I have my work email setup in the email app. Ive never had an issue sending email on any phone ive had before.
All of my settings are correct and i can receive them fine.
They just sit in outbox and whenever i go select them all and tell it to send selected messages nothing happens. They don't send and I don't get any error or anything.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI've just noticed a few things on the SF that have made me wonder if I'm missing something or if it can be changed.
First scenario.. I'm reading a text. I hit the "back" button, and it throws me to the homescreen sometimes. Then I hit the messaging button again, it brings me back to that specific text convo. I hit the back button again, and it now goes back to my inbox. Why? Is there something I'm doing that sometimes kicks me back to the homescreen instead of inbox?
Second scenario.. I'm sending a text to 2+ people. When it sends it, it essentially makes up a new contact of those people to send it to. What it should do, I think, is update each individual person's text log with that text. I find it really annoying to send a text to 10 people, and then when I get a text back from one of them, the text I sent them doesn't appear in the history. Any way to change that?
Thirdly.. I'm sure I'm just missing this, but is there any way to "mark read all" emails? I get a lot of junk emails, and so far I've had to just click through each one. Kind of cumbersome.
And this last one doesn't pertain to either email/messaging, but it's something that has caught my eye. Sometimes when I get a call, it goes to that whole "puzzle" idea and makes me fit the "Answer" puzzle in the blank spot. Other times, it just has an "Answer" button to click. It doesn't really bug me, but why does it do one sometimes instead of the other?
My email from my pop3 account worked fine the first 2 days (Sept 22). Ever since my company pop3 account will not sync unless I reboot the phone. It will not manually load messages. And has anyone else had issues with viewing emails? OMG is it slow. I moved from BB to the Facinate. BB has got them beat by a mile on emails. We won't even talk about syncing with outlook and the salesman at Verizon.I do not have the update as mine will not update which Verizon said SOME are having issues updating.

If this isn't able to be done, I can't believe it... Please give me some advice. I'm not impressed with email handling on this phone in general, but if I can't save them somewhere, I don't know what I will do...
Can someone guide me to what is the best way to send picture/video to an email contact? I am currently using 1.6 tweaked v3 and the problem is if I can't send message using the message app(because can't find email contacts) but have to go through contacts (gmail)to send a picture. However when I do that, I can't attach a video. Now if I use the camera/camcorder app, while reviewing pictures the "send to" doesn't work. If i click on "default destination" and delete the emply destination I can choose between 5 options. The phone book option say "sorry!" the application has stopped unexpectedly and to force close. I can send video using the video player which is weird since doing it in the camcorder app won't work!. Seems alot of round about ways to do something which should be simple.

View 13 Replies View RelatedI am trying to setup email on this phone for a user, i'm able to get it to download contacts, email in the Deleted folder, But it does not sync the Inbox folder.I have the same issue using the default software and using the Exchange Touchdown software.I'm sure some of you have gotten this work on droid, Any idea what could be my problem?I'm using Exchange 2003 by the way.
View 9 Replies View RelatedI have yahoo plus. When I loaded it on my Fascinate it was successful. I went thru all the steps fine. Now when I try to open the email it says Sorry! The application email (process.com.android.email) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again....force close
any insight? I would try to remove the email and start again, but the message pops up so quickly I cant even get to the setting icon.
In the Fascinate, i use gmail as my stock mail , want to delete the other mail account. Could'nt find a delete option in the email settings.

View 3 Replies View RelatedSo I just got the Samsung Fascinate last night and am having a problem setting up my email. I set up the gmail which they said I had to in order to access the marketplace - however when I go to the email app to set up my charter email account - I enter my email address and password - it says it's checking incoming network and then gives me an error saying it is unable to open connection to server. I've tried the automatic set up and manual - and I have no luck with either one. I have Verizon as my carrier - and looked on their site and Charter is a server that I should be able to set up email with on this phone.
Obviously I"m not that "saavy" with this stuff - and am not sure what to do to solve this problem. Wanted to check here first before calling them.
My phone seems to vibrate every time I get an email even though I don't really seem to have it set to vibrate. How do I disable that?

Even when I try to refresh my corporate email doesn't update. I have it set on Push, so the email should automatically flush into my inbox. I have two other gmail accounts synced to the SF and they work fine.

So here is my question:
I used to have a Blackberry and whenever I received an email from this contracting company I do work for with a scheduled meeting it would automatically sync it with my calendar. It would ask me to accept this meeting I would hit ok then look in my calender and there it was. Is there a way to do the same thing with this phone? I am not very tech savvy so I can use all the help I can get.
I am using Office 2007 Outlook to pull email from gmail. I want to add personalized ringtones to contacts but can't when syncing with gmail (weird), apparently I can with Outlook if I can figure out how to sync with it. I have a Samsung Fascinate.

And if so, I've read many problems with getting emails via exchange. I'm a newbie to this forum, and hope someone can help. Have had the Captivate for almost a month now and am plagued by an annoying problem. I have set up email accounts connecting to a google-hosted email account via IMAP. I am finding that when replying to a received email, my reply goes out with redundant repetitions of the email address on the "to" line. Example: Email from soandso@gmail.com arrives. I click "reply" on the phone and the reply goes out to soandso@gmail.com; soandso@gmail.com; soandso@gmail.com; soandso@gmail.com etc etc *10 times*, instead of just once. It also copies me about 10 times! Is anybody else seeing this? I use this for work emails, so it looks very unprofessional like I am trying to spam my clients! I have another couple of days before my 30-day return period is up, so hopefully someone else know how to fix this. Is there some setting I am overlooking?

When I use the default email client from captivate, even when I set the checking period as every 10mins, I won't get new emails unless I open the app and manually refresh, well, except the one of gmail. This happens on my yahoo email, hotmail and my school email, which all worked fine on my old iphone. People have talked about yahoo mails won't be accessible through wifi from Android, which happens on mine too. But even when I was at 3G, the email client won't auto check it either. I have tried K9 email client, it doesn't work either. The only thing I find work is the MailDriod, but the function of this app is very limited, it won't even open attachments by default. Does anyone else here have the same problem, or maybe an idea to fix the default email client?Also, I find when I use the ear set make calls, when I try to click the button on the ear set, it won't hang up the call as my iphone would. Is this a bug or just something Andriod can't do? The button on the ear set seems quite useless with Captivate, it can only control to play or pause by single click when play music, won't do song change when doule click it.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI often find myself wanted to text a message...either text or perhaps a picture attachment through the Messaging service...to not only a mobile number but to an EMAIL ADDRESS as well. I have a couple friends who prefer getting pictures on their computer instead of their phone so I might address the MMS to a few mobile phone number and then want to enter an EMAIL ADDRESS in my text message. On my old phone..as a matter of fact ALL my previous phones (Palm Centro, Couple Samsungs, Sanyo, etc...both smartphones and not-so-smart phones) I was able to type in, e.g., my name "Scott" and popup would show not only my mobile number but my EMAIL ADDRESS to select to use as an address in my SMS or MMS message.
HOWEVER, my my EVO, if I type in a contact name that has an associated email address ONLY THE MOBILE NUMBER comes up as a possible address for my text message. If I want to send to an email address (which you CAN do...text to email works fine...and vice versa) I have to M-A-N-U-A-L-L-Y type the whooooooole email address each and every time. I do NOT think there is a "setting" to change this but IS there a setting or some sort of workaround trick so that when I type a contact name with an email address the EMAIL OPTION is available in a text message "To" field??

Is there something I need to set up so I can do this? Or does anyone know what the address would be for a Sprint user? I seen some on the web and tried it using my info but it did not work. Always came back saying invalid address.
