Until yesterday my email was working fine, now for some reason I'm receiving mail from my yahoo spam folder in addition to my normal mail. Can't say I can remember changing anything.

The e-mail sent to devs regarding the finish of the ADC2 when into the spam folder again. The e-mail contains a link to update your details for future opportunities. 1 Exchange Account - Push
1 IMAP (Gmail) - 2 hourly
1 POP (Hotmail) - Once daily
My issue is that I am receiving alerts for the same new mail repeatedly. Here's the gist:
11:50 - New mail hits my inbox.
12:00 - I receive a notification of the new email.
12:05 - I check my inbox, but choose not to open the email at this time.
14:00 - I get a notification of a 'new' email, yet on checking it's the one received at 11:50, but still haven't opened.
15:00 - Rinse and repeat. Now, I'm not sure how many times this is happening, or even if it's everytime, but there's something definitely glitchy with mail notifications.Has anybody else noticed similar behaviour? If not I may try removing/adding my accounts back in again.
I have set up the stock mail app on my desire to receive my hotmail account mail. However i only have access to the inbox folder. Is there a way to get access to my junk mail folder and trash folder?

View 4 Replies View RelatedI don't really understand how spam texts work (although I am thinking about getting into it since I know how much everyone loves them). For the many months I have had my Hero, I don't think I ever received one. However, in the past week I have been getting at least one every day, sometimes at 4 AM. I have to leave my notifications on because that is how the answering service contacts me.
Now, all of this has started since I loaded Fresh 2.0d. I doubt there is any connection between those two events, but could there be? Is there something about the new ROM that would make it more susceptible to spam? Second, I know that with email spam I just delete them, I certainly don't want to respond to them by checking the "take me off your mailing list." If I blacklist a spam number in Handcent, that doesn't send anything back to the sender indicating it is an active number, does it? It doesn't hurt to blacklist, does it?
I have Google and Roger email account set up on my phone. Is there a way to stop receiving spam emails when retrieving email from these accounts?

View 3 Replies View RelatedThe GMail-App on my Xoom and my Nexus S (both with Android 4.0.3) is driving me crazy. In former times I could easily report mails as no spam.
That doesn't work anymore. Instead I guess it should be possible to mark the mails and label them as "Inbox". But that doesn't work, either. With some luck, it works with 1 or 2 mails, but the rest stays in SPAM, even though at first they disappear from the spam-folder.
Isn't there a way to do that? Why is there no real option to mark the mails as no spam?
Does anyone know how to just receive regular emails instead of everything, like bulk and spam emails?

The geeks at Best Buy set up my email for me which works fine (after multiple trips back to the store). Except that I can't figure out how to do a couple of things. 1. Is there a way to select and delete multiple emails on the phone and 2. How do I get rid of all my spam mail that comes in on the laptop (and gets filtered out there). Do I have to set up some kind of email push program so that the email comes in from my computer (already filtered) instead of from the server? You can see my learning curve is steep.........

I am running on the HTC EVO and as soon as I got my phone I set up my Gmail account through the automatic setup process. I used android market to get the Gmail widget (the one where the icon has the message coming out of the envelope and it looks like a red 'M'). That was working fine and I was getting my e-mails without any problems.The other day, I was tinkering with settings and I set up the HTC Mail widget, which I (stupidly) linked to the same Gmail account. I started to receive double notifications for my e-mails. I quickly realized I preferred the Gmail widget I was using previously, so I removed my account from the HTC Mail widget.So, my problem is that I no longer receive any notifications from the original Gmail widget when I get new e-mails. In fact, I no longer receive any notifications when I get e-mails. I have gone through all the settings I could find and all notifications are set to update automatically and alert me. The only thing I have not yet done is the account reset because this says I will have to reset my phone to factory settings and I don't want to lose everything I have on it at this point.

View 2 Replies View RelatedWhen I first setup my Incredible, I signed on to Gmail. Whenever I receive an e-mail, I get two, one Gmail and one HTC. I dragged the HTC mail widget to the recycle bin. Than I went to manage applications and forced stop the HTC mail. This works until I power off the phone. Each time I boot it back up, I need to go to applications and choose forced stop. It is a small pain but still a pain. One is this happening to anyone else and second does anyone have a solution?

My problem is that i am receiving notifications that i have new mail but there is nothing showing in the inbox. I have check my inbox online and yes there is new mail, but it is not showing up on my device. I have also tried deleting the account and re adding it but the same thing happens all over again after a few mins.
I have had the same mobile number for about 10 years and only ever had one problem with spam text messages, that was 7 years ago. However, since moving onto Android I have received a message every few weeks. Usually they are about wiping debts or accident law suits and come from standard mobile numbers, not premium ones. Now for the last 3 days, no mails are downlaoding and when I click Email, it only shows 'Load More Messages', but on clicking nothing happens. I am think of resetting it, but dont know how to do it. I tried holding the Email and drag it to the Trash, it moves to trash, but reappears. View 7 Replies View RelatedWhen I delete a message from my K9 Mail app, it creates a label in my webmail account named "[imap]/trash". It also places a copy of the mesasge in the normal TRASH folder. I delete the [imap]/trash folder from my webmail account, but K9 re-creates it whenever I delete a message from the phone. How can I stop K9 from doing this, and only placing a copy in the normal TRASH folder?
