Are they compatible? Are they any good?
I have an HTC Desire, just upgraded to 2.2 (seems a bit slower) and I would like to have the navigation instructions routed through bluetooth to come through the car stereo speakers. Now I know this can be done with A2DP but I was wondering if it can be made to work over HFP?
Over A2DP it works but it means you cannot listen to any of the in-car sources like CD or radio as you have to have it permanently switched to bluetooth audio to hear the instructions. If it was over HFP, the car stereo would mute whatever source you were listening to so it could play the navigation instruction. Is there a way to make this work, or an app to download?
ive got a nokia blue tooth kit in my car and my desire is paired with it. it works thru the car speakers for voice calls but nothing else (lots of echo tho) but my old phone used to give navigation over the speakers too. it would even interupt my in car cd player to give directions then continue playing cd audio. any idea ? looked in my phone settings but cant see anything
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a car stereo with bluetooth.I don't want to start a debate about sound quality of the music through Bluetooth. What I would like to know is if anyone has figured out how to get the music to go through the bluetooth speaker WHILE having the navigation go through the phone speaker. For me that is the optimal situation and would hopefully not have the Navigation interrupt the music instead allow them to both be going on at once.
View 1 Replies View RelatedDoes anyone know a good/working mini bluetooth keyboard (or even micro USB) that works with the Desire without a root. It would be good if it had a dock so it was "attached" to the keyboard, and excellent if it could be used to play games, e.g. SNESOID etc or Quake 3 etc. Micro USB might be better if such a thing exists due to the dodgy nature of the Desire's bluetooth.

View 4 Replies View RelatedDoes anyone know if there is a app, or phone mod that allows you to access the SD Card on the phone, at the same time as it's being used as a drive.I'm getting tired of transferring things like icons, and wallpaper to my phone, then having to unmount the drive before I can use them. Especially if I'm just trying out new icons. Is it possible to have my desire set to disk drive, and access it at the same time?

Here's what I'm talking about, I have bluetooth headphones, several speakers and my car that all are connected to my phone and I'm having several small issues.
- As soon as I turn on bluetooth it tries to automatically tries to connect to these certain speakers, I don't want that and don't know how to stop it.
- If I'm in my car, my phone connected to my car for calls and I'm listening to music through the headphone jack but it will automatically connect to a set of bluetooth speakers in my home when get home and pull into the driveway. So music will play through those speakers instead of my headphone jack. I obviously don't want that either.
-Titanium Backup never restores my bluetooth connection either so if there is an application that can save those too that would be useful.
I'm wondering if its possible to use the android as a bluetooth keyboard.

The Droid is a computer with a phone.Old guys need a real keyboard. The Palm Clie had a fold up keyboard that went to full size and plugged into the Clie.So when are we going to get a blue tooth full size keyboard? I only want 5% of the net for this idea!

I connect my GNex via MHL to my TV. I also have a Nexus 7. Is there any possible way to use my N7 as a remote control/bluetooth keyboard to control my GNex? Run a VNC Server on the phone and a VNC Viewer on the tablet, but this is laggy.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI've got a cheap Speedlink bluetooth mouse from eBay and it works fine with a PC; it pairs up nicely with my Desire HD (running RCMix3d Runny v1.3 ROM) too.
Oddly however, the icon in the 'bluetooth settings' page is not of a mouse, it's an icon of a keyboard.
Pair it up and there's no mouse pointer; move the mouse to the right and the homescreen moves to the next screen - left and you go to the left screen.
Seems my mouse is recognised as a keyboard, oddly enough only emulating the arrow keys. When running Cyanogen 7, it was recognised as a mouse - so what's different here?
Is there anyway of jimmying Android to recognise my mouse as a mouse and not a keyboard?
I was wondering if anyone knew if you could use a bluetooth keyboard like the dinovo mini with the dell streak with the captivate.

View 1 Replies View RelatedTurning the phone on and off.Rebooting my PC.Done both of these multiple times. Have changed settings in "Connect to PC" and re-set them to see if that would make a difference and have clicked and unclicked "Ask me."option on connecting. What is going on? The phone just starts charging, but I cannot get it to show up as a drive. It worked perfectly until I installed Handcent SMS (which I've since uninstalled). And have naturally rebooted the phone several times since.yet it still doesn't work.I'm really at my wits end. I'm using the USB cable that came with the HTC car charger but it surely can't be that but then what is causing it to not work? The only non-standard things I have on my phone are 3G Watchdog and the Astro file manager. Both of which didn't have any impact WRT to mounting the phone. But now, having just bought some music from Amazon on my phone, I can't get my music or photos off the phone onto my PC.

View 5 Replies View RelatedMy google navigation will "skip" when I use it with my car stereo's bluetooth. The first second of every turn-by-turn direction, is missing. Any ideas on with the problem might be? I have an HTC EVO and my car stereo is the Dual XHD7714. When I use Pandora with bluetooth, everything is perfect, no skipping; even google navigation works great too when it is running with Pandora. However, when i run google navigation by itself with bluetooth, the first second is missing. Thank you in advanced and sorry if this question has already been answered. I tried to search for it but could not find any mention of it.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI drive a VW Jetta with bluetooth, which has easily paired with my last two phones (Bionic and S4, respectively). While Google map's turn-by-turn map navigation works fine with my phone's bluetooth on, in so far as I can see directions on the map, the navigation voice is disabled. Only when my phone's bluetooth is off do I hear a voice. I'm not sure if this is a function of my phone or my car.

View 1 Replies View RelatedTried connecting my phone via USB for the first time last night. Upon connection Windows popped up an "installing driver" bubble, as it often does with new USB pendrives, and said this was successful. The phone popped up asking how I wanted to connect so I chose the option to mount as a drive. At this point Windows did nothing for a while then, eventually, the removable disk appeared but I couldn't access it. Whenever I tried to open it, it'd try to scan it for 5-10 seconds then give up and ask me to format it.
