I was thinking about getting a Keysonic 540BT keyboard/trackpad thingy, my question really was - will this work with the official 2.2 touchwiz firmware? Is there mouse/mouse cursor support and how fast or responsive is the input for typing and games (emulators mainly)?

I used to use the Samsung Keyboard with English and the Chinese language input (downloaded in it's language settings).
But after a hard rest (My phone had recently updated itself to 4.3 with no change) I no longer have Chinese as a downloadable language.
WHY is this so annoying... Becuase if I use another keyboard that has chinese I can't swap between it and the Samsung Keyboard in Keyboard. The Samsung has to be selects in the phone setting and can't be selected as one of many keyboards.
The reason why I wish to use the Samsung keyboard is becuase of its great swipe input function. I have not found another keyboard that has swipe in English and Chinese input funtionality.
Which means I can never using any combo of keyboards swap easily from chinese to swipe english keyboard.
I think It has something to do with the locale version of the 4.3 android os. I heard that different locales have different downloadable language options. But why has mine sudenly changed!

how to get the Samsung keyboard to be the same on both phones. All settings are the same. the new phone's keyboard doesn't have the small punctuation symbols on the letter keys (like the old phone does). I know this may seem like a bit of a ridiculous thing to have an issue with, but I'm kind of... particular... with the way my phone looks and is set up. That, and I find it to be annoying to have to go to the Symbols section of the keyboard to use any form of punctuation.

View 10 Replies View RelatedI'm not sure if this is an android problem, or a samsung i9000 problem, but either way it's an annoying problem that I'd love to find a solution for ?_? I simply cant get the alarm to work for me (overnight. it's fine in the very short term). It appears to be because the clock stops moving/updating when the phone goes to sleep, because when I turn the screen back on I can see that the time is off by multiple hours, depending upon when it stopped updating, and stays that way for a couple of seconds before changing to the correct time.
Things to note here..
I do NOT use a task killer
The alarm volume is up
I have tried the alarm both with and without the Automatic, network provided time setting. The clock still stops moving. I've not updated anything from the standard (UK) firmware
Browsing around the net at work today for Bluetooth Game Controllers, I came across a Mini Bluetooth Keyboard HERE - it's also selling on Ebay. It claims to be compatible with Android, but as we're all learning Android on one phone isn't the same as Android on another.
I'm wondering two things really: 1) Anyone know if it is actually compatible with Android and moreso if it's compatible with HTC Incredible
and 2) If it is compatible, once connected, can you use it in conjunction with Game Emulators (I have the popular one for GBA) so that I could use the buttons on there to play the games.
It's the perfect size for a game controller (too bad they don't also make one for that purpose) and would be much better than the touch screen controls which impede on the game.
