Over the last couple of days I have noticed that some applications have started going straight to SD? I have not followed the procedure favored on here for forcing applications to SD (yet). So why are they doing it? Its not a problem as I was going to move them anyway.

Whenever i am in an app or the browser, randomly at times my phone will just go straight to the homescreen. I do not hit the home button at all, it just goes there by itself. This happens on any screen, whether im browsing my pics, taking a pic, or browsing the net. Does anyone else have this issue? I noticed it started after the new update from htc.

I know that u can get stock Android through rooting and downloading the file. But I'm asking if it's ever possible to receive OTA update straight from Google without being altered by HTC and the service provider.
View 5 Replies View RelatedThere have been numerous times when people have tried to phone me and it's gone straight to voicemail. I know when using GPRS you can't use voice and data at the same time but I can't figure out what's using the data stream. I only have the weather application which updates every 3 hours but even when it's not due an update this issue has occurred. Can anyone suggest how to figure out what's using data? The only fix I can think of is to turn off Internet while in a GPRS area assuming the problem is a clash of data / voice.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI was using the camera this morning and after a few seconds the screen started flickering, it then turned a shade of purple and the view split so the bottom of the picture appeared at the top. I rebooted the phone and it was fine for about 30 seconds and then did the same. Second reboot and it appears to be ok. Just wondering if anyone else has had this issue? All software is as standard the phone has not been rooted (yet).

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have an unbranded unaltered HTC Desire Android Version 2.2 baseband Version 32.43.00.32U_5.09.00.20 Kernel Version 2.6.32.15-gf9c0527 htc-kernel@and18-2 #1 Build number 2.09.405.8 CL218634 release-keys Software number 2.09.405.8 Where do I start, bought it from CPW in May, no issues, no problems no reboots. Upgraded to Froyo last week and its doing my head in. I use the Google Navigation a lot, problem is now it keeps rebooting. Today I entered an address and it gained then lost GPS reception, took ages to get it back, then when it did it only lasted a few minutes then rebooted the Desire. I restarted navigation and it may pick up GPS then few seconds later reboot itself again, drove me nuts, to the point where I gave up and used OVI maps on my Nokia. On the way home 120 mile journey, entered the address and navigation was ok for about 20 minutes then it kept rebooting. Occasionally it would navigate for a couple of minutes then reboot itself, this again drove me nuts.
I then tried to eliminate possibilities and drove 1 hour with the Desire and Google maps on, but not navigating i.e just showing my movement on the road, I kept scrolling the screen to make sure the arrow was always shown, it worked faultless, no reboots data was downloading ok to form the route maps. I then put the navigation back on, and low and behold started rebooting and loosing GPS reception. This is driving me mad, as I need the navigation, everything else works ok with no issues. Is anyone else having any problems? HTC deny there is any known faults on the Desire, I am not going to put up with this, it is not fit for purpose. I think it must be software not hardware, but I am not sure, any help advice gratefully received.
About a month ago my HTC Desire started overheating and shutting off after about 5 minutes of web browsing. I've rooted it and all but I dont have a backup of the original recovery and unrooted stock ROM (for telus). Today it felt like it was going to catch on fire while it was in my pocket (it wasnt being used as I was in the middle of a class). I figure that I cant wait any longer for Telus to release an update that would allow me to unroot my phone so can anyone who has a stock telus desire please send me a backup of their stock ROM!
View 5 Replies View Relatedi have 3 accounts set up on the phone, blueyonder(virgin media) hotmail and gmail. I use my blueyonder account for my job and it is important that emails reach me in a timely manner, i have come from a blackberry so no probs there. The porblem i am having is the dont always come through straight away, i have the phone set to check server every 5 mins, yesterday evening at 18.00 i received 9 mails all at once which had been sent from 14.00 onwards in the afternoon. I have also have had it when emails have come through a day late. Does anyone get the same problems, is this a phone problem or a virgin media problem, i suppose it could be a connection problem but i have wifi at my home and this was on from when i got home.

So this makes a Path with 2 points, the player's position and and touch coords. My question is - How can you access points on this line? For example, if I wanted to get the x,y coords of the Projectile at the half point of the line, or the point the Projectile would be at after 100 ticks (moving at a speed of X pixels/tick)? I also need the Projectile to continue moving after it reaches the final point. Do I need to use line.addPath(line) to keep extending the Path?
I managed to get the Projectiles moving in a straight line, but they're going in strange directions. I had to fudge some code up:

The Angle must be the problem. I'm using this method, which works perfectly:

I have put this as an option on one of my contacts and none of the calls are going straight to voicemail. For those who don't know, you can have a contact go straight to voicemail when they call. Its an option on the peoples app.

All the apps I have downloaded to my Pulse are backed up onto my SD card. Can I just pop my card into my new Desire and use Astro (or some such thing) to copy them all or do I need to start again from scratch?

It appears that it only wants to download some applications with most kicking back a "Download Unsuccessful" including some that I have purchased before.
I am running 2.1 -update 1 right out of the box software number 1.19.161.5
I've tried a factory reset with still no avail.
I'm trying to download it using my wireless router which I'm sitting right beside so signal is no problem.
The last update to File Manager included an applications manager too. It enables you to backup* and uninstall applications.
On the applications list 'Maps' is in there twice, both 4.3.0 installed on 2010-07-06 and both 4102KB. Would I actually have two copies installed? I'm not that keen on the idea of uninstalling one to find out for obvious reasons! this seems to put them onto the SD card which is quite useful
When i press the button to get up all the applications in a tile veiw is there anyway i can remove certain things from here without deleting them, or atleast put them in a folder?
View 2 Replies View RelatedFor some reason, my Pone does not ring when there is incoming calls. I ported my number on Thursday and on Friday, I had rings with incoming calls. But since yesterday, I have not heard any rings. Calls are going straight to VM. I thought it was a Google Voice thing. GV is known to have this problem in the past.) Then, I disabled my cell number from GV and calls are directed to the Verizon VM. I have not changed any settings.
