the date in the App Manager. This could be a temporary problem or your card may not be provisioned for data services. If it continues, call customer care. Keeps appearing after I tried signing into my gmail account. There is data inside my phone which I wish to keep it. My Backup manager isn't working.

View 3 Replies View RelatedJust got SGS2 and for the life of me can't sign in to Gmail, so no access to Market...etc.....after pressing the stock Gmail Client Icon and entering my gmail id and password.....the phone seems to take a couple of minutes to try to sign in and then comes back with unreliable data connection msg...i am using good Wi Fi connection and don't have a network data connection yet.

View 9 Replies View RelatedI'm an Android newbie - I've just purchased an Android v4.2.2 tablet and I'm having a basic problem that I can't sign in (using the tablet) to my google account, which is not a gmail account: it's xyz@myisp.com. I can sign in OK from my windows-based PC and netbook - but from Android, the email/password are not recognised.
To get going I created a gmail account which enables me to sign in to my new android device: but obviously that doesn't give me access to all my google-related "stuff" that is in my xyz@myisp.com google account.
I know this could be done on earlier phones, but I can't find a way to change my main gmail account on the Droid (Android 2.01) without doing a factory reset. Anyone know how to do this?If a factory reset is the only way, what's the best way to do a backup/restore?
View 14 Replies View RelatedI just installed the latest version of Skyraider (sense) and everything seems to be working ok except that I cant sign into my google account.In the notifications it gives me the sign in error and when I select it I am prompted to enter the characters in the random picture it shows.I do this and it just repeats, over and over again. I can't get past this. Also, I know that I am not messing it up.

Changes i made werent showing up on web version, and emails i sent would just sit in outbox.I have 2 gmail accts.Removing 1 of the accts and adding it back, fixed the issue with that account.But its not letting me remove the main gmail acct.
View 2 Replies View RelatedMy mom wanted an Android phone and decided to go with the Droid X. She really likes the phone so far, even though there is a bit of a learning curve. The problem that is frustrating us both is that in order to sign into Google's Android Market place you must enter/confirm your gmail account. We enter her account information, which is 100% correct, and then it brings us to a captcha box. I've entered about 30 different captcha's and each time it starts to connect to Google's servers and then brings us right back to another captcha. There will be clear captcha's and I will be very careful I'm entering the correct characters and then it will still not work.Does anyone have a solution to this? Should I chalk this up as a server problem and wait and try it again tomorrow?I understand this isn't necessarily a Droid X issue as it is an Android 2.2 issue.
View 3 Replies View Relatedi'm trying to add a 2nd gmail account through the gmail app. it goes through the entire process, goes to the sync page and allows me to select what i wish to sync up then gives me a confirmation that the account has been added but when i go to the gmail app and check accounts it still only lists the 1 original account. i've tried powering the phone off and restarting - also added the account via HTC email app and deleted the 2nd account via HTC email app just in case it was conflicting there
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have my original gmail account "slaved" to my google apps account, so when I log in to user@gmail.com it displays my google apps user@domain.com as being logged in. For most things this is great, but now with the android phone there are some gotchya's First was the Market. I had to create yet another gmail account to buy anything off the market, because when I sign in to my 'gmail' account on my phone it signs me in as an apps user.
Second, is my google voice (attached to gmail) has its own set of contacts associated with my gmail account, and they are not synced with my google apps account. I was hoping the phone would sort of mesh them together, however I'm not seeing that. On my iPhone I was using soocial, however they recently stopped allowing unlimited contacts and their new free limit is below my number of contacts. Is there a way for the phone to keep these to contact lists "connected" and synced together?
I'm looking to change my primary account for my android phone but am not looking to loose all my information while doing it. The gmail account i set up my first android phone with was really just a bin for all my other crazy emails to go to. I finally got to creating a real gmail account for myself and want to tie my phone to this account instead.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI realize that the Incredible will bring in your Gmail contacts during phone setup so I have all of them currently organized in Gmail as Last Name First Name in the single Name field as Gmail currently doesn't have two separate fields for first and last name. Does the phone itself have fields for first and last name and if so does it make more sense to reorganize my Gmail contacts so the phone can recognize what is the first name and what is the last name?

In Gmail, you can respond to emails as if it was coming from the business email (server). This was a simple sync I had with Blackberry emails. However, I'm finding difficulties setting up the same thing for my new HTC Incredible (Verizon provider).

I even managed to download the BarCode scanner application.That's where the problems begun. Since auto-sync was on, all my gmail contacts were synced with my phone contacts. Now since I did not want to see my gmail contacts every time I try and make a call, I performed a factory reset on the phone (since there was no other way to get rid of all the gmail contacts at once). I then turned sync off and tried to sign in to my Google account, but it refused to do so. I get a message saying: "Unable to establish a reliable connection with server. This may be a temporary problem or your phone may not be provisioned for data services. Please contact customer care if the problem persists." I even tried connecting with sync on just for the heck of it but it still did not work.The Samsung Customer Care service in India is truly pathetic. They said that: "We do not provide support for such technical problem" Wtf? They then proceeded to give a regional center number, which when I called.
