On some phones/OS it is possible to sync the contact's caller pictures with the car's phone. on some other it isnt possible.
what does this depend from? Phone? OS? Caller app?
can this be tweaked to work on non compatible phones via the xposed framework?

Is it at all possible? We want to put non-button Views in our System Bar. We do have system keys for our specific tablet.
One of my friends tried doing it with no success, but I assume he was looking in the wrong places. I don't know what he knows about the process, so I can't say what we've tried.
We're using Android 4.2 .
I guess I should also mention that we've tried this app - [URL] ..... though we haven't been able to find any info on how he got it to work.
I was setting up some photos for the Photo Caller ID function for incoming calls and was rather disappointed at the quality of the image that comes up. I either add an image to the contact in the People app or I go to the gallery and chose to "Set as" a contact icon. The picture pops up and you are given a little square crop/zoom tool to chose the portion of the picture that you want as you icon/photo caller ID. When I stretch the square OUT as big as possible to crop and then set the image with the contact, the caller ID image that comes up is good. However, any cropping/zooming is significantly Degrades/Pixelates the image that is chosen.
I'm not using the FULL 8MB resolution (set to 5MP) for the camera and I know if you crop and zoom any image, the more you zoom the worse the quality of the picture, But the 5MP shots I have should be MORE THAN sufficient to produce a little square of a photo caller ID. I had photo caller ID that popped up on my Palm Centro with photos was cropped to 320 x 320 and saved with LOW resolution and those photos were very clear. Even with the crop and zoom that is required to produce the contact/photo caller ID image, the 5MP photos I am using should be more than sufficient to produce a clear image. Is there a fix/trick for the quality to improve? Here we have this big beautiful screen and you crop a nice-sized 5MP picture for a tiny square caller ID photo and the quality is horrible.
I could be missing this, but is there a way to send/tag a photo to facebook from the photo itself? The Facebook app for my blackberry lets me do this. If I pull up a photo I just took, I have the option of sending it to Facebook, as well as tagging it. I can't figure out how to do this on my Moment.
View 3 Replies View RelatedJust a quick question, i have set up my contacts to link to facebook accounts, linking their profile pictures to, however when any of the contacts call and their photo is displayed whilst ringing, it is quite fuzzy is this the same for everyone? i also tried taking a photo off the hero camera and using that instead, picture looked great in the viewer, but when i attach it to a person and they ring, its dead fuzzy again.

How do you get the phone to send your actual name (as displayed in the receiving phone's Caller ID) when making a phone call? I was able to set my name on my previous phones without any problem but the Samsung Epic and Sprint have me stumped. As a first step I did update my profile on Sprint and entered my real name as the one to display. I then updated my profile on the Epic but when I called my home phone "Unknown Name" was displayed on the Caller ID. Where can I enter my name so it will show up correctly on Caller ID.

I simply want to save all the pictures I take with the phone to the SD card so I can transfer the entire file later to dedicated photography software to be cataloged and tweaked.
I can't find how to set up the system so that every photo goes directly to the SD card by default.
I am trying to send a photo from my Android device to a laptop via Bluetooth. Right now I have a gallery on the screen where the photos are depicted. What I want to do is to click a photo and directly send it to the laptop. All the Bluetooth stuff works fine but what I donīt know how to do is to get the byte[] that conforms the picture that should be sent. Maybe that is not the way is supposed to be done, so please it would help if someone gives me some suggestions about how to proceed. I just need some guidelines, later I will investigate how to code everything. Once the Bluetooth messages reach the laptop is there something to do to "rebuild" the picture?
And secondly, by now I am copying the files to the drawable file of my project. Is it possible to directly get them from the folder where the picture I take are stored?
I want send more than One photo by Bluetooth that I took with my X10i, to another device (PC, mobile phone.
Is there any way that I can choose MORE THAN ONE photo and click send in stead of sending them ONE by ONE?
When I took a picture it would email it to me as well as save it to the phone. Is there an App or a way to have each picture I take automatically emailed to my laptop email address? This way I wouldn't have to manually transfer the pics from the phone to the laptop.

I have seen a good number of group postings which support this being a problem. I can only assume the OP for the linked to question made some other changes, possibly to the manifest which allowed his code to work.
The behaviour I am seeing is the Email intent handling the attachment of the jpeg from the sdcard but dealing with it as a 0 length file which is discarded when sent. I have tried setType as jpeg/image and image/jpeg as I have seen it expressed both ways....................
Camera app or organizer app that actually moves pictures instead of just displays them differently via a viewing app?
For example it would be great to have photos automatically go into pre-set albums or quickly and easily reorganize them afterwards etc. I know I can manually move them via file managers but looking for a dedicated app with different options/filters etc.
I've got a Sprint Hero and when I try to send a 1MB photo, it basically freezes up my Gmail on my smartphone. Is that normal? I've tried to do it a few times, but it just says "sending" for longer than 10 minutes. It even sort of crashes my phone by hogging all the data and not letting me surf the internet or sync with Remember the Milk and other data reliant apps.I hate this Sprint Hero, by the way (unrooted, running OS 2.1). It's a genuine POS.It's so laggy (takes literally 10 F'n seconds to call someone after I dial the number).I've honestly almost smashed it on the ground twice it's so laggy.When I'm in a hurry, I can't stand it's lagginess.It's amazing to me this phone was released to the public with such an egregious lag time on almost everything I do (most noticeably the phone, which is simple compared to other apps).

so. i used to use a particular caller id/announcer app, but i recently changed roms and now i can't remember what it was called! i think the name had something to do with a mental problem, or maybe sleep. i think the icon was kinda swirly or spiraly. the settings screen i think had a blue background. there was an option to pay for a key to unlock some of the options, something in the ballpark of $3 or $5.

I use GO Dialer and GO Contacts EX.Call receiving screen looks like stock.I had a call from friend, he wasn't saved in contacts yet. When he was calling and i went to pick the call i think i pressed something because question popup saying something like "Do you want to block something? Yes/No".I think i pressed "No" but now my friend can't call me. Phone does not respond, like no call is being done, only for that one number. Also i don't have him in my calls history.

Caller photo almost covered by black screen. You can't see the photo. In miui the caller screen is fully transparent it looks damn nice. So is there any modified apk or any way to make it transparent? Other than using third party app.
