I got myself a bluetooth FM transmitter for my work van and tested it out today. For receiving and making calls it worked fine with the audio coming out through the car's speakers. But if I play music or my navigation the audio is coming out through the phones speaker (the one on the back) rather than through the cars speakers. I don't know what setting I've got wrong.

Just taken delivery of a UK edition Samsung Galaxy S. Connecting it to my car audio via bluetooth no problems but it drops the 3G/H network connection as soon as it connects to the car. Disconnect the Bluetooth and I get the data connection back. Is this deliberate or a bug? It means I can't receive emails etc whilst in my car unless I turn off Bluetooth.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI have a car stereo with bluetooth.I don't want to start a debate about sound quality of the music through Bluetooth.What I would like to know is if anyone has figured out how to get the music to go through the bluetooth speaker WHILE having the navigation go through the phone speaker.For me that is the optimal situation and would hopefully not have the Navigation interrupt the music instead allow them to both be going on at once.

I have an LG ally and I connect my bluetooth. It's connecting to media audio and I can hear music videos, you tube and my visual VM but not the people I call.
View 4 Replies View RelatedEverytime my phone connects with my car stereo (Clarion FB275btb) it starts to stream music. It even tries to stream if the music player is closed. After I stop the music and and put the stereo into another mode it works fine. If I later get a call it acts normally, but after I end the call it starts to stream music again! Any ideas on what the problem might be? My stereo worked fine with my behold I and nokia 5310.

However when I put a new shortcut on the home screen I get the option of the navigation. But no matter how many times I try, it can't seem to find a route. And I can't find Google Maps on the Market so I can't try upgrading it.

It works perfect, but how can I send audio from the Music Player or from when I am playing a movie? Do I need an App to do it or is there a setting that I am missing somewhere? I still have 2.1, and every time I check for updates to the firmware through the settings menu on the phone, I just get a message that says "No Firmware".
IS Samsung going to update these things to 2.2? ARE they ever going to fix this useless navigation?

View 4 Replies View RelatedWhen I'm using the navigation feature in my galaxy s the screen will turn itself off after some time. The time it takes for the back light to turn off vary each time. The time out setting goes from like 10 seconds to 30 mins, there us no option for never. Is there a way to keep it on? Its very frustrating on long journeys when the screen keeps going off.

View 3 Replies View Relatedi know there are problems with the GPS on this phone. I have read loads of posts and tried changing various settings but am pinning my hopes on Froyo fixing it or else i will seriously be looking at returning phone as not fit for purpose. I am sorry but i feel that having paid ?380 for something advertised as having GPS, maps, navigation etc that i should be able to have this in a usable fashion. I dont want to be told its a phone, sat nav is a bonus. It was advertised and sold as having sat nav and this should be workable. OK sorry rant over, just trying to head off some of the comments i am sure will be posted, anyway back to the problem.
when i start maps or navigation it shows a small radar looking icon in top left hand corner, indicating it is looking for satellites, yet at other times this does not appear and it shows "Searching for GPS" at bottom of screen. The manual states this icon means GPS activated. When it is not showing does this mean that the GPS has not turned on despite maps or Navigation being chosen. I can drive about for an hour with this message showing but navigation not starting. The strange thing is if i have map on the screen it will show my location moving yet still say searching for GPS, if thats the case then how can it update maps, how does it know where i am. I an really annoyed at the lack of this function (can you tell). Thanks for any insight into this.
I Just got galaxy a few days ago, that's my first android and I'm really happy with it (especially after flashing to drakaz's ROM). But, there's one issue though: Since I'm using a motorcycle as my main vehicle, I'd like to mount the phone above the gauges and use my H350 For voice navigation when using GPS/phone calls/music.
(GPS navigation is the main reason for doing this). I've managed to pair the headset with my phone, under settings. I see my H350 with the following status: "Connected to phone audio". But still, except making phone calls, I can't hear music/any other audio with my bluetooth headset, it comes out of the phone's speaker instead. Is there any workaround/hidden setting I didn't see? I'm using "waze" for GPS btw.
So the stock music player has the 5.1 setting, which to me makes a huge difference over other players. How many of you feel trapped into using it because it sounds better, like me? i wish I could get the same option on other players
View 16 Replies View RelatedOn my Samsung Galaxy S3, a peculiar icon has appeared in the navigation bar (see the top-left corner in the image below):
It seemed to have appeared at about the time I put in my SD card, but removing my SD card (and restarting) has not shooed the icon away. Furthermore, the icon seems to prevent any other icons being shown (i.e. I am forced to pull down the bar when checking for new notifications).
There is no explanation for the icon in the notification window, and clearing the notifications does nothing.
I tried using Google Goggles on a cropped screenshot of the icon but no images were returned. what the icon represents and how it may be removed?
So i didn't put any unofficial software,in other words,everything is as it came out of the store (except lots of apps ofc. the problem is that i doesn't play any sound when i want to play music,or with some app (without headphones,when i have them then it's normal) but when someone calls me or i set an alarm then it plays perfectly normal so i'm confused...it's obvious that speaker is not broken.
Then today suddenly i can't hear anything when i'm in a call,and the person from the other side also doesn't hear me,i also don't know why is that...i'm not an expert for this kinda things and actually i'm quite knew in this world.

I cant find any way to disable it short of turning off BT and I dont want to do that as I play Slacker through BT. Is there an option Ive missed to disable autoplaying of music?

Has anyone else noticed that audio and video aren't in sync? Or is it just my phone?! Literally, in every video i play audio is a fraction of a second out of sync when compared to video. Tried with 720p, brrips 720p, dvdrips, and even ordinary hdtvrips, and it happens in every single one of them. Also happens when playing some games, or even when i'm playing 720p video that i recorded minutes ago. I'm currently using Doc's XWJPA, and previously have been using stock XWJPA. Same thing happened on both.
Has anybody else experienced something like that, and how to fix it?

I listen to a lot of music, and just had a really bad experience with the HTC Desire (lots of hiss and network interference).
The Samsung S looks the business, but poor audio will be a deal breaker when it comes to moving from my iPhone 3G.

(I am deaf in one ear and thus missing one channel) I could buy a stereo->mono plug or I could buy this 'Super BT Mono Pro' app for $ 6,-. But shouldn't this be a normal setting in such a hightech Android phone? Or an app setting like the VLC desktop player has a mono option. The Super BT Mono Pro app shows it is possible, but I wan't to do it myself. Is it a setting in de Service Mode Menu or will it be an new option in Android 3.0?
