after restarting my phone, it asked for my Google sign in (I upgraded to 2.1) but when I put in my password it tells me that there's a network error.I've tried restarting and retrying but the same thing happens.Has anybody else had this problem or have any way to fix it?

I am all of the sudden having a problem with the Droid Eris.I keep getting a pop up Google sign in on the screen.the username shown on the screen has gmail address(part of it is my address but at the end of my address there are 2 extra numbers added to it (i do not have numbers in my address (do not know how it got there) there is no way to change the address on the pop up, but i try to put in my password that I have and it does not work.I can access gmail from a computer with my correct gmail address and PW.Is there any way to get in contact with Google (haha) and Verizon says it is Googles problem.I want to try to get back my correct gmail addy on the Eris, if anyone can help ? All I can do is talk and receive text and go on web, If I try to go onto Menu, Market it asks me the PW.
View 1 Replies View RelatedDid wife's Eris to 2.1 tonite. She was on PRL 51807, prior to 2.1 after 2.1 and *228 option 1 and 2 she was back down to the 51776 that I am currently on. Prior to the *228 she didn't have the sign in error, tested with reboot and also airplane only mode. LOL seems to be the error. Don't know how to get it back up to the 51807.

View 4 Replies View RelatedDon't burn me at the stake, but I want to switch back from Google Voice, but when I switch to carrier voicemail, it asks for a voicemail number, which I assumed was my phone number, but when I enter that, calling voicemail just goes to voicemail, as if someone called me. My reason for switching is because the SMS feature is about 25% accurate and when I turned that off, I stopped getting sotifications that I had received a Voicemail.

I updated to 2.1 about 2 weeks ago, and no its not Rooted.
I did not do anything weird the night before either I am thoroughly confused and worried.
I am still able to get to the power/Vol down menu thing
I am going to try reinstalling the 2.1 update or somethig, I cannot think of anything else to try
Why do I have to keep quitting / restarting Pandora?

View 9 Replies View Relatedi get this at least once or twice per day since updating the phone to 2.2 via OTA, and sometimes it's more like 5 or 6. it doesn't seem like it's a rampant problem based upon the latest threads here. anyone else have this issue? i figure doing a factory reset is my best bet but just wanted to get some feedback first.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI've been having a problem with my YouTube account ever since I did the OS update from Verizon. I keep getting a notification that says there was a sign-in error with it. When I click on it, it prompts for my password. I enter my password, and occasionally there's a Captcha to enter, but mostly there isn't. Either way, it doesn't accept it, and keeps prompting me to log in. I turned off the sync options for that account in the settings menu, but it still happens, just not as often. YouTube works just fine, as do all my e-mail accounts and the like.

It does show an @ sign when i get pop mail via Gmail however it doesn't show up as a number on the mail icon. only when i get a true Gmail email does it show up as a number on the icon. once i go into mail and preview the email (pop) it will show as a number on the icon. any ideas?

It says "Google Sign-in" and it has the CATCHA box.I have a HTC EVO 4G, with an aftermarket battery. I am on wifi a lot as I live in an area with a lot of free wifi and I have wifi at home and at my girlfriend's house. I have had Android since the Dev G1, but never had this with the G1.The problem is, I have to enter it several times a day, and it only seems to pop up when I try to do something, like answer the phone or type a text message. Since I have no keyboard, these arbitrary sequences of letters are a real pain. About half the time it makes me enter two sequences of letters-I do not know if that means I did the first set wrong or what, but I have to do CAPTCHA every day.

It now boots and asks me login to my google account and now it freezes on 'signing into google'.. I got my phone checked from service center and other mobile shops, they told the phone is dead. It just shows the welcome logo of karbonn and after that a small symbol occurs and then restarts again.
why I'm not able to sign out of Google Talk? I have 2 Gmail accounts and want to switch over to my other one. I unchecked the automatic sign in box in the settings and forced closed and reopened the program again. When I open it, it automatically signs me into one account. It's extremely annoying. I hope I don't have to do a full reset of the phone because I already have so much stuff on it already, including a lot of personal data. This is something that I just can't get by because I need to start using G Talk now.

I use the same password as I do when logging into youtube on my notebook and no issues, yet every time I try to log into youtube on my Eris, It's not a big deal as I can still view videos, it's just annoying having to delete it from my notifications every 2 hours ! Anyone else with this issue or a fix ?
View 4 Replies View RelatedI've had my Sprint Hero for around 4 months now, it is not rooted, running stock 1.5.I was trying to check the marketplace for any updates to my apps and it brought me to the set up google account screen.I've tried signing in and It tells me that there was an error on sign in and my SIM card might not be provisioned for data. Obviously as a Sprint customer I don't have a SIM card, is there anything I can do to get things working again?
View 5 Replies View RelatedInteresting question for you all. I'm running a rooted Eris on xtrROM 4.6 with all the little bells and whistles. No apps that are out of the ordinary. Just a moment ago I had the little warning triangle with the sign through it. I opened it up and it was a message that said google sign in error.It gave me one of those stylized arrangements of letters that i had to punch to make sure I wasn't a bot. Generally stuff like that makes me fairly wary so I closed it and opened both my gmail folder and google calendar (which I just started using today actually). Both worked fine. Was this a fishing scam of some kind? I've been reading some reports of how fishing scams are coming over through SMS and I've gotten some of the more obvious ones for walmart cards etc, but this one was new to me.

When I launched Google Voice for the first time a dialog showed up and asked, "Sign in as mygoogleacco @gmail.com?" When I clicked the Yes button Google Voice signed in for me ***without*** asking me for any credentials.How do I add this to an application of my own?I want to make an IM / SMS application (leveraging Google Voice and Google Talk services) but I don't want the end-user to have to give me their credentials. When I enter my email and password it says xxxxxxx@something.be does not use gmail and then it suggests alternatives ending at gmail.com.I do not wish to create a new gmail account, I simply want to use the same email and password that I also use on my computer to login to google and latitude and so on. I can see latitude under this account on my pc but can't login to it with the wildfire because it keeps moaning about this gmail.

I went to settings and I unchecked the auto sign in, but when i go to Talk again, they automatically sign me in, did I do anything wrong? or am i signed out when I exit Talk?
