I've got a few pics on my phone that i'd prefer if curious people trying out my phone wouldn't be able to stumble upon by accident. I downloaded astro and tried moving them to a different directory but they always show up when the photos app is opened. Is it possible to make them accessible through astro only somehow?

When I uploaded photos from my phone which is a HTC One x it shows all the deleted photos that I took which I deleted on my phone also it keeps duplicating the photos so end up having 3 of each photo.

But I just discovered that whenever I try to add another call when I am in a call, it promps me to complete the action using. 1. my app 2. The normal phone And when I click on my app, it just opens my app. I do not understand what is causing this and do not want my app to be shown in that list.

View 6 Replies View RelatedSo whenever i save a picture using the default browser... it will not show up in the gallery. How do you fix this? Extremeeeellyyy irritating. When i look at downloads on the browser it will show only the picture you clicked on as being in the gallery, but as soon as you open the regular gallery outside the browser download menu... it wont show up. Who would have thought it would be so hard to update a twitter pic on such a "smart"phone -__-

I have an AOL account and cannot view any pics embedded within the email. I do not get a exclamation point where the pic should be, instead I just get a large empty space. Is this a problem with my settings? When I originally set up the account, it defaulted as IMAP... should it be POP3?
View 2 Replies View RelatedWhen I purchased my droid a month ago, all the pics on facebook for the live/news feed were showing up perfectly. About 2 weeks ago, none of the pictures display. They only have a "x" next to the update. At the bottom of my profile page, there is an option that shows: Photos: Off - On - Max. The setting is set to On.
I just finished the update to 2.1, and all went well. But when I went to look at my gallery, it downloaded and is showing all of my Picasa pictures! It never did this before, and I can't seem to find a settings menu to make it not do this! I would go ahead and delete the folders it added from Picasa, but before I do this, I want to make sure that it's not going to delete them on my Picasaweb account too.
Did anyone else have this problem? Will deleting the Picasa pics that showed up on my phone make the ones on my online account go away?
Never mind, just found the answer:
Similar to syncing for contacts and email, thumbnails of synced photos are transferred wirelessly, so there's no need to plug your phone into your computer. You can add and select the Google accounts associated with the Picasa photos you want to sync with the Gallery in the "Accounts & sync" tab under Settings. Click on an account and mark the checkbox next to "Sync Picasa Web Albums" to automatically pull your online photos into the Gallery.
It still would have been nice if this were an opt-in thing, but at least I can turn it off...
I put in a 8GB class 6 card, copying all files over manually. Works fine except for the album application which shows the count (79) but not the images. Rebooted etc and still same.

Photos are uploaded 100% complete but when i go onto Google Photos, the photos are chopped, only top 80-90% are there, the rest is filled with a grey border.

View 8 Replies View RelatedI plug my phone into my pc using the usb port then it doesnt do anything so I have to hit the drop down menu on the vibrant and click "mount phone" is that correct? then on my pc it bring up the menu where it says "open folder to view files" ..I do that and then I open the folder "dcim" which contains another folder that says "photos" and I open that and it shows my pictures that are on the phone...Then I take the pictures that I want on my pc to my phone and drag and drop them into that "photos" folder and they go in on the pc properly but when I go to my phone and try to open them they arent showing there.

View 3 Replies View RelatedThis is my first android powered phone ever. I just migrated from a crackberry and I do love the phone, it just irritates the holy moses out of me. Its a Samsung S4.
The phone has this nasty habit of not deleting my files that I want to delete. I am talking about photos here. old crap photos that I dont want anymore or that are somewhat inappropriate as I use my phone for business but they constantly reappear on my phone. I have no idea where they are hidden or go and then come back from. I have even taken the SD card out of the phone and deleted them off there only to find them back on. I had SYNC completely disabled but that is also not an option as I have lost work due to emails not getting to me in time, silly damn phone.. So how in the world does one permanently delete the photos of the phone and why do they keep on popping back up after being deleted? Especially if you use the rapid shoot mode, i dont want to keep all the bad ones but after I delete them they reappear.
I have an app with an SMS receiver set up, but even if the sms receive function is turned off using the package manager, the app will go to the top of recent applications (when holding the home button) if a sms is received. How can I stop this behavior?

View 4 Replies View RelatedI want to use the Smart Alarm Clock (same as the Sleep Cycle alarm clock for iPhone), but my Desire goes into sleep mode automatically. Can only pick a time between 15 sec to 30 min. The Smart Alarm Clock doesn't work properly because it requires that the screen is on during the entire night. Is there an application or something else than can disable the sleep mode when I want it?

If I do get something to protect my phone, what is the best material/brand/manufacturer to go with? Or perhaps just a leather case would be enough? That way the screen stays perfect and it's still protected when I'm not using it.
After all, I heard the screen quality is pretty good. It's glass, or am I thinking of a different phone? It might not be a "Gorilla" screen like the Samsung Galaxy, but I've heard it's pretty resilient. I think it should be ok with just a leather case, unless anyone here's already got some bad experiences with the screen?
A Galaxy user emailed us to report that one of our apps crashes when he performs a function, we had over 10k downloads of this app with no similar report. Since the Galaxy is not yet available in the US, is there a simulator to help resolve issues like this?
View 4 Replies View RelatedYesterday I made some modifications to my old HTC Desire HD. I removed the battery and instead soldered a fixed power adapter to the phone (at + and - where the battery usually is). It worked well, I could reboot it, turn it off and on as usual. But then I desided to flash another ROM (an unofficial CM 4.4 port), and now the phone is shutting down as soon as it enters the launcher. It says I need to connect the charger.
I can successfully boot the phone if I start the phone with the charger plugged in (which probobly isn't healthy for the phone but whatever). Then I can unplug the charger with no problem.
So, i've tried deleting the batterystats.bin file, replaced it with an empty file with no r/w permissions at all, but it will still be replaced by the system at reboot.
How can i skip the battery check att boot, or how can i lock it to 100% forever?
