HTC Desire :: Memory Error Message
Aug 11, 2010I have had my desire about 2 weeks now and it is great. I have updated to 2.2 and all seemed to be working fine but today I keep getting error messages saying Low on space - the phones storage is getting low and Not enough storage space for sms.Don't know why this is as I only have about 10 apps installed and have moved the ones I can to the SD card.Is anyone else having this problem?any ideas people?

Oct 18, 2010I`m kind of a noob with android an have messed my phone up , basically had a custom rom running leedroid then sold the phone, so decided to reset it then after resetting, the phone ended up in a boot loop so put it in recovery and tried installing the leedroid rom again but cant get it to install or any other rom need urgent help lol as i need to get this thing sent of the phone was on t-mobile but i got it unlocked can somebody please help . Would like to just get it back working again as i have tryed for around 15 hours and still no luck! i get this error file_getprop: failed to stat "/system/build.prop": No such file or directory E:Error in /sdcard/2.1 Update with Root.zip (status 7) Installation aborted.

Jul 1, 2010I've had my hotmail successfully working for the last few months, but suddenly it kept chucking up an error message about login being incorrect. I removed the account and am now trying to add it back but keep getting "Authentication failed/ Please verify your username/password". I am able to log into xbox.com, msn messenger, hotmail on pc so the above details are definitely being entered correctly.

Any ideas? It's been working before today with no problems.
General :: Samsung Galaxy S4 - Getting Message Saying SD Card Removed Unexpectedly?
May 7, 2013I recently bought an S4 and all was well until I decided to start using the phone to listen to music. Whenever I listen to music on the phone after a minute or two I get a message saying "SD Card removed unexpectedly". This message continues to display until I restart the phone or physically remove the SD Card and re insert. The SD Card is 64GB so it shouldn't be a compatibility issue.

May 26, 2010I've been having a problem with my desire home screen (in particular the sms icon) and I'm wondering if anyone else knows how to fix it.
Recently my messages icon has been showing the little "1" in a green circle indicating I have an unread message. Problem is, I've gone through every list of messages I have on the device and there are no messages I haven't read and the "1" stays there. The only ways I've found to get rid of it are to either delete the icon and then put it back or to use Advance Task Killer and kill messages application. I'm not using any fancy apps for messages, just the default one.
My email counter is always perfect, this only seems to affect my sms. Also, my girlfriend told me she sent me a message a few days ago, but I never received it. Not sure if that's a happy coincidence, or if the phone got the message, is telling me I haven't read it, but isn't displaying it for me to see. All the other messages from her are plainly visible.
HTC Desire :: O2 Removed The 2.2 Froyo Upgrade
Oct 4, 2010My Desire was crashing, so I requested a replacement with O2 business. I upgraded to 2.2 last week using the software update link on the phone. Today I received my 'new' handset from O2 which still has 2.1-update1 as the firmware version. When I tried to upgrade I was informed there is no newer version. Spoke to O2 business, who told me that HTC had withdrawn it again. I'm kinda pleased that my 2.2 desire has been sent back, if there are serious enough issues with Froyo for it to be withdrawn. I did like a couple of things extra in the menu structures, but is it really that important?

Sep 11, 2010i have removed some apps but there is still some of the files on the sd card.should i either delete the files with the pc or download the apps again then clear the app cache before removeing again? will just deleteing the files with my pc when it hooks up to the htc cause any problems or fail to remove hidden files elswhere for the apps? also could somebody list what the default files would be from a new phone and what the file names mean/corespond to please so i dont delete important files.

May 27, 2010Under Accounts and Sync (in Settings), Stocks and Weather seem to nestle permanently - I can't see a way of getting them out of there. I don't use the Stocks app at all and have turned autosync off on it. Is there a way to get if off the Accounts and Sync screen?

Adding why I want it to go: each time I go to the Accounts and Sync screen, the Stocks app ends up getting restarted! Even if I force close it from "Managing Apps", it shows up again as running when I go to the Accounts and Sync screen.
Media :: HTC Desire - Media Player Doesn't Work
Sep 12, 2010I have just got a HTC desire and like many people would like to be able to get rid of my iPod all together and have just my phone. The problem I'm having is that the media player on the HTC desire doesn't work nearly as well as iTunes. I have several issues that would needed to be resolved and wanted to know if anyone had a solution to any of them
1) Audio books, I have many of these on my iTunes and on an iPod they are displayed in a separate folder and are removed from shuffles, not so on the HTC, solution?
2) Podcasts, Again i subscribe to many podcasts on my iTunes and wanted to know if there was any way of adding them to my HTC automatically or having them download automatically (Despite this being very annoying and clogging up my hard drive with duplicated podcasts)
3)Playlists I am currently using iTunes agent to sync from my iTunes but it means that I cannot sync playlists that i can then play on my phone. (I can sync playlists just not then play them on their own once they are on my phone)

Jun 8, 2010When I send text messages to individual it sends them as plain SMS, this works with my free allocation of texts.When I send text messages to a group (a list of 7 individuals) it sends them as 7 "Picture Messages" - this costs me money!. The message has no pictures and is short?How can I force the phone to not send picture messages?

Or can someone recommend a good keyboard? I could live with what it has, but would like to have something different. 2. I loaded Handcent and it worked great BUT- it doesn't show a new message indicator on the App Icon on the home screen- only shows a notification in the Notification bar. Is this correct?

Jul 21, 2010So i've searched around can't find anyone with my problem atleast not yet. I went to transfer some music onto my evo today and for some reason it isn't working. I already have music on it that i transfered from my computer. I plug it in via USB open up the SD card Folder and then the music folder which is showing all my other music. I then dragged in what i wanted into the folder and its showing there. Now here comes my problem. After moving the music i want into the music folder i unmount my phone. It shows the SD card prepping in the top left corner then i open my music player and my new stuff isn't there. I remount my phone and open the music folder and the files i just put in there aren't there either.Oh one thing i did notice while looking through settings and what not, i noticed when i go to the music folders properties it's showing as read only...im guessing this could be the reason but if i turn it off read only and close the property tab and then reopen it its back on read only. I'm at a total loss at what to do.

Sep 2, 2010It does not happen on every message, it is pretty random. I have to resend it 2-3 times before it goes over. This happens even if I have full bar with 3g.

Jun 23, 2010I finally got the guts to do root, and this is my problem.When I am trying to connect to my device i get this error message in the middle of the loop of the adb shell

then the loop stops, or I should say hangs up there till I hit control c then hit yes. I tried and tried for a couple hours and cannot get this to work. I followed everything on the 10 min video, but still cannot get it to work. in my device manager it is installed under android devices (my htc) not sure what that is windows XP pro.Also in the recovery mode it goes to HTC storage device.What am I doing wrong?
