I've just upgraded from my E71 to the Desire & when I put my sim card in, there are sms messages on it. The Desire keeps telling me my sim is full. How do I transfer those sms messages to the memory card, without deleting them? Also how do I add contacts from my sim to the favorites section on the Home page?

I would like a small contacts shortcut on my main home page. The only one I have is sunder favorites on another page and it takes up the whole page. So how do I add a smaller contacts shortcut to my main page?

I have found that it is not very accurate; my friend's app on his iphone (Yahoo, I believe) is better. Can you change the standard one on the HD? I can't find any way to change it. Can someone tell me how to edit what this button does...when i hold the bottom part of it on the "name part" it just gives me different options on how to sms.

However, when I go to the dialer page the phone shows both phone contacts and SIM contacts resulting in multiple duplicate contacts from where I copied from SIM to Phone when I first got the handset. Does anyone know how I can do the same as the 'people' app and get the dialer to only show phone contacts?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have the tronsmart CX-919 mini pc running 4.2 and there is an issue with the browser reverting back to the home page or the previous page. When I try to display a webpage on our intranet it reverts back to the homepage or previous page after about 3 hours. I need it to display constantly. I read somewhere that it was a Download Manager issue and disabling it would work but I can't find where to disable it. Also it was stated that Flash was an issue but i tried uninstalling it and it just reinstalled itself and the problem kept occurring. I just want to display a page in a browser and for it to stay on the screen (full screen) until I manually navigate away from it. I plan to leave it on for weeks at a time.

And that's cool, that really work!
Now I would like to do something different: I have seen that some actions can "register" somewhere to be added in the Android menu, when you long press on the Home like this one:

So my main question is the next one:
How is that possible to register for this menu. I guess there is some line to add in the manifest, but cannot see where to do that!
There is a secondary question: once i will have succeed doing that, may I add a different number of shortcuts in my menu ( imagine That I would like to do that for a multi-account twitter client, I would like to see a different for each twitter account in this list.) So the number of shortcut is programmaticaly computed.
Why is it every time I go to the internet, the last page viewed shows? I have my home page set to "Google." Shouldn't Google be the page that shows up? Also, it seems to save the history, even after I delete history, cookies, caches. Why? I was told to try and keep this, as well as deleted email, empty or the phone may become slow.

I have one GMail account synced to my EVO. When I open up 'People' all my contacts I added through GMail are there. Looks great.
However, when I go to the Favorites widget and click + to add a contact to the widget, I get a list of pretty much everyone I've ever sent an email to through my GMail account. I only want my real contacts to show up there, I don't need the dude listed there that I sold my blender to on Craigslist from 5 years ago.
Can you do this on the phone?I don't see a way to add contacts to a group.

Although she wants it to be small so I did my research and all I came up with is the Wildfire.However I've read that the screen resolution is much lower than on the Desire. Is that a real problem? I mean, does it really hinder the pleasure and ease of use that you get out of a smartphone?Is the Wildifre a good choice overall, especially for someone who doesn't really need a hugely powerful device?

Now I am almost sure I opened the Market since I have been back home and remember seeing the "paid" apps section with the prices in euros.Now when I access the market I don't have a "paid" apps section. Is it as simple as that the market may not be available in Gibraltar? or am i doing something wrong here.
