The Keyboard is an Igo Stowaway Ultra-Slim Keyboard.
I've got a wall of text to write so would be good if i could get it working.

Does anyone know a good/working mini bluetooth keyboard (or even micro USB) that works with the Desire without a root. It would be good if it had a dock so it was "attached" to the keyboard, and excellent if it could be used to play games, e.g. SNESOID etc or Quake 3 etc. Micro USB might be better if such a thing exists due to the dodgy nature of the Desire's bluetooth.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a Parrot bluetooth kit in my car that is supposed to sync all the contacts and have phone audio through car speakers worked fine with my old g1 so i know its not the car kit.
none of phones contacts sync with the car kit and after it has been connected and paired to phone audio for about 5 minutes it stays paired but unconnected meaning it doesn't work via the car audio and just rings as normal! why it disconnects itself

Since upgrading to 2.2 the phone has worked find apart from occasionally when I press the full stop when writing a message and then try to delete it by using the backspace key it will not let me which is really annoying and I have to delete all the txt.
View 8 Replies View RelatedBrowsing around the net at work today for Bluetooth Game Controllers, I came across a Mini Bluetooth Keyboard HERE - it's also selling on Ebay. It claims to be compatible with Android, but as we're all learning Android on one phone isn't the same as Android on another.
I'm wondering two things really: 1) Anyone know if it is actually compatible with Android and moreso if it's compatible with HTC Incredible
and 2) If it is compatible, once connected, can you use it in conjunction with Game Emulators (I have the popular one for GBA) so that I could use the buttons on there to play the games.
It's the perfect size for a game controller (too bad they don't also make one for that purpose) and would be much better than the touch screen controls which impede on the game.
Can you use a BT keyboard on the Desire to manage SMS / email and drive web navigation?
View 1 Replies View RelatedWhenever possible I always use the landscape keyboard but have noticed that sometimes in messages (and web browser) that if I spot a mistake and use the trackpad or touch the screen to go back and correct whatever I type on the keyboard will not appear in the text. The keyboard still responds as you can see the popups for the keys when you press them but the text doe not go into the box. The only way I found to cure this is to close and reopen the keyboard and everything then starts working. I am running the recent OTA firmware update on a completely unrooted unbranded Desire.

Im trying to send my contacts over bluetooth from my old sony ericsson but it doesnt seem to be going smoothly, i would say its all down to me! Basically i have got the bluetooth on for both phones, the desire is set to be discoverable and i try to send the contacts via bluetooth on the SE. I get the whole passcode and accept the file which i have done, but then it says again about accepting the file. Ive tried it a few times and i have 3 bluetooth icons at the top of my screen now which i imagine are for transferring files which need accepting. Is there anywhere i can to accept them or close them down?

View 11 Replies View RelatedI've had an HTC Desire on Orange in the UK for about 6 weeks and it is having persistent problem. Firstly despite having a strong 4-bar out of 4 signal, online services and the internet do not work at all when a 3G signal is being received (e.g. news, weather, all widgets, internet, email etc).Calls and texts do work however with a 3G signal.But when a 3g+ signal (HSDPA) is being received, all internet services as above work fine.However, when a 3+ signal is being received, the phone does not make or receive calls or text messages, and often fails to send texts. Calls I make immediately shut down (bleep + �call ended�), and incoming calls from other people go straight to answerphone. Also often when turning the data connection on/off, it freezes and has to be rebooted, and turning airplane setting on and off does not fix the problem.
I have also tried the different network settings (GSM, WCDMA, auto, etc). �GSM� sends and receives calls and texts but doesn�t work (or is incredibly slow) with internet, and �auto� and �WCDMA only� show the problems as above.I don't think this is a network/coverage issues as, as I have seen many people reporting these same issues on other networks and in other parts of the UK, and I have read that other people are having to manually turn off HSDPA to be able to make calls (using an app?). Even if I can stop HSDPA from connecting to make sure the phone works, I still can�t use the internet at all on 3g � even GSM works better!
Finally, when I connect to a bluetooth device (e.g. car and headphones) the phone will connect briefly, and then randomly disconnect. I have also seen this issue reported elsewhere.I very much like the phone and don't want to get rid of it, but these problems are making the phone unuseable.Also I don't know if I should be contacting HTC or Orange about this. Will the upcoming Android 2.2 fix these problems?Anyone know how to fix this or if I need a new handset? Are there any apps that can help? Also does the Nexus One have these problems and are they fixed by Froyo?
If you are like me, you have been impatiently waiting for bluetooth support for keyboards / joysticks specifically the wii controller.Is it just me who wants this or what?I'm on the developer forums all the time and hardly see anyone mention this.All I know is that the nexus supported this feature, but the Evo doesn't. Seems that Sense UI screwed up this capability.HOWEVER, after installing android 2.2, with bluetooth fully functioning it seems that it still doesn't work which leads me to believe that the bluetooth HID profile is missing.

I have an HTC Inspire 4g running Mustaavalkosta's unofficial Cyanogenmod 10.1 ROM. Everything works great, except my Microsoft Bluetooth Mobile Keyboard 5000, which is an HID Bluetooth keyboard (no SPP). I get a proper PIN exchange and it pairs with my phone successfully, but I can't actually type anything with the keyboard, and it does not appear in the Languages and Input section of the Settings app. The keyboard itself is good because I can use it with my laptop and an iPad.
I've tried apps like BlueInput, MyBlueCon, and Bluetooth keyboard easyconnect, but all fail to make a connection with my keyboard. In the case of BlueInput, I get a message that "this Android does not support Bluetooth HID."
I'm trying to pair my bluetooth keyboard, which worked perfectly under Gingerbread, but will not pair under ICS. Basically, the keyboard will not go into pairing mode until I give it a pin, and ICS won't give me the pin until the keyboard is pairing. Is there any way to tell ICS what pin to expect before trying to pair? This is the sequence I am doing:
1. Put keyboard in discoverable mode.
2. Select the keyboard in the bluetooth menu.
3. Type in a pin on the keyboard and hit enter.
4. A dialog comes up on the tablet telling me what pin to use to pair. (I have to type in the pin in the keyboard for this to come up)
5. Pairing fails after about 1/4 of a second.
I was wondering if anyone has tried this combo. Can you plug your phone up to these three things and pop it to a larger screen and use a mouse and keyboard? It would be pretty cool if you could... I see a lot of fun possibilities with that type of setup.
