View 3 RepliesCan someone guide me to what is the best way to send picture/video to an email contact? I am currently using 1.6 tweaked v3 and the problem is if I can't send message using the message app(because can't find email contacts) but have to go through contacts (gmail)to send a picture. However when I do that, I can't attach a video. Now if I use the camera/camcorder app, while reviewing pictures the "send to" doesn't work. If i click on "default destination" and delete the emply destination I can choose between 5 options. The phone book option say "sorry!" the application has stopped unexpectedly and to force close. I can send video using the video player which is weird since doing it in the camcorder app won't work!. Seems alot of round about ways to do something which should be simple.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have my work email setup in the email app. Ive never had an issue sending email on any phone ive had before.
All of my settings are correct and i can receive them fine.
They just sit in outbox and whenever i go select them all and tell it to send selected messages nothing happens. They don't send and I don't get any error or anything.
When I use whatsapp to send a picture,as I select it,from my gallery, and it asks me if I want to send it to my chosen contact and I say yes,it then sends the picture before I can add any text with it.So the recipient ends up getting two messages from me,the picture and then the the text.My phone is Motorola MotoG with KitKat4.4.2,if that makes any difference?
View 2 Replies View RelatedMy cctv dvr comes with an android app that I can use to view cctv cameras.
The dvr is configured to send an email when it detects motion.
What I'm struggling with is trying to figure out how to launch the cctv android app when an email arrives, and then after a set time (e.g. 30secs) to stop the application or put it to sleep.
The idea is that I will have a number of android tablets on the wall in various rooms, and they will come on and off automatically when motion is detected outside.
Is it possible to achieve this? Is there an app that can look out for the email notification and then launch a 3rd party app i.e. the cctv app, and then after a preset time shut it down. (I think if the cctv app is left running in the background, the streaming is still continuing and drains battery and eats data.)
I just got my phone this week and I was trying to send a picture email and just a regular email and it WILL NOT work.
View 5 Replies View RelatedAll the pics I receive by MMS are tiny and apparently only 1kb in size. If I 'open' the pic, it can be stretched a bit, but being only 1kb, the resolution is terrible! I am on O2, but don't know if that's the problem?
View 5 Replies View Relatedwhen receiving pictures through gmail (I simply use the gmail app) they don't automatically appear in the email, like it does on my girlfriends Captivate through the gmail app. She didn't do anything special, just set up email and when she receives pics when she opens the email they're just there. Now there is the download and preview button next to the attachments but when I hit those my phone just says "fetching attachment, please wait". I've left my phone for at least 5 minutes and it will just sit on that screen. On one pic I did let it sit for a few minutes, gave up waiting, but noticed the pic later in my dowloaded folder. But this is the only pic it's done that with. So I would a way to get the pics to just show up in my email when I open the email, or not have to wait minutes on end for a pic to maybe get downloaded. I feel like there should be some solution without me having to download some app, since my girl's phone can do it.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI have used the stock sms, Chomp sms, and handcent sms and they all seem to have the same problem. I can send a pic through them, but when the person responds to the text, its says download, I press that and its unable to DL it says. My friend sent a pic twice on handcent, the same one, and it came through the second time only. Sometimes no pic will work at all. With hancent it resizes automatic, thats great, but still the same issue. Man I love everything about this phone but this is really annoying.

View 3 Replies View RelatedOk, I am sure this has been discussed... BUT One of the really nice things about iOS is the option to choose size of photo before email is sent.
I hate sending 2-3MB emails.
It is one of the few things iOS has going for it IMO.
I like taking High Res pics, but I shouldn't have to resize the master pic before sending... It is too many steps.
Has no one made the app to allow more of this iOS experience?
If someone sends you a picture through a text message, how can you save it to your SD card?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm not sure if this had already been addressed but is anyone having trouble sending picture (or video, etc.) mms on the eris? I'm currently using handcent and it would not send any picture texts. The sending green bubble keeps spinning no matter how long I leave it. Then the text becomes "undelivered."
I also tried sending picture mms with the native message app and it got sent but the people I was trying to send it to said they didn't receive anything.
When I'm home I have my WiFi on the entire time, but I was wondering when I get an email does it get sent to my phone through my WiFi connection or does it still get sent from the cell tower? I'm assuming that texts get sent solely through the cell towers but since email is web based could it or does it come through wifi if its on?
View 4 Replies View Relatedwithin the last month sending picture messages has become a joke. It takes like an hour almost all the time and sometimes they wont send at all. Anyone know whats going on with this? Regular texts work perfectly.
View 4 Replies View RelatedJust to prove that I used the search, the only related thread I found was where they asked the same question, and I guess the OP started using handcent as a solution, but I don't want to do that. When I go to send a picture, or receieve a picture, it shows up as a slideshow. How can I stop doing this and it just be a picture like any other phone would do?
View 4 Replies View RelatedDoes anybody else have a problem with sending and receiving picture messages with the Droid Eris? I can take them and post them to Facebook easily, but I can't e-mail or send a text message with a picture in it. Also, when someone sends me a picture message, it shows an icon to download it, but then it always says it was unsuccessful.
