Can you use a BT keyboard on the Desire to manage SMS / email and drive web navigation?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm sure this subject has been beat to death, but I was bored earlier this evening and decided to do some experimentation. I was interested in finding a good program with which to sync play lists, music, pictures, movies, etc. As it turns out, Media GO works really well. I have been using it as my default music player for some time now because of the "Sense Me" play list option. I'm still pretty new here and I hadn't seen anything posted regarding this program and it's INC compatibility.

So the question is why? It appears this device is not compatible with the SaskTel 3G+ network. If you believe your device should be compatible and the tool does not recognize it, please bring it to a SaskTel store or authorized dealer for more information.
View 2 Replies View RelatedDoes anyone know a good/working mini bluetooth keyboard (or even micro USB) that works with the Desire without a root. It would be good if it had a dock so it was "attached" to the keyboard, and excellent if it could be used to play games, e.g. SNESOID etc or Quake 3 etc. Micro USB might be better if such a thing exists due to the dodgy nature of the Desire's bluetooth.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI was recently hired to work on mobile Ajax applications. This is the first time I do this, as I always worked on usual Ajax sites on common web browsers. I'd need a framework and possibly a toolkit that works both on IPhone and Android... capable of abstracting the mobile browser the same way jQuery does with desktop browsers. I've seen JQTOUCH, but it seems very much IPhone oriented. I'd like something more cross platform and lighter. Do you have any idea?

The Keyboard is an Igo Stowaway Ultra-Slim Keyboard.

I would like to see if there is anyway of changing the keyboard layout on the magic to the abc version if so how do you do it?
also is there any good games or apps that anyone knows?

Since Bluetooth is sketchy on the Hero, I figure it would be useful to have a list of peoples' experiences with different devices. If you have a Bluetooth device, please reply with it's manufacturer, name, the exact OS you are using, and how well it works. I'll try to keep this post updated.

I connect my GNex via MHL to my TV. I also have a Nexus 7. Is there any possible way to use my N7 as a remote control/bluetooth keyboard to control my GNex? Run a VNC Server on the phone and a VNC Viewer on the tablet, but this is laggy.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI've got a cheap Speedlink bluetooth mouse from eBay and it works fine with a PC; it pairs up nicely with my Desire HD (running RCMix3d Runny v1.3 ROM) too.
Oddly however, the icon in the 'bluetooth settings' page is not of a mouse, it's an icon of a keyboard.
Pair it up and there's no mouse pointer; move the mouse to the right and the homescreen moves to the next screen - left and you go to the left screen.
Seems my mouse is recognised as a keyboard, oddly enough only emulating the arrow keys. When running Cyanogen 7, it was recognised as a mouse - so what's different here?
Is there anyway of jimmying Android to recognise my mouse as a mouse and not a keyboard?
I was wondering if anyone knew if you could use a bluetooth keyboard like the dinovo mini with the dell streak with the captivate.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI currently have the Samsung Galaxy (I7500). I have it for a year+ now. A couple of months ago I wanted to buy the Desire, but I decided its too early for an upgrade (big mistake). It's very hard for me to keep waiting for the perfect device since I hate my galaxy so much. So my question is which phone would you recommend?
IPhone 4 no way ofcourse, Samsung Galaxy S no way cause Samsung really screwed things up with the original galaxy (and it has no Flash), which leaves me with HTC Desire HD or Desire Z. The DHD has an extremely weak battery, and I want my next phone to last a day (moderate user). So, is the Desire Z worth the money? The things that bother me with the Desire Z are:
1. Weight - It weigh 180 grams! Thats sick, way too much. (the Desire is about 135, which isn't light, but not heavy either)
2. Battery life - I'm not sure how long does it last under moderate usage.
3. Size - its quite big, and its especially because of the keyboard, which I don't really need / care about. So, Whats your opinion?
Im sure I saw on a thread that someone had 'Lets play Golf' by Gameloft on their Desire. This post on the Gameloft Forum suggests that Gameloft games are not compatible.Gameloft HD Games for Desire and others? Can someone please confirm that these games will work on the Desire ?

The stock Android keyboard is pretty inaccurate for me.If it wasn't for word prediction and correction it would be a real nightmare to use. Samsung keyboard is okay but the space bar is way too small, I end up typing.words.like.this.I'm really diggin' SWYPE.It seems real fast and pretty accurate. Was just wondering if there was a better alternative to the stock Android keyboard that comes in the form of a downloadable app or such?I have seen the Droid X keyboard available somewhere.

View 9 Replies View RelatedI bought my HTC Desire a few weeks ago in Korea and I have trouble with the keyboard detecting my touch properly. I tried to go calibrate the damn thing but when I go into Settings<language and keyboard the only options available are Select Local which leads to either Korean or English language and DioPen IME which leads to a bunch of options but none of which are keyboard calibrate. Is there anyway for me to calibrate the keyboard? I've tried downloading different keyboards from the market to see if they work better but when I select them in the language and keyboard folder they still don't work so I don't know what to do.

View 6 Replies View RelatedI have a weird issue with my Desire and my Ford Mondeo Bluetooth audio system. The Phone bonds with the car audio system no problem, receives calls etc., exactly as expected - and after a recent (unexpected), update to my cars radio firmware I can use the bluetooth audio feature which controls my media player in the handset from the steering wheel controls! No problems, Except! Even when I'm not using the bluetooth audio feature - i.e. listening to the cars radio or ipod etc., the audio from the desire still gets routed to the car audio system, effectively muting the phone. So when I use the navigation within the phone I get no audible routing directions, even if I switch the cars radio to play the bluetooth audio I still can't really hear the navigation because the inbuilt htc audio player refuses to stop playing (the car keeps unpausing the device). It would be nice to disable the bluetooth audio and leave only the phone connection but can't seem to figure out if that's even possible.
