Basically, the degrading pics your bros send you. Wife, rightfully so, gets upset when she sees them in my phone and does occasionally look at my phone to cure her bouts of insecurity
I want to have it so if you look at pics you see certain ones but have to go extra steps to see the others.
HTC EVO 4G :: Contacts Not Listed Under Saved Contacts
Aug 11, 20101. I have several contacts saved but they are not listed under contacts. Their name comes up when they call and i can access contact information, name, birthday, number, email etc. from call or text logs. But they are not displayed when i go to contacts from the contacts icon itself.
2. When i go to make a call, i can scroll down to recent calls and then the list automatically turns to my contacts. I have a friend from FB that automatically synced their name / number and listed like 30 times but i can not delete it. Its not listed under my contacts to delete either, just when i scroll down from access the main call button. I even deleted them as a FB friend but they won't go away. How can i correct these?

They'll stay for a day or two, then the contact will just disappear (not in phone or Gmail online). I've tried re-saving numerous times, same result. Then I decided to just enter them in my contacts in Gmail, and it worked for only one.

Jun 11, 2010I came from a Palm Centro soooooo no way to easily sync Palm contacts with the EVO. I converted an export to iCal, coverted the iCal to another file type, uploaded to gmail and ALL MY CONTACTS ARE THERE...NO PROBLEMS!!! I see the contacts in my gmail account online; I see my contact in my "People" app on the EVO. I have a list of contacts that are ONLY email addresses...there are 28 of them. Online in gmail I see them; on the phone I see them when I scroll through the People app. I even put them in a group named "Emails" and see that group with NO PROBLEM online and on the phone.
For EASE OF FINDING THE CONTACTS, I designated all these email-only contacts with the letter "X" in front of the name. For example, to send an email to myself, the contact is "XScott"...to send an email to my father it is "XDad"...that way all I have to do to address an email is type "X" and up should pop allllllllll 28 of my "X-Email" names from gmail and the People app. That SHOULD happen...now here's the problem... FOR SOME REASON, when I launch the Mail app and start typing "X..." in the "To" field NOT ALL OF MY EMAIL CONTACTS SHOW UP!! Specifically, ONLY EIGHT out of TWENTY-EIGHT appear as options to click for addressing my email!...................
General :: Getting Contacts Saved From Former Exchange Account
Sep 18, 2013I left the company where I've worked for 7 years. I have all my personal contacts synced to my former company's Exchange account. That account has since been locked, but my Galaxy SIII still retains all the contacts.
How do I move these Exchange account contacts to a specific contact list in Gmail (or another account)? When I try to do a backup of the phone, I can't find any backup program that lets me backup just my Exchange contacts.. instead. it tries to backup the 3,000 gmail "other" contacts as well, which is just a huge mess and what I don't want to retain or backup. I just want the Exchange contacts backed up.
i also have the contacts synced on my ipad, so if u know of an IOS way to do this, I can do it on there.

Jan 13, 2010By default, when I add contacts, they will save to 'Exchange' instead of my phone. How do I change this so that I don't have to switch to Phone everytime I add a contact. If I forget to switch to it Phone, which I have done twice now, I can't seem to find a way to switch those contacts to Phone - How do I do this?

I start saving them to phone instead of Google when giving the option, thinking i could just sync whenever i upgraded ROMS. I was wrong i lost some contacts, restoring older ROMS. So for future references I will save to google, I just want to know if the current contacts now can be saved to Google grouped or i have to go in and do them individually.

Aug 27, 2010I recently had my DI replaced due to a tech issue, but before I switched over I backed up everything using "My Backup Pro".
When it backed up my contacts, it backed up EVERYONE - including 550+ people I follow in Twitter. I did not have these as visible in my People (phonebook) list, just in Twitter. When I synced with my new DI, My Backup Pro installed every contact to my People list, as the app must have thought it was all part of my phonebook. I tried to make the list invisible like I had it on my original phone, but that did not work, so I deleted each Twitter contact manually from my People list. They no longer show in my People list (though are available to be made visible from Twitter).
This did not solve the problem. Any app that accesses my contact list (even Search People) displays the FULL list which includes my Twitter contacts. There is no long-press or menu options available to hide them.
I am willing to clear my contacts and upload the list again, as they are all backed up to my Google account, but I am afraid it would sync with the server and delete what is saved there.
Any advice on how to clear my contact list of my Twitter followers, or start over with my Google-saved contacts?

Oct 25, 2010Well this weekend I took the plunge after months of reading (trying to get smarter) & rooted my Ally with Universal Androot 1.6.2, (worked flawlessly), then installed ClockworkMod w/Rom Manager v2.5.0.4 (had some issues at 1st) Had the damnedest time Rebooting into Recovery, even manually(send/menu/end). The app acted like it was doing what I told it to till it got to rebooting. the triangle with the android would pop up for about 1 second then it was blank followed quickly by the LG logo where it would bootup like nothing had been done. I got this same result when "Reboot into Recovery","Install ROM from SD Card","Fix permissions","Backup current ROM". But being the bullheaded soul that I am I just keep pushing & occasionally things would happen. I finally got to do a Nandroid Backup. Then I got brave and flashed my 1st ROM, Raptor v0.1. Again with the persistence & slowly success. However things seemed slow. So I got brave once more and flashed the Velocity 0.2-aloha. I will go back to Raptor to try it out but for now Velocity is doing better for me. Both of these flashed using "Install ROM from SD Card" option with zipfiles. Now things started working better Having less problems with CWM, however the "Download ROM" still doesn't seem to work, (error occurred while processing the ROM list). If you're still with me, just tried to answer anticipated questions from all of you, I'll get to my questions; 1. Is there a way to backup my text messages & complete contacts info including pics that I've added to each contact, so that I can transfer these things when I tryout a new ROM? 2. Any suggestions on a good Apps2SD app?. Any info on RageXicity screenshot on the Raptor release thread about what clock app that is, what dock that is, & where did that wallpaper come from??? I liked the layout but don't know where to get it.

Nov 7, 2009I'm having problems with getting Facebook profile pics to show up with the majority of my contacts. Here is what I've done so far:
1) Synced my Gmail contacts with my Droid
2) Set Facebook settings on Droid to Sync Contacts
At this point, roughly 3 or 4 of my 70 contacts showed their FB profile picture. I am able to view people's FB profiles by clicking on their contact profile, but still no picture. After clicking on some contacts' profiles, their picture will appear, but this has only worked a few times (~3/20).
Does any one have suggestions on how to get FB profile pictures synced to all contacts that have profiles available?
