A not so helpful pop up help box I selected on the navigation screen tells me I can pair my BlueAnt ST3 with the Sprint Nav but doesn't tell me how. I searched google and the forum with no luck. My phone is already paired with the BlueAnt for calls. Does any one know how to get the Sprint Nav audio to the BlueAnt instead of the phone speaker?

What is difference between "Navigation" and "Sprint Navigation" apps?Newby to the smart phone, and am still trying to understand this "app" stuff.The "Navigation" app is a blue arrow, and is the one I use for map and voice navigation.The "Sprint Navigation" app seems to do the same thing in a much more belabored manner.Are these both Sprint, or what?Why two similar apps?Is one supposed to do something that the other doesn't. I don't get it.
View 15 Replies View RelatedI have an HTC Desire, just upgraded to 2.2 (seems a bit slower) and I would like to have the navigation instructions routed through bluetooth to come through the car stereo speakers. Now I know this can be done with A2DP but I was wondering if it can be made to work over HFP?
Over A2DP it works but it means you cannot listen to any of the in-car sources like CD or radio as you have to have it permanently switched to bluetooth audio to hear the instructions. If it was over HFP, the car stereo would mute whatever source you were listening to so it could play the navigation instruction. Is there a way to make this work, or an app to download?
My google navigation will "skip" when I use it with my car stereo's bluetooth. The first second of every turn-by-turn direction, is missing. Any ideas on with the problem might be? I have an HTC EVO and my car stereo is the Dual XHD7714. When I use Pandora with bluetooth, everything is perfect, no skipping; even google navigation works great too when it is running with Pandora. However, when i run google navigation by itself with bluetooth, the first second is missing. Thank you in advanced and sorry if this question has already been answered. I tried to search for it but could not find any mention of it.
View 1 Replies View Relatedive got a nokia blue tooth kit in my car and my desire is paired with it. it works thru the car speakers for voice calls but nothing else (lots of echo tho) but my old phone used to give navigation over the speakers too. it would even interupt my in car cd player to give directions then continue playing cd audio. any idea ? looked in my phone settings but cant see anything
View 1 Replies View RelatedI drive a VW Jetta with bluetooth, which has easily paired with my last two phones (Bionic and S4, respectively). While Google map's turn-by-turn map navigation works fine with my phone's bluetooth on, in so far as I can see directions on the map, the navigation voice is disabled. Only when my phone's bluetooth is off do I hear a voice. I'm not sure if this is a function of my phone or my car.

View 10 Replies View RelatedI have a car stereo with bluetooth.I don't want to start a debate about sound quality of the music through Bluetooth.What I would like to know is if anyone has figured out how to get the music to go through the bluetooth speaker WHILE having the navigation go through the phone speaker.For me that is the optimal situation and would hopefully not have the Navigation interrupt the music instead allow them to both be going on at once.

For receiving and making calls it worked fine with the audio coming out through the car's speakers. But if I play music or my navigation the audio is coming out through the phones speaker (the one on the back) rather than through the cars speakers. I don't know what setting I've got wrong.

I realized that the cause of this issue was due to the fact that I recently paired my phone with my cars blue tooth. I turned it off and could hear the GPS. I was with a friend of mine driving and told her I needed to get a GPS (with all the times I'm getting lost, etc.)She has a Palm Pre and told me I have Sprint Navigation.I had no clue.I've even heard this was exclusive to Sprint.With all the marketing, and talk about 2.1 with GPS Navigation, how could I not have known about this wonderful App on my Android HTC Hero?

Wow, this thing is just as good as my friend's Garmin! Except it's built into the phone which means one less device to carry around. GPS lock is near instantaneous and directions have been spot on!I'm thoroughly pleased I didn't waste the money on a dedicated unit.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI was cleaning all the crap off my phone I don't use anymore and I believe I accidently removed the bluetooth software that allows it to connect to stereo bluetooth headsets. I can control the player with the headset, I can make phone calls from it, but when I try to play music there is no sound.
I was trying to reset the phone using RUU, but it reboots the phone and then says it cannot reconnect after that and the software shuts down. I can still sync with outlook, so my driver is not the issue. I am out of ideas.
Is there anyway possible to reinstall just the bluetooth portion of the rom?
Is their any way to output the voice prompts from google navigation to my normal bluetooth handsfree? It works fine for phone calls, but id like it to cut the music and prompt me for turns etc.

View 4 Replies View RelatedHas anyone else noticed their sprint navigation messing up?Sometimes its slow, and when it isn't slow it recalculates and tells me i'm on a different road than i am.Sometimes it will just go back but sometimes i have to manually hit recalculate route.Someone else stated that they had this problem with their instinct also.My google maps location cannot be found either though it just keeps saying unavaliable and when i used the progra Where, i selected find me by gps and that doesn't work either.I hope this can be fixed or this would be a dealbreaker for me, i use gps ALOT.

Moto Q9c uses Window Mobile 6, so there are pretty many good apps for navigation. But, my question is should I use Sprint navigation apps? I have used 2 or 3 free nav apps on my Q9c. But, it seems like everyone is using Sprint nav on Moment. The problem is Sprint Nav is not free for me. I should pay for it because I am using SERO plan, and SERO plan does not include Sprint Nav plan. It costs me $10 per month!!! $100 can buy a good nav from Garmin or TomTom. I searched this forum, and there is one more nav app: Google map. But, it looks having some problems on it. Is it fixed? or it is still like that? I should use a navigation app, and have to choose Paying Sprint app or Buying a Garmin GPS if there is no good nav app on Moment. but I want to save money, so I ask your experience about google map or other nav apps. Is it useful after upgrade to 2.0 OS? Any suggestions or tips are appreciated. I don't want to pay $10 for Sprint Nav.

View 4 Replies View RelatedEarlier this weekend me and a couple of friends took a trip north to one of our favorite oyster farms for some good oyster. On the way up there I volunteered to use my gps on my phone to guide us there. Using the Sprint Nav app while we started to hit the mountains I lost signal on my phone and when that happened the app reverted back to showing me a guesstimate of where to turn and then it said eventually its said "could not cannot connect to server" or something similar. So we were basically driving blind and I was looking like my Evo wasnt worth the I payed for. What do you guys do in events like these where you get stuck in the booneys trying to navigate without a cell signal?

View 17 Replies View RelatedSo this just started happening. It has happened a few times now. I go to open Sprint Navigation the phone will reboot itself. Once it is rebooted it will load up fine. Once the phone has been on for a while same thing will happen again. Haven't noticed it in any other programs but very annoying.Anyone else have the same problem and know a way to fix it?
View 43 Replies View RelatedThis phone has a great feature that i wish I had on my Pre. After searching for something in google it allows you to search for it with Sprint Navigation. Problem is that when I hit Sprint Nav it says the destination is "null" and I still have to manually type it all out which sucks for driving. In "maps" the destination address is already filled in. Is there a way to fix this or a setting needed to have the address input automatically in sprint nav?
