Does anyone know who supplies the pre-installed weather app on the Home page of the Desire HD? I have found that it is not very accurate; my friend's app on his iphone (Yahoo, I believe) is better. Can you change the standard one on the HD? Also the standard app does not support many towns in the UK.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI hope this is the right section to post this, I have an HTC / G2 on a T-Mobile UK contract. I'm after a good weather forecast app that works well for the UK and Europe. I also use WeatherPro on my iPOD Touch (when I can link up to my home WiFi) and it is great - it picks up small towns, gives 5 day forecasts, 24 hour forecasts broken down into 3 hour time slots, shows satellite and radar, temperatures in 'F and 'C, windspeed and direction. It is very accurate too! I can't find it on the Android Market though.

I love the HTC weather widget, but want to be able to see other weather related items like % chance of rain, hourly etc. I have weather.com's install as a supplement to HTC's, but I'd rather have something all inclusive. View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm the happy owner of an Hero since one week but I have an "issue" with the Weather widget, the widget itself and the info under the clock in the home page. I live in France but I work in another country, I've not enabled auto data roaming as it costs a lot. Problem is that at 6:30am for instance the forecasts are updated, then I cross the border, data mode becomes disable and then 6h after, the logo still shows a moon and the 7C based on 6:30 update. And it stays in this useless state until 6pm when I leave the roaming mode returning to France.
How can I make the 2 widgets showing estimated forecast (looks like 3 days are available) even if no update is possible ? Before the Hero I was using a Winphone with SBP Mobile Shell and the weather widget was taking care of the time of the day to change the logo/forecast even not connected. If not possible with the HTC, could you point me to a weather widget more "clever" than this one?

I have found that most of the weather Widgets either look very pretty or are functional and accurate. Never both! I have yet to find one that does both well. I really like the weather apparently and have tri ed a bunch of them.but have yet to find one u really really like. Weather bug is accurratr but the widget is kind of boring. The weather Widgets widget looks great on my desktop but is innacurate and gets a lot of forecast error messages.

What I mean is, when I tap the weather icon to open up the forecast, it would be nice if that triggered a refresh of the weather data, regardless of what my refresh intervals are. I know that I can go to menu and click refresh, but it seems like this would be a nice toggle option. I went to the BW website but didn't see an email option or some way to suggest this. Anyone know how to contact them? Twitter?

View 3 Replies View RelatedI have an Eris and running 2.1 (not rooted) Just started using Launcher Pro. One problem to resolve. I installed Beautiful Widgets - Home as I thought it acted the same as it does on HTC Sense. The location is good, the time is good but when I touch the weather part of the widget, it stays static. I expected to get to see the "forecast" for the next few days.
Also I expected it to be somewhat animated when it is invoked (fog, rain drops, sun throbbing, windshield wipers) as that's the way it is on HTC. I thinks some of you are using this app here on LP. Can you tell me what settings to use to get these features (animated weather and weather forecast) to work? Do I have to download and use a skin other than the default one? If this is a Beautiful Widgets developer question. Does someone have the developer's email as it's not provided in the site (in France I believe).
I find the stock browser good enough but missing a vital element, a home button. I have a fair number of bookmarks now, it is a pain km scroll to Google all the time.

View 2 Replies View RelatedOn the Desire home screen I have a clock with what should be the weather info underneath which is the standard home screen.The weather info is blank apart from the name of a nearby village which i believe is where the nearest phone mast is located. (the picture on the box the phone came shows Barcelona with lots of weather info).If I tap on the blank area next to whe name I get the weather screen opening up with the name of the village where the mast is, and the word "current" in brackets next to it and the info is all showing "0" if I update it the message appears "no weather data available".I can chose another location (various pre loaded or choose Manchester UK by searching ) then choosing my desired location which then shows data.When I return to the main desire home screen the village name is back under the clock with no weather info.I guess the HTC is trying to get the weather data for the mast location nearest my phone as a default setting, I dont know how or if I can override this so that I can have my desired location (ie Manchester uk) wether data showing under the clock on the home page permanently.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI have the tronsmart CX-919 mini pc running 4.2 and there is an issue with the browser reverting back to the home page or the previous page. When I try to display a webpage on our intranet it reverts back to the homepage or previous page after about 3 hours. I need it to display constantly. I read somewhere that it was a Download Manager issue and disabling it would work but I can't find where to disable it. Also it was stated that Flash was an issue but i tried uninstalling it and it just reinstalled itself and the problem kept occurring. I just want to display a page in a browser and for it to stay on the screen (full screen) until I manually navigate away from it. I plan to leave it on for weeks at a time.

Mine worked for a day and now I get the location but no weather update.
All other locations display all info fine.
Im in Australia on Vodafone - although from the previous mentioned thread seems to be software related rather than carrier location
How I get my weather/clock widget to show the local weather? it currently shows the weather in my capital city but it used to show the local weather of the suburb I am in when I'm in different suburbs? It also used to update the weather every hour and show a sun in the day and a moon at night but now even at 12 at night it still shows the sun. I've also set the weather sync in settings to update ever hour. does anyone know what it could be thats different in my phone now?
