I Want ot delete favorite ans still leave it in contacts how do I do that . It is also adding some contacts into favorites that I don't want in favorites.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have 2 gmail accounts. Unfortunately, one of them is for my calendar and contacts and the other is for my personal e-mail. As of now, my cal and contacts are syncing fine but I do not use the e-mail account that is associated with thier username. I have my other account (personal e-mail) set up sepeartely....along with a few other e-mail accounts(work and etc.). I would like to know if i can leave my cal and contacts setup on the regular droid sync account but change the e-mail account to my personal acct. so it will "push" by default with out having it in a seperate palce on the droid. I know this is confusing but i dont know how else to explian it.

View 3 Replies View RelatedHere is what my Contacts look like in Gmail (See below). I imported phone numbers from old phone to the group "Phone Contacts" then got rid of old people and moved them to "Old Phone Contacts". I have it set to only show the 98 Phone Contacts in my contacts on the Droid. (Display Options - Only select "Phone Contacts") Then Facebook only updates those contacts. Then I tried to add a contact on the phone. New Contact --> then selected my google account to add it to. It would then add it to "My Contacts" and not a specific group. So when I go to my contacts in the phone i do not see the new contact because it is not in the "Phone Contacts" group.
See the problem? I tried to see if I could add the new contact to the group on setup of the contact. Nope. Any ideas on how best to do this? It is a real bummer.

Came over to the X from a Storm 2, the verizon rep brought over my blackberry contacts to the X.The problem is, when i go to phone, these numbers show up, but if i go in thru contacts it only shows contacts i have setup since i purchased the phone.I did a search and could not find this exact problem, any other former BB users have this problem?
View 10 Replies View RelatedWhenever I add a photo to a contact, then put the contact in the Favorites widget, the picture blurs/pixelizes/generally looks like crap.
I was syncing the pictures with the ones in my Gmail contacts, but I then came across this thread in the Incredible forum. However, the solution given there (manually loading the pictures on the SD card and then choosing them from the Gallery) will only work for a short time. Within a few hours, the picture in the Favorites widget goes to hell again.
I thought it might have something to do with the Google sync, but I just did a manual sync, and it didn't affect the picture at all.
My only clue is that when I go into the profile page for a contact that's in the widget, the (smaller) picture in the upper left corner looks fine. But when I go into the edit page, the picture looks terrible, like it does in the widget, until I save again. Also, if while in edit mode, I choose the contact picture from the Gallery again, the picture resets in the Favorites widget. For a while.
Since it was happening with the Incredible, it appears to be a Sense or Android issue rather than an Evo-specific one. Is it too much to ask that my friends and family look as smooth and sharp as the perky models in the sample Favorites widget?
Is there a way to make it so that the facebook contacts, etc, don't show up in your default contact list? I just want to show the names and phone numbers of the people that I have actually programmed into my phone, not everyone that I have on facebook.
View 5 Replies View RelatedNothing seems to be working, so I figured I would give this a shot. I have a new Droid 2 from Verizon and it is a Motorola phone. ALL my Google contacts have been dumped on the phone. I have already verified that is ALL contacts, not just "My Contacts" and there doesn't seem to be any way to get it to just My Contacts.
I tried creating a group in the GMail contacts list for just the phone numbers I wanted, but there is zero way to get to that list. The only options I have when I open up Contacts in terms of filtering is All Contacts/Google contacts/Phone contacts. (The latter has no contacts in it because I prefer to have my phone numbers synced as a backup.)
My contact list is so large that when I go to text someone or pull up the contact list, it takes about five minutes for the list to propagate. All I want is my own user-defined list -- and have NO other contacts on the phone (not just filtered out, although I would take that, but not existing, period). The GMail app would be able to find any other contact anyways, so I don't need it in the actual phone book. I've looked everywhere on Google and it seems like no solutions out there seem to exist for me. All I want is to limit my contact list. I used to have Facebook and Twitter under Social Networking as well, but that just made my contacts list even worse so I got rid of those. Ideally I would like to get these back as well and just have them leave my contacts list alone.
I installed the latest Facebook app on my Droid today and found that it synced most of my contact photos beautifully. (I chose the second option: only to sync photos with my current contacts) However, one minor issue and two less minor issues:
- For one of my contacts, the picture didn't sync. Dunno why but I guess I can just add the photo manually.
- Another thing is weird. After making a call I've noticed that in my dialer's "favorites" tab, there is a contact who I am friends with on Facebook but whom I do not have the number for, nor whom I have ever called at all! This person keeps reappearing (with FB profile pic and email address) in my dialer app, but the person is not in my actual Google / Android contacts.
Any ideas on how to fix that latter issue? Whenever I delete this person's listing from the Favorites tab, they keep reappearing after I make calls (to other people) O_o
Oh, and since we're talking about the Facebook app..
- Is there any way for Facebook to use the Android notification system to let me know about any new FB notifications? As it is, I'll be on the computer and see some new notifications, but on my Droid I have to manually refresh notifications in the app before it knows about them. Kinda weird.
So the one and only thing that I have to complain about with this phone is the serious lag when you tap a favorite person on the contacts widget. Its like a 3 second lag everytime. Any good apps on the market that would replace this widget? I love this phone!
View 10 Replies View RelatedI entered a friend into my contact list and added him to my Favorites widget. I want to remove him from my favorites widget now, but not from my contacts list. How do I do this? It keeps deleting the entire contact. I've edited the contact and removed him from Favorites group and I've gone into People, Groups, & removed the contact from Favorites but when I go to my contact list, he doesn't show up anymore. Why?! If I go to the Favorites widget and add a new favorite then the contact shows up again. But if I just open up people and scroll down-no contact showing up!
View 4 Replies View RelatedAfter playing with my Incredible for many many many hours, just found a really sweet trick.In the favorites widget i have people with multiple numbers(cell, phone), and when you click on that person it calls the primary number, but last night i found that if you click the actual name of the contact(right under the actual pic) a detail properties pop up for that contact and from there you can callsmsemail the person via other numbers.now back to looking for more cool things

View 1 Replies View RelatedOK, heres the dealio. I have used root explorer to rename numerous .apk's to .bak's. All have nicely removed themselves from my app drawer...except for blockbuster. Anyone else with this issue or know how to resolve it. it is just sitting there smiling at me and it is useless now. If I tap to open it say it can't...no duh DX...I just renamed it...so why are you still here?? I have also already done a battery pull.
View 9 Replies View RelatedI have one GMail account synced to my EVO. When I open up 'People' all my contacts I added through GMail are there. Looks great.
However, when I go to the Favorites widget and click + to add a contact to the widget, I get a list of pretty much everyone I've ever sent an email to through my GMail account. I only want my real contacts to show up there, I don't need the dude listed there that I sold my blender to on Craigslist from 5 years ago.
On one of my pages i have a favorites tab thing and whenever i click to add a contact it cant find no one. I have people in my contacts list so i don't get it.

I hit dialer to get back but it just shows the dialer and none of those options. I have to wait for the other person to hang up first to even end the call.
