I was trying to add contact favorites to the second home page (scrolling to the right home page) and I accidentally dragged the " + " button to the trash. Therefore I'm unable to add additional contacts to the page. Any ideas besides a hard factory reset?

I added some of my contacts to my favorites thinking I could change the order they appear in like you can on the iPhone. It doesn't appear this is possible. Is that something I'm missing or an app that can do this?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI got the OTA 2.2 update pushed to my first generation Verizon Droid this morning. Nice new homescreens, love the apps menu, USB tethering option even showed up in my settings menu as selectable. BUT, nether my Dolphin Browser HD or the stock browser can connect to the Internet via 3g anymore (they work on WiFi though). It worked fine before the update. After TWO hours on the phone with Verizon (one Customer Service guy and two Tech support guys, one of those a "Droid support" person), their solution: Factory Reset to 2.1 and don't update it if it asks again. All other 3g Internet based services work fine: SMS, Facebook, Marketplace, News apps, etc. I mean COME ON Verizon! "The glitch is with Froyo and our mobile network but there's really nothing we can do". "The update is pushed by Motorola" "There is a second OTA update supposed to be coming in early September" Folks, is this 2.2 update really this faulty? Or is this maybe just my particular phone? I was also having an issue with my GPS no longer working for several weeks before the update. They couldn't figure anything out for that so they agreed to send me a new phone, which they said will have 2.1 on it. Since I'm traveling next week, I am reluctant to accept another OTA update. Any opinions about whether I should?.......

I couldn't find this widget anywhere in 2.1. Also, is there any app/widget that is similar to the one im talking about from 1.5?
I have the tronsmart CX-919 mini pc running 4.2 and there is an issue with the browser reverting back to the home page or the previous page. When I try to display a webpage on our intranet it reverts back to the homepage or previous page after about 3 hours. I need it to display constantly. I read somewhere that it was a Download Manager issue and disabling it would work but I can't find where to disable it. Also it was stated that Flash was an issue but i tried uninstalling it and it just reinstalled itself and the problem kept occurring. I just want to display a page in a browser and for it to stay on the screen (full screen) until I manually navigate away from it. I plan to leave it on for weeks at a time.

View 8 Replies View RelatedI'm using an Eris at the moment, and favorites that were populated by default shows a card and prompts me for the desired action. I realize that selecting the name below the icon allows me to choose different actions, but I have very poor accuracy in trying to tap on just the name, so for contacts that I've added that I'm forced to choose a default action, it's very difficult for me to choose an alternate action.
The instruction manual says to "press and hold" the contact to change the default action, but that selects the entire widget to move or discard.
Does anyone know how to change the default action to prompt me each time I open a specific favorite contact?
I've seen this question for the Hero too, but with no answers. Posted on the HTC forum, but that's looking rather un-promising.
My wife's phone - which is a ZTE Blade running 2.2 - is losing it's favorites in the contacts manager each time it syncs to Google Contacts.
I looked up her Google Contacts [URL] and there is no "Starred in Android" group, as it should be. I think it should be automatically created when she fovorites a contac in her phone. But instead, it deletes the starring of the contacts in the phone each time it syncs.
I did a search and when you type in .PDF the search doesn't find anything. I'm sure its because of it being a short word.
I have a .PDF I would like to put possibly on one of my home screens as a shortcut. I plugged my Cliq into my computer and put the document in the memory card, but can't navigate to it through the phone. The only way I can find this file is if I open up Beamreader.
I have an old A855 Motorola sometimes when I go to mobile web I can't get back to my home page I read you have to use the back key to close the web and it just shows the same page over and over. I am a newbie to Droid, so I don't know if I am doing something wrong or what.

View 3 Replies View RelatedThis is hard to explain, but all the videos i show for the droid x shows that when you finger scroll through screen left to right and you get that little thing that pops up on the bottom where you can tap the dots to take you to certain home screens.in that same video i see that the phone arrow for apps and contacts icons move out of site while the dots pop up. until you let go then the navigation dots dissapear and the phone arrow for all apps and contacts icons slide back up.The same thing for deleting an app, when i see someone in the droid x video tap and hold and drag down to bottom to delete the phone, contacts and all apps moves out of the way.

How do I change it to show our current location? I have tried adding cities in the Weather app.
