I had Skype a while ago but when I did the 2.1 ROM update I cant find it in the Android market? Is it because of the update or is it gone from the market.

Had a quick question - Did the update yesterday morning with no issues other than I can not find some of the apps I used prior to the upgrade. I can find them in the market, but when I try to use my phone to download, it can not find them. Note: I used Astro to back up most of my apps on the phone, these couldn't be backed up since they were marked private. And they didn't display in my downloads either after the upgrade. Digital Clock Widget: Silent Time: If I use my friends phone (same version prior to my upgrade), no problem finding these apps. Suggestions? I could always downgrade back to the previous version, but I was having some freezing issues that I hope this upgrade fixed...

View 1 Replies View RelatedSo I saw that Droid commercial showcasing some popular apps and noticed a skype app. I've searched for it many times before and just though that there was no skype app on the android market, but apparently there is. Whenever I search for it I can't get it to come up though. Anybody having this problem or know of a fix?! I did the manual install of 2.1 a few months back btw, in case that makes a difference.

The android widgets only show an analog clock and I can't find any widgets under HTC widgets. Nothing. At all. No widgets whatsoever... Anybody had this issue, can help me out here? I'm waiting for my OTA update and would love to have this fixed before I get my phone updated.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI just got a Captivate and upgraded to the leaked 2.2 update.Since I updated, gameloft apps(specifically Asphalt 5 HD) will no longer show up in the market.I have tried going to gameloft directly and even directly to the download page but it states that there is no such app.Again, I could find all gameloft apps before my update.I've also had other apps show up and when I click, the download page can't be found.is this because the apps are not compatible with 2.2?

Wasn't sure if it's a delay or an issue in the fact that I have the leaked 2.2 version on my phone. I can't find it in the Market and I can't find a barcode to compare it to either.

The Skype Lite app does not allow calling.
I don't mind either calling using my local minutes OR using my data plan.

View 19 Replies View RelatedSkype mobile for Verizon was launched this morning in the Android Market.Those with existing Skype accounts will have no problems setting up.People who dont have a Skype account can either set one up with the mobile app or set one up using the desktop software.I've been using it for a few hours now and I like it.It gives me my buddy list so that I can talk to all of my Skype friends, it allows me to use Skype to speak to other Skype users all over the country for free and even those without Skype numbers at a discounted rate.I have Skype with call out unlimited on my netbook for home and travel, I just use my netbook to make calls from my home.I think its a great application, anyone else whos using it now I'm interested in seeing what you think.
