HTC Desire :: Any Way To Prevent Pics Showing Up In Photos App?
Apr 21, 2010I've got a few pics on my phone that i'd prefer if curious people trying out my phone wouldn't be able to stumble upon by accident. I downloaded astro and tried moving them to a different directory but they always show up when the photos app is opened. Is it possible to make them accessible through astro only somehow?

Apr 8, 2010Is anyone getting the same problem as me when trying to upload photos taken with the camera to Google Photos, directly (from Photo->Menu->Share->Picasa). Photos are uploaded 100% complete but when i go onto Google Photos, the photos are chopped, only top 80-90% are there, the rest is filled with a grey border.

Sep 17, 2010How do I make my contact photo stay as the google photo.I have several contacts who are linked to facebook contacts and have selected the google image are their main photo. Unfortunately some of the contacts seem to keep changing back to the facebook photo after a short while, whilst others remain OK.I have been struggling with this for quite some time, each time I change the selected image back to google but it always changes itself back.

Nov 21, 2010Does anyone else have this issue?When I go in for a close up shot, say 20cms away, the camera focuses fine, turns green, makes a beep them shoots. All fine but when you see the preview or even go into the gallery to view the picture it is out of focus.Sometimes i have to pull back a good 50cms before it will record a focused shot. Is this the macro distance for the DHD?I know it doesn't have stabilization so I've tried this with it mounted and on timer. Still does it. But once I pull back away it behaves as it should.Hope this makes sense. Am I doing something wrong? Is there something in the settings that will eliminate this?

Apr 7, 2010Does anyone know if it is possible to geo-tag photos without enabling GPS. Surely it should be able to do this via cell positioning? Obviously if I am in-doors, I cannot usually get a GPS lock + it takes a while to lock on, if I just want to point and click but still geo-tag, can I not just use cell location?

I have tried the new HTC Sync but it just uploads the full res version of my photos. Does anyone know of any sync software for putting photos onto the Desire/Android? Jul 29, 2010I've just been doing a bit of exploring via Astro and have noticed that my photos are stored in a folder titled DCIM.Inside this folder there are a few folders and loose files.thumbnails - contains a few files but I have no idea what they are.There are 13 random photos (not in their own folder) which were in the gallery when I received the phone.An empty Camera folder - what is this for? 100 Media - A folder with all the pictures I have taken.Could somebody clarify what the .thumbnails folder and Camera folder are for? Also, can I "tidy up" this area of my phone, and would the phone still recognise and find the files? Could I create a folder which newly taken photographs will automatically be located?

I recall the N1 having the option to integrate with picasa aswell. Currently I use Picasa Tool Pro as a solution, but I'd much rather have it with the rest of my photos.
