The Gallery on my Desire isn't refreshing when I have copied new png files to a folder.The new folder just isn't appearing.Any ideas?The phone is using ota ROM which is stock vanilla rooted 2.2

I have my contacts linked to there face book profiles but there profile pictures are not updating? any one know how to get it to update so i always have the current profile pic on my desire?
View 9 Replies View RelatedI want MY pictures to appear in the "wallpaper gallery". i put pictures into the Wallpaper folder, but when i go to change the wallpaper on the phone and i select the source as wallpaper gallery, my pictures don't show up in there. how to make that happen? i like that wallpaper gallery because its just.. faster! plus, its cool!
View 4 Replies View RelatedI have 3 pictures in my gallery that were originally downloaded off my picasa acct. since then i have deleted them, or so i thought. the thumbnails of them are still showing in my gallery but when i select one, the pic enlarges for a split second then changes to what i guess is androids generic "pic not available" icon. why are they still showing as thumbnails and how can i delete them for good?

View 4 Replies View RelatedSo whenever i save a picture using the default browser... it will not show up in the gallery. How do you fix this? Extremeeeellyyy irritating. When i look at downloads on the browser it will show only the picture you clicked on as being in the gallery, but as soon as you open the regular gallery outside the browser download menu... it wont show up. Who would have thought it would be so hard to update a twitter pic on such a "smart"phone -__-

View 8 Replies View RelatedI just finished the update to 2.1, and all went well. But when I went to look at my gallery, it downloaded and is showing all of my Picasa pictures! It never did this before, and I can't seem to find a settings menu to make it not do this! I would go ahead and delete the folders it added from Picasa, but before I do this, I want to make sure that it's not going to delete them on my Picasaweb account too.
Did anyone else have this problem? Will deleting the Picasa pics that showed up on my phone make the ones on my online account go away?
Never mind, just found the answer:
Similar to syncing for contacts and email, thumbnails of synced photos are transferred wirelessly, so there's no need to plug your phone into your computer. You can add and select the Google accounts associated with the Picasa photos you want to sync with the Gallery in the "Accounts & sync" tab under Settings. Click on an account and mark the checkbox next to "Sync Picasa Web Albums" to automatically pull your online photos into the Gallery.
It still would have been nice if this were an opt-in thing, but at least I can turn it off...
Upgraded to ICS on my Nexus S OTA yesterday. It was All right,for a while but after one reboot the gallery app doesn't show any pics or videos from sd card nor any of the music app recognize any music files from sd card.

View 1 Replies View RelatedDoes anyone else have this issue?When I go in for a close up shot, say 20cms away, the camera focuses fine, turns green, makes a beep them shoots. All fine but when you see the preview or even go into the gallery to view the picture it is out of focus.Sometimes i have to pull back a good 50cms before it will record a focused shot. Is this the macro distance for the DHD?I know it doesn't have stabilization so I've tried this with it mounted and on timer. Still does it. But once I pull back away it behaves as it should.Hope this makes sense. Am I doing something wrong? Is there something in the settings that will eliminate this?

I have tried to force it to update, removed all my subscriptions and re-added them, cleared the cache and stored data. All with various cycles of turning the phone on and off. No luck. It is now a blank widget and when I try to add RSS feeds it won't list any and effectively nothing happens when I tap the widget.
View 6 Replies View RelatedI got the update request on my phone for Froyo 2.2. I downloaded it using the WIFI. However when it came time to install it said I did not have enough memory and took me to a screen to delete some apps which I did.
After doing this I no longer get the request to upgrade and when I check to see if there any updates available (under "About Phone") it says "there are no updates available". I checked to see what the latest firmware was and it says 2.1 so I know it hasn't updated. I have no idea how to download it again and I have called Vodafone (my service provider), HTC and Carphone Warehouse (the place I got it from) to no avail.

I then deleted all contacts stored on the phone to remove duplicates.However, I now don't appear to be able to edit contacts. Changing primary contacts reverts after a few minutes, and I am unable to add new contacts to Google from my phone. It's almost as if my Desire is set to read only, or something.Any ideas?
